"I am here with you, Amelia. Just talk to me. Don't you think I deserve an explanation?" Nathan gave Amelia a gentle squeeze holding her forearms.

Amelia kept looking into his eyes and just when she was about to speak up, she remembered her words.

Either way it was the truth that she chose money over him and left him back then.

Making her expression cold, she forced herself to look straight into his eyes.

"No. I thought you are smart enough to understand me. But I guess I was wrong."

Nathan knitted his brows at her comment but didn't utter anything. Amelia continued, "You were money in my eyes, Nathan. So when I realised there was no way for me to get an hand on your money through you, I left you. That's it."

Raising his brows, Nathan spoke up, "Is that so? Okay, then." and let go of her arms.

He took two steps back creating a distance between them.

If you are not going to speak up like this, then I think I should go another way.
