Episode 1

Andrea was worried as she treads the hotel hallway down to the different wedding halls the attendants were showing them. She had come with her Fiance to check out a wedding venue for their upcoming wedding but moving down the cold tiled floors with her heels clicking behind her as they pass by different available halls, her heart tightens, part of her kept telling her she wasn’t ready for such lifelong commitment but she felt her Fiance had been waiting too long to back off on him now.

Adjusting the knee-length fitted blue dress she had on, she replaced her concerned expression with a warm one complemented by a smile to avoid looking like a sad bride whose marriage life was doomed before it started.

She glanced at her Fiance Danny, he was a fine man, with blonde hair, russet brown eyes, average weight and height for a guy, outgoing and kind, what else could she ask for in a man she thought watching Danny actively engaging the hotel attendant in a conversation regarding their venue. Danny looked like he could no longer wait to get married to her, he was hasty but not clumsy and see through the process carefully and cautiously.

“Andy?” Danny called in his normal casual and calm tone as he glanced up to meet Andrea’s eyes which he’d noticed had been on him for a while.

“Yes,” Andrea flinched, surprised by the sudden call of her name.

“Is something wrong? You’ve been looking at me, oh…let me guess, you can’t believe you’re going to get married to this gorgeous man right?” Danny joked and Andrea laughed, but he was partly right. Danny was a gorgeous man, funny too, he didn’t have a sturdy or built frame like most men but he was perfect, pretty face like that of a woman, long lashes and thin fine lips…he was gorgeous indeed but why does she seem to hesitate, she couldn’t say.

“Yes, I almost can’t believe it” She replied warmly and Danny reached for her and planted a warm wet kiss on her forehead.

“I know, I can’t believe it too…that this amazing woman will become my wife” He added cupping her chin and staring into her glistening amber eyes, the two attendants following them chuckled and talked amongst themselves as they stayed gaze locked with each other, while Andrea wasn’t captivated by their talk since she was used to it, she seemed rather captivated by the hesitation she noticed in Danny’s eyes, she could feel it…he didn’t want this wholeheartedly either, she could tell they were both not ready but why was he pushing through with this? It was a question she wished she had an answer to.

“Wow, they are so dreamy and in love,” The first attendant said in a low mutter but audible enough for her to make out.

“I want someone who would look at me like that” The second one commented and Andrea gulped, she was used to it. She’d been dating Danny for 4 years, he worked in her grandfather’s company, as financial team manager of Body Spice fashion company, while she was a designer herself, she’d heard the people of the company talk of their romance which they over exaggerate about, to them it was bliss and fairytale but to Andrea, it was just like any other relationship, they were more like friends than lovers, Andrea only felt she was his lover when his lips linger on hers or when his hands wander on her body, but what’s more than finding a friend in your lover, she thought.

They were distracted by the sudden blaring of Danny’s phone which he quickly reached for, his face contoured into a frown smearing his perfect features.

“Give me a minute Andy, I’ll be right here, you can follow the attendant to check the next hall out” He excused himself before Andrea could open her mouth to protest, it’s nothing she shrugged, following the attendants to the next hall for her wedding.

Her father was not the wealthiest in town but he was influential and rich enough to afford a 500 thousand-dollar venue for her only granddaughter, Christopher Morgan was a millionaire and soon-to-be billionaire since his company was going great. Andrea knew how much effort her grandfather put into making the company what it is.

It was sad that neither her father nor mother could succeed him since she lost them in a car accident and she...she had no intention of taking over the company and that’s why her father wanted her to marry early at least her husband will see to the smooth running of the business.

“Ma’am, what do you think?” One of the attendants draw her out of her reverie after they arrived at another hall, as always it was astounding and elegant, roof high with crystal chandeliers, the lightening of the room was perfect as well as the architectural design, the space was vacant, and vast. Andrea was sure, any bride would love to walk down the aisle in this hall overflowing with elegance.

“Ma’am you won’t get any like it anywhere, most celebrities and models choose this place to host their weddings” Another attendant coaxed. Andrea couldn’t deny it though, the place was indeed beautiful, her eyes moved quickly over the hall design but her moment of admiration was broken by the ringtone of her phone. She reached into the small purse she had brought with her and took the call, it was her Fiance’s Best friend Brian.

“Why is Brian suddenly calling me?” She wondered excusing herself from the attendants while she picked the call. “Hello, Brian-

“Is Danny there with you, right now?” The loud bass voice of Danny’s friend in her father’s marketing department almost made her pull her phone away from her ear.

“Not really, he's out-

“Can I speak with him” Andrea was irked by his rude and self-imposing attitude, but she’d always tolerated it, after all, he was her fiance’s best friend.

“He’s not here but give me a minute to give it to him” Andrea replied, before turning to the attendants who were now distracted by the conversation they were having amongst themselves. “I’m sorry but do you mind giving me a minute” Andrea gave them a warm smile, she didn’t want them to be offended by both their absence but it seems rather urgent so she eventually left to find Danny. Surprisingly he was at a corner not far from the hotel hall she was checking out but before she called his name to tell him about his best friend’s call, she heard something that made her stop dead in her tracks.

“Please, I told you to give me more time, once my father-in-law hands the company over to me I’ll pay you back, it's just 50 million anyway, just…give me more time, please. My wedding is in a couple of weeks, so, within three weeks I’ll pay you back” He assured whoever it was speaking with him on the phone and Andrea felt her breath hitched. She couldn’t bring herself to believe what she’d just heard. “Oh yes thank you,” Danny concluded his call only to turn and see Andrea standing behind him.

“You wanna tell me what that was all about?” Andrea forced a grin, trying not to look like she was out for his blood but her terrific smile only serves as a scare for the poor Danny who knew immediately he might not make it home in one piece.

“How…how long have you been standing there?” He couldn’t help but inquire and Andrea scoffed.

“Does that matter-

“It’s not what it sounds like, it’s just-” Danny didn’t expect he would ever be caught in that type of situation, he had always been very careful around Andrea and always made sure not to cross her, she might look ordinary but she was a beauty with brain, Andrea was a serious and calculating person, she hates to be used, Danny has been with her long enough to know the type of person she was so, when Andrea suddenly started laughing, he wasn’t shocked.

“That business, the one I told you not to invest in…you did, didn’t you?” Andrea was smart and witty so when she guessed what had happened Danny knew at once he was screwed. His silence meant yes, which means Andrea was right. “And lemme guess, you brought a lot of people down with you in that sham business and now, they are pressuring you back for their money…well let me tell you, Danny Walter, if you think…you’ll get a penny from my grandpa you’re sadly mistaken and just so you know I won’t be having the wedding” Andrea fiercely insisted because it wasn't Danny's first time and she was sick it. Danny was too stunned to speak, he knew Andrea wouldn’t take the news too well but he didn’t think she would go as far as cancelling their wedding which was in a couple of weeks. Danny reached for her arm before she turned to leave.

“What do you mean the wedding is off? Why are you making that kind of joke?” Andrea gulped seeing his expression turn dangerous, in a split second Andrea saw Danny become someone unfamiliar, someone, she could swear she hadn’t seen before.

“Danny, you’re hurting me” She rasped, her voice shaky as she pointed out staring down at Danny’s fingers fastened strongly around her thin wrist.

“Sorry…but the wedding will still go on right?” Andrea felt her heart race, Danny looked so scary at that moment. “Right?” Danny pressured for affirmation staring into her eyes while Andrea felt she would pulverize if by chance she gave him a wrong answer.

“Let go of me Danny” She gritted harshly masking her fear with her fierce expression and nonchalant tone as she tried to twist her wrist out of his firm grip, the compressed skin tuning pale pink while her gaze lingers on it, she felt a boiling rage inside her she couldn’t suppress.

“I said the wedding will go--ouch!” Danny let out painfully after Andrea draw him in and kneed him in the crotch before running off on him without glancing back.

“Asshole!” Andrea spat at him right before she took off.
