Chapter 6

POV Stella

That was a weird dream.

It felt so real though.

But a dream, right?

Stella opened her eyes she was laying on the couch, with a sigh of relief she closed her eyes again confirming it was a weird dream and that she was just dreaming when she heard it. This loud thumping, it sounded like heartbeat but louder, what was that and why was it so loud! Was it hers? She reached up and felt her pulse on her neck and the rhythm didn’t fit her heart beat, Stella closed her eyes tighter and covering her ears with her hands muttering about how loud that noise was when she heard him speak.

“What’s too loud?” Stella sat bolt upright giving her a head spin when she turned to see the James guy sitting in Jack’s chair.

Fuck it wasn’t a dream! Shit!

James’ face winced like someone had screamed at him. Stella was confused for a moment until she remembered him saying she was yelling her thoughts she then attempted to whisper in her mind.

Oh shit my bad is that better?

James smiled and nodded his head. Stella smiled back but caught herself, remembering how ridiculous and outlandish this all was. James chuckled saying “It’s okay, I’ll teach you to control it so you don’t project every single thought. You can choose when you want someone to hear your mind link.” Stella looked at him with a confused look as he seemed so matter of fact about what he was saying when it sounded ridiculous. Suddenly she heard his voice in her head “I know this is confusing and a lot but I’m here to help you through it all, but we don’t have much time”

“Much time? What do you mean!” Stella yelled, not realising how loud she was she then quickly apologised for yelling. James just smiled and said “The full moon is in two days and you will transform for the first time, it’s not fun the first time..” James kept talking about the first transformation but Stella couldn’t hear as her mind had switched off from the overwhelming feeling she was drowning and didn’t know which way was up.

Stella looked a James again as he was talking, she wasn’t listening. She was looking at his face, how he had a strong jawline that was so like Jack’s but not. Stella looked and really looked this time at his face and realised that he didn’t look as much like Jack has she had first thought, all of his features where similar but different enough to think they might have been brothers or at least cousins maybe. James clicked his fingers in front of Stella’s face bringing her back to the room, she did realise she was staring at him. James asked “Did you hear anything I just said then?” Stella shook her head while her cheeks flushed slightly.

Why does he look almost like to Jack, are they related?

James answered Stella’s question out loud, “No we were not related. I’ve got no idea why we look similar. Well I don’t see it, I’m 6’4 and I’m much much older than him but I guess you could say there are some similarities, it might be fate”. he almost whispered the last part as he was holding a picture of Jack and Stella from their wedding day.
