“PAKKK” a loud sound of slap will hear in the echoing silence in our house . I gave a couple of slaps for my long time boyfriend/fiance Michael as I suprised my family from my return to the country after more than 2 years of serving in Dubai as a Showroom Supervisor for the largest supplier of baking items and ingredients for bake shops across the Middle East.

"FVCK Michael!” I pounded my fists on his chest in anger, throwing my suitcase at him “Why Charlotte? of all the women you could have gotten pregnant, why my sister?" I sobbed scolding Michael “You too are shameless" I screamed in anger, and I could feel the relentless tears streaming down my cheeks; in the intensity of my rage, I mercilessly hit Michael with the paper bag of gifts I had intended for him.

"Bullsh*t ! 5 years Michael, you waisted 5 years of our relationship" I yelled at him with a blade eye look.

Now I understand, that's the reason why everyone around me was silent and no one spoke when I suddenly appeared in our house. Instead of showing their happines towards me of coming home, what I've seen on their face is that all of the were shocked on my appearance.

My eyes sharpened when I looked at where my sister was standing."And You, Charlotte (every word I uttered for her was full of emotion) Why did you flirt with Michael?! you don’t feel ashamed on what you did?, (my shoulder fell down and blame her with sad emotions) there are so many men in the world, My God Charlotte. (I sobbed contineously) after all the sacrifices I make just to give you a good life?! You didn't think about what would I feel. “ My heart was burning in that moments. I stared intently at my sister for her to explain to me , she just bowed her head and didn't say a word. She couldn't even look at me in my eyes. My tears kept falling no matter how I tried to hold back. I am waiting for someone to speak from my family whatever explanation , I will try to understand.

"IM SORRY KATE! ( my sister said. she sobbed on Michael's shoulder) I didn't mean what happened" was the only response she gave to me. She is still bent over and continues to cry.

"You didn't mean it?! My God Charlotte, did your undies fall on purpose and suddenly Michael's d*ck went inside you and fuck*d you over and over again?!" I asked her impatiently. My anger burst from her stup*d alibi.

"Stop it Kate!, Shut your mouth, you are so rude. Is that what you learned when you went abroad?. There is nothing we can do. It happened already, Michael must be responsible for the pregnancy of your sister!" Mom told me. She yelled at me angrily as if it was my fault why this happened to my sister.

"Mom, you already know?! When did you find out about this?" I turned to look at my Mom.

Although stuttering, my brother also spoke, "Kate, I wanted to tell you as soon as I discover about it, but Dad is stopping me, I don't know but they are all afraid that if you find out what happened to Charlotte and this bast*rd you will stop sending us the remittnace.Specially that Charlotte is graduating this coming August" George said it infront of everybody. Maybe he fell pity on me. "That asshol*" George shouted angrily. He fiercely came to Michael's direction so he can give him a punch when our Dad suddenly pull away.

"And also YOU George, cut that drama. you better shut your mouth, you want me to blow it up?" Dad continued to threaten George.

"D*mn it!" ( I was scratching my head unable to process why my parents allowed Charlotte anf Michael to continue with their foolishness!) I couldn't comprehend it, considering Michael and Charlotee have been together for five months. (unbelievable. WHat kind of family do I have?) and you all just let it like this like it was nothing? Mom, Dad. What?! You didn’t even think of telling me about this because you were scared I would stop supporting you? (My heart is aching, I feel like everyone has ganged up on me.) You could have at least thought that I would eventually find out about all of this sh*t and how this would affect me. If you had told me earlier, I could have prepared myself for this confrontation,” I said angrily to them.

“Stop it, Kate! Your words are too sharp. Why don’t you ask your brilliant fiancé why he messed around with both of you and your sisters?” (Dad pointed furiously at Michael) “So stop blaming your sister. Just because you support us does not mean you can talk to us that way! You’re so arrogant!” Dad angrily said to me, as George tried to hold him back when he tried to hit me.

“Dad, I just wish you had shown some concern for me. Huhuhu! You should have told me what happened, I’m your dayghhter too. And it’s my sister who got pregnant by my fiancé. You should have thought about that. You even let Michael stay here. You should have kicked him out when you found out! That explains why our neighbors kept staring at me when I got out of the taxi.” (I shook my head as tears continued to fall) I said furiously to my parents.

“That’s great, because you warn a good amount of money and you’re so arrogant now, aren’t you? You’re flaunting your money to us! Don’t you think Charlotte is the one most hurt here? Keep your money with you! Do you think we can’t survive without you? Just because you’ve worked abroad, you’re acting all high and mighty?! Don’t worry, we’ll return everything you’ve sent to us, even what you paid for your sister’s and Michael’s education! Since Michael will soon board the ship as a captain, go ahead and calculate every penny you’ve given us. You ungrateful child!” my mother angrily said. “It’s your sister who is pregnant and will suffer, not you. Now, how will Charlotte be able to continue her schooling with her growing belly without even being married?” Mom told me.

I could hardly breathe from crying; I couldn’t understand my parents. I just turned away from them, deaf to all the hurtful words they were throwing at me. With just my shoulder bag and hand-carry luggage, I walked straight out of the house. No matter how much George tried to stop me, I felt numb, unable to feel or hear anything.

Without looking back, I got into a passing taxi.

“Driver, to the airport please!” I sobbed to the driver.
