Chloe's POV

“I'll go. Let me prove myself.”

I must do it. I need to help my friend, just the same way she'll have done for me.

I stood before the council, my eyes burning with determination.

The murmurs only angered me the more. There's no time for all these.

“Someone needs to get it…”

“But it's dangerous. Wandering into the Crescent's territory, we all know what that means. Are you sure?” Nexus breathed. She knew I wasn't going to back down, and I felt she didn't want me to back down either.

However, I saw something in those eyes of hers, something that told me everything wasn't alright.

“I have to do this. I must save my friend.”

“You don't have to prove anything to her…” Nexus scolded.

“No, I must.” I snapped. She can't stop me. “I'm not trying to prove anything. I just want to help my friend.”

The room buzzed with tension as the air grew heavily each passing second.

All I needed was her approval, I know she wants it, I just don't know what's holding her back.

  • Beyond The Full Moon   Again?

Ryan's POV My angry legs thumped against the ground as I stormed back into the woods. Magic is a beautiful thing and definitely the best gift mom gave me. Now I'm healed, I can take out that bastard. My heart clenched harder as I thought about Bella. She must be going through a lot right now and looking at me, unable to help…I'm such a dick…But don't worry, my love, that's gonna change today. My hand clutched hard to my weapons and magical items. Johan must feel every bit of the pain he's caused me. There's no holding back. The thundering of my footsteps echoed in the empty woods as I moved on, my heart hammering against my chest. The crows were crying as I moved. Go tell Johan I'm coming for him… the flapping of their wings filled the air as they dashed away. The moon's glow shone brightly on me, brandishing me like a warrior in light. My helmet was shining with bright colors as I moved on.My swords were held fast to my back, my cloak in hand and my bag of potions hung over my s

  • Beyond The Full Moon   Get ready

Ryan's POV Pain seared in my heart as I staggered back home. I could barely feel my legs. I'm a mess.My eyes were droopy and I could barely see where I was headed. I was just struggling with the last strength left in my soul to keep moving, forcing my magic to lead me back home.“Johan? What did you do to me?”The words escaped my lips, just as if he was right there standing before me, wearing the good old evil cold smirk.Gosh. I wish I could just slap him already. He's such a dick…My legs dragged against the sand, time seemed to blur before me. To be honest, I've never felt this kind of pain before. My heart is struggling to pump and it just clenched harder. My breath was ragged and my chest was filled with something else, something dark, one I couldn't understand. However, I pushed through, fighting my way through the rough bushy parts, the leaves rustled beneath the cold sole of my feet. The moon shone brightly on me, I wonder if it was helping me or not?Because the way it sta

  • Beyond The Full Moon   Axula

Chloe's POV The air buzzed with activities. Everyone seemed to be running around, rallying round just to get things set. I know she felt on top of the world. Being the queen of the moment, damn. The rustling of leaves, the endless chatter, the atmosphere and the blooming moon, it all sent shivers down my spine.I know she'll be strong.I squeezed her hands softly, my eyes beaming with pride, but something else also lurking; concern. I felt it. My best friend being the one to save the fucking world, astounding. But also, I knew she was not ready, fuck!I looked into her eyes, my face beaming with smiles, but was met with something else, fear.“Hey. What's the matter?”I held her weak hands and caressed it softly. She's scared.“I wonder if I'm ready for this journey.” Her quivering voice broke my heart.“Just look at the way they all believe in me, but I don't believe in myself. I pray I don't fail them, just as I've always failed myself.”The pain was evident in her eyes. She's been

  • Beyond The Full Moon   Love. Betrayal. Duty

Bella's POVThe moon's glow shone right in his face. I held him tightly, I wouldn't let go. His warmth filled my soul. It chased away the cold feeling of death, the one that once hovered around him.The water lapped gently against the shores, so silly of it. I know what it's trying to do, it mocks me.“What happened to you?” I cried.“What happened to me right?” He snapped back at me.“Ryan! What is wrong with you!” Chloe groaned. “She just saved you. Not even a thank you?”“A thank you? Really? After everything?” He scoffed. “When I saved both of you back then, how did you thank me? You ditched me off like some scumbag you'd just dispose of right?” He scorned, I felt the pain in his voice.“Get off me. Get away from me.” He roared.Anger burned within me. It felt like a volcano boiling, warming up, getting ready to erupt.Irrespective of his annoying behavior, I still feel relieved. It felt like a massive load just left my heart. The joy of finding him, it's too much. I can't imagine

  • Beyond The Full Moon   We meet again

Bella's POVI must say, training has not been easy for me. Everyday, I have to meditate, I have to walk through realms, I have to be examined. Damn, it's just too much, I never expected all these. After enough rigorous training under the prying eyes of the elders, they finally granted me some rest.“You can retire for now. We'll continue in a week.” Nexus breathed into my ears.Phew! Finally, I get a break. Damn. The weight of everything, it just pressed down hard on me right now. I'm tired, but my mind is strained. It's overworked, overwhelmed, completely exhausted. My legs pushed through the corridors, it felt like I carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. Also, all these while, all I've been thinking about is my savior, my joy, Ryan.Somehow, thinking about him makes me focused. Memories of our annoying time together, you know, our banters, his warm touch, the joy we shared, even though we hid it from each other. Most importantly, the pain of our fucking separation, that a
