Strong Maa

"She is on last stage" Dr William said looking my mother reports.

" do we have cure" I asked with hope.

" Sorry Anika, but she has little more time" Dr William said with sigh.

"Ok" i wishper.

There is no way I can treat her cancer. I left hospital taking my leave for week and went to garden where I mostly come whenever I was upset and miss my family. I took deep breath to clam my self. I can't cry in front of her it will make her weak.I was thinking my all memories with my mother. The way she always helping me without my knowing. increasing me to study more Whenever papa plan to stop my study she always find way to call my uncle. My train of thought broke when I heard my cell phone is ringing. my mother was calling.

"Hello" I said.

" Don't cry, I already told you I want happy moments with you" She said. She knows me better than anyone.

" Ok Ok...I will not cry" I said wipping my tears.

"Come home, I have made your favourite breakfast" She said I know she is smiling. My strong maa.

"Where is Angela" I asked first question once I entered in my apartment.

"School" Mrs Singh replied.

" Ok, I thought she is also on leave" I said removing my shoes.

"You are the one has allowed her only for 3 days leaves" She said Changing channel on the TV.

"Yeah, I remember" I said going to kitchen.

" I missed your cooking" I said mummy. who is making feast for me.

"Breakfast is already setup on the table" She said making paneer tikka for me.

"Don't you think you are making lunch early" I asked.

"What is the timing" She asked and I checked my wristwatch it's already past Twelve.

"Sorry, I didn't notice the time" I said.

"it's ok Anika, Don't stress yourself" She said squeezing my hand.

"Please eat your late breakfast, So you can atleast eat little bit of lunch" She said showing me dinning table.

"Yes mummy" I said.

"Are we going to today for outing" Mrs Singh asked.

"Yes , I am planning let's have dinner out today" I asked and she nodded.

" I will show you near by areas and gardens, So Angel will also join for our outings" I said 

"Yes, I also don't want go without her" My mom said while I took one spoon of Upma (indian dish)

"I Missed you so much mummy" I said and drop of tear rolled down on my cheek.

"Anika, Don't cry. let's make more happy memories" Mrs Singh said.

"Let her cry Ankita" My mom said hugging me. A loud sob escaped from my mouth when she hugged me I cried my heart out finally I relaxed in her arms.

"Now Anika, I don't want to see single tear in your eyes" mummy said once I whimpering in her arms and I nodded looking at her lovely eyes. Same time I got call form Paul and excused myself going to balcony.

"Hey Anika, Sorry I didn't pick your call on morning" Peter said once I picked the call.

"It's ok , I know you work late night" I said knowing he has family to support.

"I want you meet my mother today evening at dinner" I said 

"Yes today I took a leave especially for you so I can spend sometime with you and compensate for missing your graduation ceremony" He said and I smiled. I like him.He always consider my feelings and always respect me.

"One new five start hotel opened here Weldon hotel and industriess we all are going for dinner " I told him.

"Ok, I will be on time" He said.

"Ok reach at 8pm sharp" I said.

"See you soon" He said and cut the call.

"Anika, Is someone special" Mrs Singh asked.

"Y..yes" I replied shysly.

"When are you planning to let him meet us" She asked teasing me.

"Today evening" I said 

"Ohhh nice" Mrs Singh said squeezing my hand.

" Did you told your mom" she asked.

"Not yet" I said suddenly I started feeling nervous.

"She will like him, don't worry" Mrs Singh said with assurance smile on his face.

"I hope so" I said don't know hows my mom will react on my this decision.

"So tell me hows he as person, Do you planning to take your relationship for life" She asked.

"Yes.. I have planned " I said playing with my fingers.

"Don't be nervous Anika" Mrs Singh said.

"Does he love you" She asked.

"Hmmmm, He said he like me and I also like him" I said looking at her 

"Do you know there is difference between love and like" Mrs Singh said.

"Yes ma'am, We are working on it" I said looking in my phone.

"Take further steps when you are ready Anika" Mrs Singh said and I nodded.

"I am home" Angela yelled coming inside.

"Early today" I asked.

"Last lecture got cancelled so back home so I can spend more time with Aunt" She said sitting on dinning table.

"With Mummy or to have yummy food" I asked and all laughed.

"Yes, I always have to eat food made by you and me and some times outside food, Now I have someone who can cook delicious food for me"  she said licking her lips.

"Ohh My poor baby" I hugged her shoulder.

"Now come all and have launch" My mom said serving food in Angela plate.

"Eat indian foods" She said giving more paneer in her plate.

"You are best Aunt" She said showing her pearly teeth.

"You are so cute baby girl, I always wanted sister for Anika" My mom said rubbing her head.

"Give your all love to her" I complaint sitting beside Angela.

"Meri betiya (my daughter)" Mom said feeding me with her hand.

"I missed eating food with your hand" I said tear was coming my back of the eyes.

"You are getting so emotional now a days" Mom said kissing my forehead.
