33. My Girl!

As soon as I went inside, I had to cover my ears because of the loud volume. It was just too loud. That’s why I hated attending parties and going to the clubs. I just don’t like this noise.

“Are you fine?”

I heard Manik’s whisper once again behind me. It was not a whisper for real.

“The music is just too loud.”

He looked back and nodded, understanding my discomfort. He was about to walk away when I stopped him holding his hand. He turned to look at me in surprise. Certainly he didn’t expect me to hold his hand when there were so many people around.

“Where are you going ?”

I spoke as loud as I could after freeing his hand with the hope that only he would hear me and no one else. It wouldn’t look good otherwise. After all, I don’t have the right to question my boss this way,
