Seventy eight: I told him.

A tear dropped from my eyes. Fear instantly overwhelmed me. Was it possible that the doctor was playing a prank on me?

"Ma'am?" I called in a low voice, still widening my eyes at her. "Are you— did you— just say I'm pregnant? I mean, it's not possible."

"Huh?" She scrunched her face like I was speaking like an idiot. "What do you mean by that? The scan can't lie. In fact…" she stretched an envelope to me. "This is the scan picture. You can check it yourself."

"What?" My lips squeezed as I was about to tear up, tears already overshadowing my eyes. "This shouldn't be. I can't be pregnant! I'm not supposed to be!"

"But you are. Pregnancy is a good thing actually. It brings—" the doctor spoke, obviously trying to console me. But, I interrupted her immediately.
