34. Fired

NEXT MORNING

It was our day off. I was up almost the whole night after Manik walked out of my room. I couldn’t close my eyes even for a while. Only Manik’s face and his actions from last night was running in my mind. I didn’t feel like getting up. I wanted to remain on the bed. But I had to go out and check on Manik once. He might have a hangover after being so drunk last night.

Manik!

His name got me the flashes of the events of last night. Mainly when he called me ‘my girl.’ I wish it was all true.

Sigh!

I groaned and walked into the washroom. After having a quick shower, I put on a nice dress making sure it hid the mark on my shoulder. I looked at myself in the mirror as I tried to see whether I looked presentable or not. I was satisfied when the mark was no longer visible.

When I reached the hall, I found Manik sitting there all comfortably. I was surprised to see him acting all normal. He was sipping his regular coffee along with reading the business newspaper in his tab.
