BORACAY PHILIPPINES
KATE: Thumping Beats Defeaning music greeted me as I made my way to a beachfront bar here in Boracay Philippines. My feet brought me here after learning about my sister Charlotte's pregnancy with my fiance Michael. I freely swayed my hips on the loud beat of the music, accompanying the sexy dance moves. Without shame, I dance at the pole on the middle on the stagel. I ignored the cheers and looks from the crowd, caught up in my own flirty dance that attracted the attention of the men around me. Dressed only in a thin lace covering my white two piece, my body was on full display as the wind swept along the beach while I moved. I had completely lost for everything. I was on vacation to have fun, and I wouldn't let the betrayal of those I trusted ruin it. And worst, knowing that it was my sister who's my fiance cheated with. "FVCK this life" I shouted on myself. I tossed my head back, joining the cheers of those many guys celebrating with me. Who cares what I am doing. I want to forget everything. "Wooohh Yeahhh!" I yelled, laughing heartily with the group around me. Some joined me on the dance floor, and I happily entertained them, letting them grind against me while I held onto my waist. All I wanted was to drown my sorrows in alcohol to forget what my fiance had done and how my family had turned a blind eye to the wrong my sister had inflicted upon me. After getting tired from dancing, I made my way to the bar counter, bidding goodbye to the groups I had danced with. A few invited me to a privaite area. while others asked me to join their table, but I just laught it off and walked away. I was there to have a good time, not to sleep with anyone. I swayed and chuckled to myself as I approaced the bar area to take a breath and grab another drink. "Ma'am this is for you!" the bartender handed me a margarita drink. "No thank you, I didn't order anything yet!. Haha. I just got here !" I replied and laugh. "Sorry Mam, but he said to give it to you" (he pointed to a man at the table across from us, along with a few other men. He waved at me, but I ignored him. I just rolled my eyes and returned to talking to the bartender). "Hey Bro, I don't even know that guy. Please just take it back to him." I added "Ma'am , it's already paid by him. i might get in trouble if you will not take it" he answered back to me "I said No, thank you! I can buy my own drink. If you want, you can drink it or give it to someone else for free." I insisted, moving away from the area where those men were. While walking I shouted at the bartender politely. "Hey Sir, just bring me a bottle of tequila, Thanks! " pointing to the spot where the sand couch was, wanting to be alone. The sorroundings were dim, with only small lamp on the table infront of me providing light for my entire table. I was sitting anf staring at the beach when suddenly someone handed e a bottle of tequila from behind. "Thank You!" I said, thinking it was the bartender I had asked for my order. "No problem, Miss. You've been refusing the drinks I've been offering you." he said. I was startled when he spoke in my ear. It felt like electricity coursed through my body from the deep voice of the man who spoke from behind me. I jumped slightly at his sudden appearance. "Holy Sh*t!" I exclaimed. "WHy are you here ? Again?! Sorry, but i just want to be alone right now. I'm not interested in what you're offering." I said sharply "Miss, I just wanted to introduce myself. I promise I won't do anything to you," he replied with a gentle look. He probably thought he could cought me by his cuteness. He even narrowed his eye at me, but it didn't work. "Take someone else, not me." I stood up from my seat and moved to another spot, grabbing the tequila he brought since I had been drinking for a while. As I waled, I took a swig og my drink. I heard his friends teasing him as he returned to their table. "WOooh , Mr. Santiago's charm didn't work, hahaha" they laughed at him loudly "Bro, it's the first time Someone turned you down" one of them teased him too "Your moves are no longer effective, Bro. You should change your style, you've had plenty of women because of that kind of game, hahaha" his friends burst into laughter at him. He scartched his head while looking at me. "You idiots! Let's just drink," he said as they went back to enjoy thereselves. Each of the had their own girl companion at their seats, but I notice that the man who approaced me had no one maybe that's why he choose my to be his toy for that night. About at hour later, I saw the man's friends getting up, along with the women beside them. He stayed behind while the others continued drinking alone. His group was getting very drunk. I just shook my head, knowing where this would lead. I leaned back in my seat and returned to my thoughts. I recalled what had happened to me that morning. My bitterness toward my family struck again, so I took another swig from the tequila bottle I was holding. I was startled again when the man spoke from behine me. "You're doing to get drunk by yourself Miss?" he said “It's you again? Don't you ever leave me alone? Your friends have already left!" I replied irritably. He smiled at me and teased me, which made me more annoyed. "Why ae you laughing?" I irritably asked him. "It seems you're interested in me too. You see my friends leaving huh!" he said , winking. I blushed at his words. Sometimes I really don't think things though, which get me in trouble. He was right; I had been sneaking glances at their group for a while, so I realized he had been left behined by his companions.KATE'S POVAFTER THE PRESS CONFERENCEI didn’t realize how intense press conferences could be. I was so nervous, even though I already knew what to answer. The pressure to respond to each question from the press was overwhelming. I didn’t want to say anything wrong or hurt the feelings of the people I love. Even after the cameras stopped rolling, some press members continued asking questions—this time about my love story with James. Honestly, our love story didn’t have the best beginning, so I didn’t know what to say. Thankfully, James stepped in and politely asked everyone to stop the questions. The press respected his request.Once the interview aired, we started receiving numerous calls and messages claiming they had seen Mama. However, many of these were baseless attempts to claim the 10 million peso reward. Atty. Ruiz advised us not to entertain any information unless it had substantial proof. To unwind, Mommy and I decided to go out. Besides, James and I needed to shop for some
KATE'S POV Since James and I first met, this is only the second time I’ve been to his house. The first was when he introduced me to his parents. This time, however, I brought George along. Just like the first time, James’ mom, Mommy Samantha, was incredibly kind and welcoming—not just to me but to George as well. They even prepared a room specifically for him while we stayed in their mansion.“Don’t hesitate to move around the house as if it’s your own. Kate, you know who to ask for help if you need anything. Make sure to tell your brother that too, and feel free to approach Manang if anything is needed. Treat this house as your own,” Mommy said warmly, her smile filled with joy.“Thank you so much, Mommy! You should get some rest too,” I replied, hugging her before excusing myself to head to our room. Even though I’d been sleeping in the hospital for the past few days, I still felt an inexplicable weariness.I had been keeping in touch with Nikka, asking if they’d seen any signs of

He didn’t immediately answer my question.“Mmm, I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what’s happening. How do you know my mother? And how do you know my exact birthday?” she asked, glancing at James before whispering, “Love, did you tell her anything about me?” She even turned her back to me and slightly moved away in her seat. I saw James shake his head, denying her assumption.“Wait, I think I scared you, dear. We just wanted to explain something to you… to both of you!” I said, turning to face everyone. “Samantha, haven’t I told you that we’ve been searching for our missing daughter, who was taken from us when we were in Saudi Arabia?” I began.“Yes, you’ve mentioned it before. But I still don’t understand, Adreana—it’s all a bit confusing,” Samantha replied.“Kate’s mother and the person who abducted my daughter are the same!” I declared, stunning everyone. The room fell silent for several moments. “Haven’t you ever noticed how differently your ‘mother’ treats you, Kate? That’s becau
GEORGE POV It’s heartwarming to see how much James' family loves Kate. Honestly, I think they love her more than Mama does. I overhear James talking to the people who donated blood for , and it’s clear their family isn’t ordinary. I knew he was wealthy, but I didn’t realize just how rich they are. It might sound exaggerated, but the level of wealth they have, including that of the couple he had an accident with, is mind-blowing. I feel out of place when they discuss their investments and the enormous sums involved. Coming from a simple family, I can’t help but feel shy and out of my element. But James doesn’t let me feel excluded; he ensures I’m comfortable.“Are you okay, George? Do you want something? Just order if you feel like it. We’ll head back to your sister’s room soon. She’s probably been moved to her private room by now,”James said to me.“I’m good,James. This is already too much. I’ll just bring some of this to Kate later since it’s her favorite,” I replied. James smiled
"George, who in your family has an AB+ blood type?!" I asked him urgently."James, as far as I know, my blood type is O, my mom’s and Charlotte’s are also O, and Dad is B," George replied.“Doctor, is it possible that Kate isn’t biologically related to her family?” I asked, puzzled. The doctor motioned for me to step aside and spoke to me in private, not wanting George to hear. Mommy and Daddy stayed behind, watching us anxiously. Mommy kept crying, and Daddy tried his best to comfort her.“James,” the doctor began, “it’s highly unlikely for someone to have no blood type match within their immediate family—unless, of course, they’re not a biological child. Could Kate have been adopted? We need to confirm this immediately because we’re running out of time to find a blood donor. We already checked the Red Cross blood bank, but there’s no available AB+ blood.”I didn’t respond right away because, honestly, I didn’t know anything about my wife’s family history. It wasn’t something we ever
