Elijah Theodore Martinez
“Sir, Mr. Martinez called earlier. He said that you need to go home tonight. And if you don’t come home, today will supposedly be your last day in the company,” my secretary, Miko, said fearfully after relaying Dad’s message.
What’s new? No matter what decision I make regarding Dad’s order, I’m doomed either way. If I don’t go back to the mansion, Miko will surely lose his job tomorrow—or worse, maybe even me. But if I do go home, I’ll probably spend another whole week in a bad mood.
I don’t know why my Dad is so pressured for me to have a child. The old man practically sells me off to all his friends and business partners just so I might take interest in their daughters. As if I’m going to run out of women in the world and never have children.
“I will give him a call, you may go now,” I calmly but firmly instructed Miko, who immediately obeyed.
As soon as I was left alone in my office, I called Dad. I just hoped he would still accept my reasons for not going to his place tonight.
“Hello, Dad. How are you?” I said in a tired voice, hoping he would notice. Besides, I wasn’t lying—I really was exhausted from all the meetings and work throughout the day.
“I’m all good, son. It’s good that you called. I tried contacting you earlier, but it was Miko who answered,” he replied with slight disappointment.
I leaned back in my swivel chair. Talking to our new investors earlier had really drained all my energy. “Sorry, Dad. You know I’ve been quite busy these past few days. Next week is the opening of our new hotel and resort in Palawan, and I want everything to be perfect like you told me,” I apologized.
“I know, Elijah, and I am very proud of you, you know that…” Dad said gently from the other line.
A smile immediately appeared on my face. Looks like my acting is working today, I thought to myself.
“…but that act will not work on me anymore, my dear son. You’re coming home tonight, or you’ll lose everything you have now. That’s the only option you have, Elijah, and I hope you make the right choice,” Dad added before hanging up, instantly wiping the smile off my face.
What the f*ck? It was basically his way of saying I had no choice but to obey him. I unconsciously massaged my temples as a throbbing headache suddenly hit me.
It was already past ten in the evening when I decided to stop by our house. Dad never specified what time I had to come home, so hopefully, if he had guests over, they’d already left.
I parked my Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail in the empty parking space in front of our house. I sighed in relief when I noticed there were no other cars in the driveway except for Dad’s collection.
But the relief on my face immediately disappeared the moment I entered the house and was greeted by a woman wearing a tight red dress. Even while seated, I could tell it was short from the amount of thigh she was showing, while her parents happily chatted with Dad.
“Oh, Elijah. Good thing you still came home. I was already planning to call Attorney Diaz,” Dad joked with a laugh, though the triumph on his face was obvious after successfully forcing me to come home.
“I’m sorry I’m late. I just had a lot to finish at the office,” I apologized again as I walked toward the living room where they were gathered.
“Your son is very hardworking, Elias. No wonder your family keeps getting richer,” the man speaking to Dad praised me.
I quietly sat beside my father while observing the guests.
“I won’t disagree with you there. I really can’t complain about my son. He’s hardworking and intelligent. I’m truly grateful to this kid because thanks to him, I’m enjoying early retirement without any worries,” Dad proudly boasted about me, which genuinely made me happy.
Even though it had only been the two of us since I was young, Dad never lacked in giving me care and love. That’s why no matter what he asks of me, I can never bring myself to refuse him.
“It must be wonderful to have your son as a son-in-law. If our only daughter ended up with someone like Elijah, I’d finally feel at ease—especially when it comes to business,” Mr. Sanchez, one of our new business partners whom Dad personally negotiated with, said with a smile.
“Oh, absolutely. In fact, I’ve already been trying to get him married. We’re getting older too, and I want to play with my future grandchild while I still can,” Dad teased again as he looked at Rachel, the Sanchez couple’s only daughter. “How about you, hija? Do you already have a boyfriend? My Elijah here doesn’t have a girlfriend,” Dad continued shamelessly advertising me.
“Dad, come on. Aren’t you embarrassed?” I whispered while rubbing the back of my neck. Even if I didn’t have high blood pressure, whenever I talked to Dad, I felt like my blood pressure shot up.
Rachel shyly smiled while sneaking glances at me. “I don’t have a boyfriend, Mr. Martinez,” she said modestly, though every glance she threw was directed at me.
I already knew how these situations went. Surely, this woman only wanted one thing from me. Just like the other girls Dad introduced to me, she probably only wanted my body.
Well, who was I to deny her wish?
I gave her a gentle smile before signaling for her to follow me to my room while our parents remained busy talking among themselves. And just as I expected, at the very first test, the woman standing before me already failed.
Eliana Grace HerreraI continued following Theo from the cellphone store until we reached the department store, where he kept browsing through different clothes. He didn't even spare me a glance, no matter what I said while walking beside him.Theo handed me two expensive outfits once again—one red and one pink. They were children's clothes, and I figured they would fit our twins, Elise and Eliza. Since he wasn't listening to anything I said anyway, I simply resigned myself to following him around. After filling three large shopping carts with all sorts of items—from shoes, clothes, and toys to countless other things—he finally headed to the cashier to pay, while I trailed behind him like nothing more than his assistant. If he had already spent nearly half a million pesos on the cellphones earlier, I was even more stunned by the total for everything he bought this time. The bill came to around seven hundred thousand pesos. It hadn't even been half a day, yet Theo had already spent wel
Eliana Grace HerreraI don't know how long I had been asleep, but my body still hadn't recovered from its exhaustion. I slowly turned onto my right side, only to let out a quiet groan as a sharp ache throbbed between my legs."Hey, are you okay?" the man beside me asked in a husky voice, probably awakened by my movement and my soft whimper.I forced myself to calm down before answering him."Yeah, I'm fine," I lied.Theo gently turned to face me before carefully pulling me against his chest."Does it hurt that much? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" he asked tenderly as he softly stroked my hair.I shook my head."No need. Yes, it's still painful, but it'll go away. It's normal, after all," I replied quietly.Although I could tell Theo wanted to take me to the hospital, he respected my wishes. We stayed like that for several more minutes, silently holding each other until he finally got out of bed."I'll prepare a warm bath for you. Just stay here, okay?" he said before wal
Eliana Grace HerreraTheo captured my lips in another kiss as he slowly walked toward the bed. Even though my mind was filled with questions, they all quickly disappeared because of his warm caresses and kisses.A few moments later, I felt my back sink onto the soft mattress while Theo hovered above me, still intoxicated by my body."Uhmm... Theo... Please..." I moaned and pleaded with him for reasons I couldn't even understand. He didn't disappoint me. He gently squeezed and played with one of my breasts using one hand, while the other immediately found the very center of my body. He toyed with both of my sensitive spots at the same time while his lips continued to explore my mouth."Ohh..." Another moan escaped my lips when Theo finally released them. He slowly lifted himself off me to remove his shirt, allowing me to admire the beautiful contours of his body once again.I slowly sat up on the bed and, without saying a word, reached for his belt so I could unbuckle it myself.Theo u
Eliana Grace Herrera"T-Theo..." I continued to moan as the man embraced me while we remained in the very middle of the bar where we were dancing."What?" the man asked lazily as he gently kissed my neck, which was now completely exposed to him. Every now and then, he sucked on it, surely leaving another mark that would be visible tomorrow."Stop what you're doing. There are so many people here," I continued trying to stop him as I attempted to remove one of his hands from inside my underwear, where it freely massaged my wet womanhood. But instead of granting my request, he only became more determined in what he was doing as he slipped one of his fingers inside me, causing another moan to escape my lips."Your body says the opposite, Eliana. You're so wet for me, I can feel it," he replied as his finger moved faster and faster.I could no longer answer him, especially when he added another finger to pleasure me."Realize it, Eliana. Don't control it. Cum hard on my finger, babe. I wan
Eliana Grace HerreraIt was already past ten by the time we finished our dinner, and throughout the entire meal, Theo's expression had been impossible to read. Instead of sitting across from me, he had moved his chair beside mine so he could stay as close to me as possible."Do you want anything else to eat?" he asked softly, leaning down slightly. One of his arms rested on the back of my chair while his other hand held mine on top of the table.I shook my head before reaching for my glass of water."I'm full, Theo. What about you? Do you want to eat anything else? The night's still young, and I don't mind waiting for you," I replied with a smile.Like me, he simply shook his head before raising his hand to call over a waiter who had been standing nearby."I'm good too. Let's get the bill," he said. After paying, Theo helped me to my feet since I was wearing high heels. He never removed the arm wrapped around my waist until we finally reached his car.As he drove, he kept stealing gla
Elijah Theodore MartinezEliana took a week to recover after her miscarriage. From time to time, she would go back to her family home to visit her siblings, but by nightfall, she would always return to my condo. Not once did we talk about her surrogate contract or what we should do now that the baby conceived through our IVF was gone. Over the past few days, we had simply focused on helping each other heal. Somehow, little by little, it was helping us recover from the tragedy we had both endured."You're home so early. I'm not done cooking yet," Eliana said in slight panic when she saw me walk into the unit we were staying in.Ever since she was discharged from the hospital, I hadn't left her unit anymore. Before, I would only stay here at night and still return to the neighboring unit that I had bought. But now, I had practically moved all of my belongings here. We were basically living together with the way things were between us.I immediately walked over to the kitchen to see what
Eliana Grace HerreraI feel like the heavens and the earth have collapsed on me, as if God has already given me all the problems in this world. Sometimes, I even want to question Him and blame Him. I’ve been a good person. Ever since I was a child, I never hurt or oppressed anyone. As much as I cou
