All my life I've lived in New York. A very simple life I have. Parents are lawyer and I will be a Senior in high school tomorrow.

I want to experience what love is, I need some excitement in my life. It doesnt help that I'm what people call, a nerd. I'm invisible and guys dont look my way. I talked to my crush once, and he blew me off and humiliate me in front of the whole school.

Maybe I'll find love in the future. I guess for now, I will focus on my studies.

"So, are you excited for tomorrow?" Mom asked while sitting next to me on the couch.

"Big time." I sighed.

"It will get better, Senior year might bring surprises." She gave me a side hug.

"Thanks, I hope so."

"Oh sissy, it's time to play tea party." My little sister, Ariel told me. Shes four years old.

"You got it." I replied while grabbing her little hand and went to the playroom.

I run a pretty exciting life.

The next day I got ready and I got very nervous. First day of school always makes me nervous.

Once I was done, I had. Breakfast and then made my way to school. After a 20 minute drive, I made my way to my locker. I had already separated it.

"Look who it is, miss invisible." Tori snickered.

Victoria Garcia. Aka Tori, she was my friend. She ditch me last year when she made the cheer squad.

"Leave me alone." I told her while putting my stuff in my locker.

"Nah, it's fun picking on you. And get ready cause this year will be hell for you." She smirked.

"Why are you like this with me? What did I ever do to you?"

"Its just fun, that's all." She said as her squad laugh. "One more thing."

And with that said, she pushed me against my locker making me hit my head really hard.

"Man, I really hate bitches like you." A girl said. She had a British accent.

"And what do they call you." Tori asked.

The girl just smiled and said, "The new queen bee and say goodbye to your title of captain. That spot will be mine."

"In your dreams, hoe." Tori told her.

The girl just laughed and gave Tori an evil look. One that cause her and the others to leave.

"Are you okay?"she asked while extending her hand and helped me get up.

"Yeah, thank you." I smiled.

"No problem. I'm Mallory."

"I'm, Seraphina. Or Sera for short." We shook hands. "You're new right?"

"Yeah, new in town. Parents got a new job and we moved here. Senior year should be fun."

"Well, this school is not that bad, except for Tori and her crew." I sighed.

"I'm not worried about those bloody girls. Is them who should be worried." She giggled.

This girl is a little too much, but at least she's nice.

We went to our first class and after a few hours, it was lunch time.

"So are you an only child or have siblings?" I asked her.

"I have a twin brother. He will come tomorrow. He's just out of town running some errands for mom. And what about you?" She asked before drinking her juice.

"Just a little sister. She's four years old and the sweetest." I answered her.

We talked about different things. It was great to finally have someone to talk to, normally it's just me sitting alone while looking at my phone.

After school, I went home and crashed on the couch.

"Hey, Sera. How was school?" Dad asked.

"Great." I smiled.

"That's good to hear. I need you to do a favor for your mom. Ariel has a cold and I need you to go to the store to buy her medicines. I would go but I gotta go work, if I don't they will fire me, and you know how important this salary is for the family. Your mom took the day off."

"No problem dad, I'll go get them." I gave him a hug and then left.

I finally arrived at the store and got the medicines. I paid for them and then made my way out. I put the stuff in the car and then I got a text from mom saying to buy extra just in case. I swear mom is too much. It's just a cold nothing more.

I was about to go back to the store when a noise in the alley distracted me. I walked over there and it was empty, or so I thought it was.

"Hey little girl, ever heard the expression, curiosity killed the cat?"

I turned around and saw a man, a very creepy one. He was covered in blood. No words were coming out of my mouth.

"I could go for some dessert." And with that said, his eyes went red and fangs came out.

This cant be happening, I'm dreaming this isn't real, vampires don't exist. It must be part of a prank.

Except it wasn't cause I felt his fangs on my neck. I let out a scream. Worst than a mosquito bite and those bitches hurt.

"Didn't anyone tell you that biting innocent girls can get you killed?"

The next thing I know, this guy throws the one that bit me, against a wall with one punch. How does someone have that much strength. Then again, I just witness a vampire and freaking bit me

"Now, next time think twice. Goodnight." He said and then he grabbed the guy's head and ripped it off.

I was trying to get some air but wasn't working. I was dizzy from him drinking my blood and what I just freaking witness today.

"Don't hurt me." Tears started to fall.

The guy that killed the other one walked closer to me till I was against the wall. He put his hand on my neck and I didn't feel pain nor was I dizzy anymore. I touched my neck and there wasn't any blood. Did he just cured me? Wait is that even possible?

He leaned in and said, "Forget everything you just witnessed, get out of this alley and do whatever you were going to do before coming here."
