Chapter 4

I was in a daze the next day because, honestly, I still couldn't believe what happened last night, especially when I saw Andrew. What if my cruel husband is here too? Am I really ready to meet him again?

"Sister Lily, coffee?" Mitzy offered me coffee.

I was on their veranda this morning, and I chose to meditate there because I woke up early even though my head still hurt.

"Thanks, Mitzy! Where's Stella?" I asked her.

She handed me the iced coffee she brewed before answering me.

"She's still sleeping. It's obvious that she drank too much last night," she answered me after laughing a little.

I also laughed and nodded because that girl had drunk a lot. I was planning to leave here a while ago when I woke up, but I knew it would be a long time before Stella and I met again because we would both be busy with our daily activities. I also need to talk to her because I don't know how she ended up with Andrew last night.

I just stayed on the veranda and meditated there with Mitzy until she said goodbye for a while to cook breakfast for the three of us. I really wanted to help, but Mitzy didn't want to because she said I was a guest there, even though I used to take care of Stella's house before. I just let her do what she wants because my head still hurts.

I don't know how many times I yawned there while I was stunned, and sometimes I scrolled through my social media. There are so many notifications there, and I have pictures tagged with me at night. I even had a celebrity with me, and the whole town almost shipped us again. The others were bashing me, so I was almost in agony and just laughed.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Stella asked from behind me.

I raised my eyebrows and immediately put down my phone before turning to her.

"And why are you even asking? Am I not allowed here?" I asked her straight away.

Stella's eyes were swollen when I looked at her, maybe because she was drunk last night. She laughed and immediately rubbed her eyes before shaking her head and speaking.

"Of course not! Did you sleep here?" she asked again.

"What happened last night? I don't remember anything except dancing last night on the dance floor." She asked more.

I raised an eyebrow at her, then folded my arms. I don't believe she doesn't remember anything from last night.

"Dancing with?" I asked her while raising an eyebrow.

"With our friends! Duh! she replied to me, then rolled her eyes even more.

I grinned because this one was sneaking in again. If I didn't know her, I might have believed that she didn't really remember anything about what happened last night.

"Did you ask him if he's here or did you just invite him here?" I asked her.

Stella immediately frowned as if she didn't know what I was saying, so I took a deep breath and stood up.

"Oh, come on, Stella. You can't pass me like that. I know you still remember what happened last night," I said to her.

I saw the way she looked away from me, so I knew right away that she was lying.

"Don't tell me, are you falling for that man's sweet words again?" I asked her suspiciously.

I immediately saw the shock on her face, which is why I shrugged my shoulders to show her that I was right in my suspicions about her.

"What?! No! Of course not! We just bumped into each other last night and he asked me for a drink. I was with Marcus at that time, but they suddenly disappeared!" Stella explained to me one after the other.

I knew it. I know that she's lying.

"I thought you didn't remember anything?" I asked her again.

She just stomped and washed her face using her palms. That's why I laughed a little because of her reaction.

"You still like Andrew, don't you?" I asked her teasingly.

"No way! And I never liked that man. Do you even hear yourself? My gosh, Lily!" she said to defend herself.

"Oh, really, huh? That's why I caught you two kissing-"

"Oh my gosh, Lily! Stop it! It was just an accident!" she said right away, causing me to stop talking.

I couldn't stop laughing, so I just nodded.

"I just went with him last night to help you. Then you're just going to tease me now?" she said, then frowned.

I laughed because she had a point. She may have just come with Andrew to help me with Cristiano.

"Yeah, you have a point. So what's the update? Is he with my husband?" I asked her.

"He said no. He just came here for a congress meeting," Stella answered me.

"And when has he been attending such a meeting? I'm pretty sure he's with Cristiano!" I said, and then it got worse.

"Yeah. I don't believe it either. So what if you two meet here? What will you do?" Stella asked me.

I stopped for a moment and couldn't speak anymore, but I just raised my forehead and shrugged my shoulders.

"Then, I will face him, and I myself will give him the documents for our divorce papers," I said arrogantly.

"Wow! You can do it? You're getting brave now?" Stella asked me teasingly.

I just rolled my eyes at her and didn't speak again because even I doubted myself. I feel that I can face him and talk to him because I am no longer the Lily they knew before. I've changed a lot, and I've become better. I can really say to myself that I am a strong and independent woman, and no one can change that anymore.

I have been through a lot in life. I got to the point where I really disappointed the people who meant so much to me. I also came to the point where I lost hope for myself and for the life my parents gave me. I almost lost myself when I lost my child, because he disappeared from me without me even seeing or touching him.
