Seventy four: Gone.

Wandering in front of the intensive care unit, Shanice and I couldn't help but keep on being so anxious. Personally, I still felt so guilty. All I hoped was for the surgical operation to work out fine. 

"All this probably wouldn't have happened if we let her stay with us," Shanice mumbled as she leaned her back against the wall, running her palm through her hair, and weeping so much. 

I hurried to her, and grasped her hands. "Let's be positive," I said to her. "She'll be fine. At least, the doctor and nurses are working on her. It's not like there's no hope."

"But she seemed so weak!" She retorted, tearing up more. "She couldn't even say anything!"

"Calm damn," my voice was so shaky, literally holding much fear. "Let's just be positive. We've got no other choice."
