Chapter 02

AUTHOR'S POV

“ Angel. ” The voice called out her stage name and she raised her head to look up at the person calling her.

It was Jack. The bartender in the club where she was going to start performing from today. She was lost in her thoughts and she missed out on what he was saying at all.

“ Focus. You need to focus. ” He reminded, making her nod her head at him or more to herself.

“ I don't want to do it Jack. ” Raising her head again, she stared at him with her rare Hazel eyes.

Her cherry bow shaped lips were set in a thin line, screaming her discomfort with all of this. Her straight pointed nose was standing proud, her broad forehead was adorned with a deep frown.

“ You have to do it Hazel and you have to do it right. ” He warned her this time, using her real name. His tone was almost threatening, that made Hazel sigh to herself.

Jack knew Hazel from before. Before she started working in the Dream Club.

“ Okay Jack. I understand so don't nag at me too much. ” Rolling her eyes, Hazel pushed herself off the chair and started walking out of the cafe they were currently sitting in to talk everything through.

Jack's warning was ringing in her ears, making her feel dizzy. Who was he to warn her like this? He did not have that kind of authority. She needed to tell him. She needed to ask him to restrict Jack from talking like this to her.

Marching through the streets, she mentally prepared herself for her first show tonight as a stripper at Dream Club. A VIP place where many confidential meetings of big Corporations were held.

The loud music and the lustful eyes that refused to be anywhere else other than the bodies of the strippers performing, made it easier for those big businessmen to keep everything a secret. In those places, even if someone tried to find out their secret meeting, they would never be able to. It was a place like this. A hub of corporates.

Shaking her head, Hazel sighed out heavily to herself. Today was a big day. She needed to be prepared for it.

************

“ Angel. It's your turn. ” The shrilly female voice made her whip her head around.

Her heart was beating in her throat. Curling her hands into fists, she nodded curtly and turned around to look at her reflection in the mirror.

She was wearing a skimpy short black dress that barely reached her thighs, her breasts were highlighted as half of them were spilling out. The black shiny color of the outfit made her milky white skin stand out.

She flinched looking at herself and noticed her on point makeup. The red lipstick on her lips made them stick out, her eyes were highlighted with shadow eye makeup. So much foundation and blush was applied that she cringed for the nth time. This was not her at all. And that was what she needed. To not be herself.

She was sure that no man-NO MAN, would be able to take his eyes off her now. She was ready to go and do what she was supposed to do.

Confidently, she started walking out after pushing all her emotions at the back of her mind.

The first thing she saw as she stepped on the floor was the pole in the middle. Then her eyes scanned the people sitting on different red luxurious round sofas. Darkness washed over them yet she was standing in a spotlight. This did not phase her one bit.

The song started playing in the back and she heard several shouts, hoots and vulgar lines thrown at her.

She needed to focus. Like Jack said, she needed to focus.

Slowly, she grabbed the pole and started swaying her body sensually as the voices among the people grew. A smug seductive smile graced her lips, realizing how right she was. No man was able to ignore her.

Leisurely as she twirled around the pole, her eyes moved over the people.

Roaming around, her Hazel orbs stopped at a specific couch where only three men were sitting. All of them were young - in their twenties or thirties. Their slick business suits screamed Elite.

Her eyes were fixed there as she bent her knees and spread her legs, hearing several shouts of approval once more. Then she pushed herself up.

She had managed to grab the attention of those three men this time. They stopped talking and turned to look at the stage.

Hazel's eyes stopped at one of them. Dark chocolate brown eyes were staring at her blankly from across the area. For a moment, she held her breath back and spinned around the pole, her eyes still holding his.

The other man sitting beside this insanely handsome man said something and the man she was watching closely, shook his head before looking away.

He looked away so easily.

The two men with him were eyeing her lustfully, but that man with chocolate brown eyes was sipping on his whiskey.

Was he even a man? Hazel scoffed in her mind and kept performing until the song came to an end.

Ignoring all the voices around her, she glanced a last time at that disinterested man and strolled back to the dressing room.

Who did he think he was? She squinted her eyes and started walking out.

She still had to do something. Something that she came here to do. First thing failed and now it was time to do the second thing.

As she moved past the corridors, a huge body collided with hers almost throwing her back. She closed her eyes, anticipating the fall, when two strong arms grabbed her small waist preventing her from falling down.

A strong masculine scent hit her nostrils, making her open her eyes to stare at the eyes staring back at her blankly. Chocolate Brown eyes. So deep and so mysterious yet at the same time void of any emotion.

“ Are you alright? ” His deep low voice sent shivers down her spine and she found herself unable to say anything for a moment.

Not getting any reply from her, he pulled her up and left her body before stepping away from her. “ Sorry. ” Apologizing frantically, he moved past, leaving his lingering scent behind.

Turning around on her heels, Hazel noticed him walking away gracefully. His aura was one of Power - Power from birth. His black fitted suit made his huge physique stand out.

Hazel watched him until he was at end of the corridor. Suddenly, he staggered on his feet and grabbed his head with his right hand, after taking support of the wall with his left one.

Hazel's lips curled up into her famous smug smile and she gradually approached him. “ You need help. ” She announced from behind and held his arm, ready to provide him the help he needed in this moment.

The man with Chocolate brown eyes did not protest this time. He seemed to be drunk out of his mind, when he was fine a moment ago.

His pupils were dilated and his breaths were ragged. His stance was slumped, just as his feet staggered when Hazel led him to one of the rooms in the club.

Opening the door with great difficulty, she helped him go inside. He was putting some of his weight on her and yet she felt like she was going to die with just this. Why was he so heavy?

She groaned internally and walked him to the bed in the middle of the room, before dropping him down on it. He grunted as his body hit the bed. Moving his head around, he tried to open his eyes, that were closed now.

He could see her blurry image yet everything in his head was spinning worse than before. Everything was hazy and he felt like he drank tons of alcohol, when he only drank a little.

What was happening?

Hazel curiously leaned over him to see if he was alright, when he grabbed her arms and turned her over. A gasp left her lips when her back met the soft mattress and his weight crushed her as he hovered above her.

“ What are you doing? ” Hazel yelped out and tried to push him away, when he leaned in to rest his head in the crook of her neck.

Hazel's heart was thumping against her ribcage violently. He inhaled deeply before exhaling in her neck, making her breath hitch.

What was he doing?

His hot lips came in contact with the soft skin of her neck, making her eyes go wide. She gulped when he trailed feathery kisses down her neck. She blinked furiously, waiting for him to let her go.

And before she knew, he was all over her, not letting her go as she expected....
