Chapter 39

It was early in the evening. Amelia was busy with her works in the diner when her phone rang off.

It's an unknown number. Without bothering much, she answered the call and pressed it against her ear.

"Miss Zones?" a feminine voice asked from the other side of the phone call.

Amelia's mind automatically wandered towards Knight's Corp. But remembering the expression, she found on Nathan's face, she sure she wouldn't get the job. So the hope vanished in the thin air.

"Yes, it's Amelia Zones speaking. Who's this?" She replied which trying to sound normal.

"Miss Zones, I am from Knight's Corp and hereby to inform you that you have been selected from the interviewees and appointed as the personal assistant of Mr. Knight. Your presence is expected to be here tomorrow at sharp 9 in the morning." informing Amelia, the woman cut off the line without giving Amelia any chance to clear her confusion let alone say something.
