I was in a daze the next day because, honestly, I still couldn't believe what happened last night, especially when I saw Andrew. What if my cruel husband is here too? Am I really ready to meet him again?
"Sister Lily, coffee?" Mitzy offered me coffee.
I was on their veranda this morning, and I chose to meditate there because I woke up early even though my head still hurt.
"Thanks, Mitzy! Where's Stella?" I asked her.
She handed me the iced coffee she brewed before answering me.
"She's still sleeping. It's obvious that she drank too much last night," she answered me after laughing a little.
I also laughed and nodded because that girl had drunk a lot. I was planning to leave here a while ago when I woke up, but I knew it would be a long time before Stella and I met again because we would both be busy with our daily activities. I also need to talk to her because I don't know how she ended up with Andrew last night.
I just stayed on the veranda and meditated there with Mitzy until she said goodbye for a while to cook breakfast for the three of us. I really wanted to help, but Mitzy didn't want to because she said I was a guest there, even though I used to take care of Stella's house before. I just let her do what she wants because my head still hurts.
I don't know how many times I yawned there while I was stunned, and sometimes I scrolled through my social media. There are so many notifications there, and I have pictures tagged with me at night. I even had a celebrity with me, and the whole town almost shipped us again. The others were bashing me, so I was almost in agony and just laughed.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Stella asked from behind me.
I raised my eyebrows and immediately put down my phone before turning to her.
"And why are you even asking? Am I not allowed here?" I asked her straight away.
Stella's eyes were swollen when I looked at her, maybe because she was drunk last night. She laughed and immediately rubbed her eyes before shaking her head and speaking.
"Of course not! Did you sleep here?" she asked again.
"What happened last night? I don't remember anything except dancing last night on the dance floor." She asked more.
I raised an eyebrow at her, then folded my arms. I don't believe she doesn't remember anything from last night.
"Dancing with?" I asked her while raising an eyebrow.
"With our friends! Duh! she replied to me, then rolled her eyes even more.
I grinned because this one was sneaking in again. If I didn't know her, I might have believed that she didn't really remember anything about what happened last night.
"Did you ask him if he's here or did you just invite him here?" I asked her.
Stella immediately frowned as if she didn't know what I was saying, so I took a deep breath and stood up.
"Oh, come on, Stella. You can't pass me like that. I know you still remember what happened last night," I said to her.
I saw the way she looked away from me, so I knew right away that she was lying.
"Don't tell me, are you falling for that man's sweet words again?" I asked her suspiciously.
I immediately saw the shock on her face, which is why I shrugged my shoulders to show her that I was right in my suspicions about her.
"What?! No! Of course not! We just bumped into each other last night and he asked me for a drink. I was with Marcus at that time, but they suddenly disappeared!" Stella explained to me one after the other.
I knew it. I know that she's lying.
"I thought you didn't remember anything?" I asked her again.
She just stomped and washed her face using her palms. That's why I laughed a little because of her reaction.
"You still like Andrew, don't you?" I asked her teasingly.
"No way! And I never liked that man. Do you even hear yourself? My gosh, Lily!" she said to defend herself.
"Oh, really, huh? That's why I caught you two kissing-"
"Oh my gosh, Lily! Stop it! It was just an accident!" she said right away, causing me to stop talking.
I couldn't stop laughing, so I just nodded.
"I just went with him last night to help you. Then you're just going to tease me now?" she said, then frowned.
I laughed because she had a point. She may have just come with Andrew to help me with Cristiano.
"Yeah, you have a point. So what's the update? Is he with my husband?" I asked her.
"He said no. He just came here for a congress meeting," Stella answered me.
"And when has he been attending such a meeting? I'm pretty sure he's with Cristiano!" I said, and then it got worse.
"Yeah. I don't believe it either. So what if you two meet here? What will you do?" Stella asked me.
I stopped for a moment and couldn't speak anymore, but I just raised my forehead and shrugged my shoulders.
"Then, I will face him, and I myself will give him the documents for our divorce papers," I said arrogantly.
"Wow! You can do it? You're getting brave now?" Stella asked me teasingly.
I just rolled my eyes at her and didn't speak again because even I doubted myself. I feel that I can face him and talk to him because I am no longer the Lily they knew before. I've changed a lot, and I've become better. I can really say to myself that I am a strong and independent woman, and no one can change that anymore.
I have been through a lot in life. I got to the point where I really disappointed the people who meant so much to me. I also came to the point where I lost hope for myself and for the life my parents gave me. I almost lost myself when I lost my child, because he disappeared from me without me even seeing or touching him.
A few days passed while I was busy with my work. I'm also getting ready to go home to the Philippines. I don't know if my return home will be successful without my family's knowledge. It's been a few years since I left there, so it's not bad if I go back again. Another thing is that I haven't been able to go to Daddy's several birthdays."You can email me if you have any questions. My secretary will inform me about that," I said to the rather old foreign client I was talking to. I received a big project here again because a big building will be built for a new business there. I have been working as an architect for several years, and in the years that have passed since I landed here, I feel that what I do is more appreciated."Thank you so much, Architect Scott. I didn't expect that you would accept this big project. I know you have a lot of on-going projects and have the right not to accept this. I appreciate it!" he said to me one after the other while smiling. I also smiled at hi
Chapter 6Liam and his friends just came down from where I was sitting, and I almost laughed at myself because what right did I have to greet him after I left them without saying goodbye? After all the hiding and not letting them know, I'm sure they hold a lot of resentment towards me. I can't blame myself either, because they are my husband's brothers, and I was afraid that if I let them know where I was, my husband might find me.Lucas and Liam are my best friends. Since we were young, we have always been together because our parents are also friends. Cristiano was the only one I didn't recognize as their brother because he was often absent when there was a special occasion and he was older than the three of us.I looked again at Liam's behavior not far from me, and I saw that he and his friends were still talking. When he looked at me, I immediately avoided him. I have to admit that it hurts to see that my best friend hardly knows me anymore. I want to explain my side to them, but
Mike told me a lot more, but I just didn't listen. In one ear and out the other. I just laughed because I didn't expect him to feel that way about me. Even before we started dating, we made it clear to each other that we couldn't be attached and fall in love. I didn't know that in the three months we were hanging out, he was already falling for me. Well, it's not my fault, and I have no obligation to him to return his feelings for me.After I finished my work, I went home early to rest. I just cooked my dinner there because I wasn't going to the club without eating where Liam was later. I also invited Marcus to join me, and they immediately agreed. I wouldn't even invite them if I knew they wouldn't come with me.While I was cooking my dinner, I cleaned the house first. There is not much clutter there, but I still have to clean because I only clean once a week. Helpers are also not fashionable here, so I learned to do housework because I was alone. There are many things running throug
I was nervous, and a lot of negative thoughts entered my mind, but I just strengthened my heart. I remained standing, not far from Liam, as I watched them make out and laugh. After a while, I took a deep breath to gain courage. When I walked closer to Liam, he immediately looked at where I was standing. Just like before, when he saw me at the restaurant, he stopped laughing. I kept swallowing because I didn't know that I wouldn't do it easily."Liam," I called him in a low voice. It was loud there, but I knew he read my pronunciation of his name through my mouth. He just kept looking at me as if he was waiting for what I would say next, but I couldn't understand myself because I couldn't open it, and almost no words came out of my mouth.I could see the mixed emotions in his eyes as we looked at each other. I see joy, sadness, anger, and sullenness. The only emotion I can give him is begging. I hope he talks to me again.I waited until I finally had the courage to approach him and tal
Chapter 9"Architect! Are you coming with us?" Leah asked me.Leah is one of my team members at the firm. We are very close to each other even though I am their boss, and before I came to the company, they used to go out every Friday because there was no work the next day."Nope. I have a meeting with my client tomorrow morning. I need to rest early," I answered while putting my things away on the table.Oh, come on. You can move your schedule to the afternoon," he insisted.I just laughed and shook my head, especially when I saw my three colleagues peeking from my office door."Come with us, architect!" Jean insisted."Sorry girls, but I can't make it tonight. I will visit a construction site tomorrow," I answered to inform them of my activities tomorrow."You're always working, Architect. How can you get married if you're always like that? Sometimes you have to go out too!" Leah said one after another just so I could be with them."Leah is right, Architect. You don't need to work an
I drink there quietly, and if Trisha's friends talk to me, I talk to them too. They are not awkward to be with because they have a strong sense of humor, and I also laugh at their jokes."Architect," Trisha whispered to me.I didn't realize that she was now next to me, and she left her boyfriend, John, in the other seat."Why?" I asked her.She didn't speak immediately and looked at our friends, who were laughing. I couldn't keep up because my attention was focused on Trisha when she approached me."I'm sorry if I took John and his friends with us on our girls night out. They came here by chance," Trisha explained to me.I grinned and shook my head, because I had no problem with that. Also, what's the point of our girls' nights out if we can't socialize with others?"Oh, come on, Trisha! It's fine. They're funny to be with. Don't worry about me," I said, then shrugged."Are you sure it's okay with you? Maybe you're not comfortable with them," she said.I could clearly see the shame on
As the night wore on, we drank more and more. I admit that I'm a little tipsy, but I can still handle it. Maybe if we were the only girls there, they might have wanted to go home earlier, but because there were guys with us, we stayed there for a long time. The alcohol has hit me hard, and the shame has disappeared from my personality tonight. Cris and I talk like we've known each other for a long time. When he jokes with me, I just ride him too. He wasn't like this when we first met, but as time went on, he became more and more talkative."Let's go dance there!" Wendy asked. Our other partners on the dance floor, like Trisha, are already there. We were the only ones left at the table because of what we were talking about. When she got fed up with drinking, Wendy only agreed to follow her."Do you know how to dance?" I asked Cris."Not really," he answered, then shrugged his shoulders.Wendy left first, so I smiled and stood up to pull her."Let's go dance," I scolded him.He didn't w
After he finished kissing my thighs, he stood up to lay me down on the soft bed. I opened my eyes and looked at what he would do next. I saw his eyes widen, and he quickly took off his clothes. I immediately saw some packs of his abs there, and I saw even more of the size and shape of his body. He's really hot! Now that he's topless, I'm getting even hotter! He came down to kiss me, so I closed my eyes again and savored his kisses. I feel like I'm going to be crazy. He put his tongue inside my mouth, licked it, and tasted it. He also slightly pulled my hair to change the angle of my face. Before he pressed my lips together, our tongues touched. I feel senseless and crazy. He alternates his kisses with mine.My hands were on his shoulders, and I slowly wrapped them around his neck while pulling him closer to me. I want more. I want him to be closer to me. I want him so bad, and I know that's so illegal! When he felt me pulling him closer to me, I also felt that his kisses were graduall
