“Thank you, sir.”

Beatrice got out of the car. Amadeo was at her side and bowed to her.

“I will send you to your room, madam.”

“Ah? No! I’m okay. I can go there on my own, thank you.” Beatrice forced a smile at Amadeo. Then she looked at Cone. “I’ll call you later.”

Cone bowed. “I’ll be in the parking lot only, madam.”

“It’s okay. You can do anything you want. I’ll be out in the afternoon.”

Cone looked at her hesitantly. “But…” He looked at Amadeo. When he nodded back to her, he bowed again to Beatrice. “Okay, madam.”

“I’ll go now. Thank you for your help,” Beatrice said and walked inside the building.

Amadeo shook his head. “Looks like madam needs more time to adjust to her new life.” He sighed. “Cone. Follow Madam’s orders. But make sure to know everything she does. Then report it to me later.”
