Aurora's pov

I have always thought my fate will be different from others since I thought I am the only daughter of my parents, but I was wrong, I was just their only chance to success and nothing more.

I watch as the greasy looking men lust over my body and yelled within myself, it's going to be hell from now on. I tried to hold back the tears that are threatening to roll down my cheeks. I have had a thorough life from birth and growing up has been a disaster with my family having less or no care about me.

I am just a tool to their future success. In my hometown a female has no right, no usefulness, they are just a means of getting funds to support the men.

On this day it was my 18th birthday and it marked the end of my freedom and beginning of my suffering, my parents had already negotiated with merchants and wanted to sell me to raise my brothers.

I was dressed in my best clothes even thoughto others it was just a faded clothes or less a rag.

My father dragged me while telling me to behave to my new owner, I tried begging my father but it fell on deaf ears as I was just raised to be sold to ensure my brother's life and future, I was being thrown to the merchant and dragged to an underground casino.

“Wow such a beauty you brought this time I’ll make sure to buy her” some men start whispering as I was dragged in by the merchant.

“I will bid 50,000 DKK” Said a burly looking man.

“That's to low for her, i will bid 300,000 DKK" I watched as they bid on me like a she-goat and I couldn't stop my tears from falling. I have always loved my family and even though all they do is maltreat and bully me, I always thought that they will love me one day but now it seems it was never going to happen.

“2million DKK”

I have been watching them bid without reaction but I could not help but gasp 'That is so much for a slave’ my heart starts raising in fear what is he gonna do with me.

“Any higher bidder? Going for 2million DKK, one…” the bidder was confident that nobody could bid higher than him, so he sent his assistant out to come take me.

“Going two….."

“Going three…..”

“1billion DKK” suddenly a man said. I was stunned, I was surprised about the earlier bid, but now I am dumbfounded and perplexed. I could not see the man's face as he was sitting at the dark corner of the casino. He blended with the darkness and it felt like he was created from it. I was consumed by great fear and also my curiosity was piqued 'Who is this strange man'.

“Any higher bidder”

“Are we mad, why would we waste our money? She is not that extraordinary, let him have her” screamed the men.

“Going one…"

“Going two…”

“Going three…. Since there is no higher bidder she is sold” the boss announced

‘Just like that I now belong to someone like a dog’.

A man approached the boss and after a few words exchange and the payment was done I was handed over to him. “Come with me,” he said to me.

“Are you my new owner?” I asked cautiously.

“No, you will meet him soon”

He took me to the underground packing lot where a man was leaning on a luxurious car, I did not know about cars but I could tell it was expensive 'what was I expecting from a man who was willing to buy a slave for 1billion.

“Lord Logan, this is the lady you bought” said the man who seemed to be his assistant. So the name of my owner is Logan, the name sounds familiar like I have heard it from somewhere before.

“Hmm” Lord Logan replied scrutinizing me with his deep dark gaze. I dared not lift my head to look at the man in front of me; he was exuding a chilling aura that could freeze someone on the spot.

“What's your name?” Lord Logan asked after assessing me, his voice was so deep and hoarse one could tell he rarely spoke but it commanded respect. I didn't reply him but stilled my gaze to the floor instead.

“Look up,” Lord Logan commanded. His voice was so cold that it made me shivered so I looked up scared.

I really want to spit into his well sculpted face but I was scared to face consequences. Nobody would want to keep a disobedient slave, not even the one that was so expensive, I did not want to be resold or tortured.

I looked up as I was ordered but did not meet his eyes cause I was mad, mad at my self for believing my family ever loved me, mad at my family for being so heartless 'I felt betrayed', and mad at this man who now thinks he owns me.

“Look into my eyes” he said again and I unwillingly met his gaze, as I look into his dark eyes I couldn't retrieve my eyes.

I was locked into his eyes. His eyes are so deep and unfathomable like an ocean that is going to swallow me whole.

Aurora's POVThe ride back from the underground party was silent. Logan sat beside me in the sleek black car, his jaw sharp and clenched, his eyes staring out into the night as if searching for answers in the shadows. I, on the other hand, was drowning in questions. What kind of man had I married? I had glimpsed something tonight something ruthless behind those cold, aristocratic eyes. But then again, I had seen that same darkness the moment he forced me into this marriage. The city lights flickered past, reflecting off the tinted windows. My hands twisted nervously in my lap, the wedding band on my finger glinting mockingly in the dim interior. When we arrived home, I followed Logan into the mansion, my heels clicking on the marble floor like a countdown to my own doom. The staff bowed as we passed, their expressions carefully blank. It was as though they were trained not to see or perhaps too afraid to look.In the privacy of the bedroom, I finally broke the silence.“ Lord Logan,”

  • Beyond the velvet curtain - The mafia Lord rule   Chapter 14: Who you belong to

Aurora's POVThe car rolled to a smooth stop, its tinted windows shielding me from the chaos outside. I didn’t know where we were going until the heavy bass of music vibrated through the ground beneath my heels. Lord Logan stepped out first, his tall frame cutting an intimidating figure under the dim glow of neon lights. He extended his hand toward me, his expression unreadable as always.“Come,” he said simply. My heart pounded as I placed my hand in his. The instant our skin touched, an electric tension surged through me part fear, part something I refused to name. He guided me out, and the chill of the night air hit me like a slap before we descended a narrow flight of stairs. The door at the bottom creaked open to reveal an entirely different world an underground casino buzzing with life. Crystal chandeliers cast a golden glow over velvet draped walls. Men in tailored suits and women in glittering gowns crowded around poker tables and roulette wheels, their laughter mingling with

Logan was there, tall and commanding, his attention fixed on the watch strapped around his wrist. He tapped his fingers impatiently, every line of his posture sharp with authority. Then he turned and when his eyes landed me, he froze for a brief second, I thought I saw surprise flicker in his gaze. He looked at me as though measuring me, as though seeing me for the first time. My heart was hammered. But just as quickly, his expression hardened again. He straightened, slipped his watch back onto his wrist, and said simply, “Let’s go.”“Where to?” I asked, confusion slipping into my voice. His eyes snapped to mine, sharp and cold. “What did I say about questioning me?” His tone was low, laced with warning.I swallowed hard, my pulse quickening. From everything I’d observed so far, one thing was clear: Lord Logan had a temper, one that burned quickly and without mercy and I was already standing far too close to the fire.I stayed quiet and followed him like a puppet, I so much hate this,

A while later, just as I began to calm my racing thoughts, a sudden knock startled me. My heart leapt to my throat. For a moment I hesitated, debating whether to answer, but curiosity got the better of me.When I opened the door, my breath caught.Diva stood there. Her perfume reached me before her smile did, It was sweet, suffocating, and deliberate. Behind her loomed two tall men in black, their broad shoulders blocking the hallway light. They looked familiar, too familiar. I’d seen them among Lord Logan's men before. Why were they with her?“Hello again,” Diva purred, her eyes gleaming as she stepped forward, forcing me to retreat into my own room. The men remained at the door, silent and stiff.“I… wasn’t expecting you,” I managed, my voice barely above a whisper.“Of course you don't darling” she replied smoothly, glancing around my room as though she owned it. “You’re quite comfortable here, aren’t you? Living under Logan’s roof, breathing his air, eating from his table.”There

She was very fair that her tiny long legs stand outI continued chewing the food in my mouth, but I couldn't help but stare at the woman. Her elegance was captivating, and she carried herself with confidence. Her long, curly hair cascaded down her back like a golden waterfall, and her piercing green eyes seemed to sparkle in the dim light of the room. She strode towards me with a warm smile, her high heels clicking on the marble floor. I felt a shiver run down my spine as her gaze swept over me, her eyes narrowing slightly."Hello," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "I am Diva. • Beyond the velvet curtain - The mafia Lord rule   Chapter ten: I am in your house

Logan's POV "I am sorry," she mouthed, breathless. I glared at her, my anger still simmering, but her apology caught me off guard. "Why are you eating like that?" I asked again, trying to keep my tone neutral. She looked down, her cheeks flushing. "I have not eaten all day," she said quietly. My anger began to dissipate, replaced by concern. What had happened to her? "Sit down, let's eat together, I am not mad at you anymore, eat then we can discuss after" I guided her to the table, pulling out a chair for her. She slowly sat down, still looking down, her eyes welling up with tears. I think I had made her lose her appetite, because she only took small bites. As much as I loved the fear in her eyes, I hated the glistening tears in her eyes. They made me feel like I'd crossed a line, like I'd hurt her more than I intended. I reached out, gently wiping away a tear that rolled down her cheek. "I'm sorry," I whispered. "I didn't mean to scare you." She looked up at me, her eyes searc
