One Night Stand With My Ex Uncle

The sound of my phone ringing somewhere around the house made me hurry out of the shower naked as I hoped it was the phone call I had been expecting. With water dripping down everywhere, a problem I hope to concern myself with later, I arrived at the dining room where I kept my phone while warming some left overs earlier. 

My lips spread into a smile as Kane's name flashed across the screen. Kane, I sigh his name dreamily in my head. We’ve been going out for over a year now and everyone including our families are expecting us to start talking about our mating ceremony any time soon. 

People in our lives always say we are that couple that’s made for each other and there’s no denying the fact that we are soul mates. Perhaps he will even propose to me tonight, I thought breathless, forcing myself back to the presence when the phone rang again. 

“Hi Kane, I wasn’t expecting your call.” Which is a big fat lie! It’s been a crazy week for me and we haven’t seen each other at all this week due to how busy I was with work. 

“Oh yeah?” He teased with a hint of laughter in his voice. “Aria told me you finally got off work today, wanna do something special tonight?” 

Bless her soul. “What time?” I glanced excitedly at the clock, almost disappointed in the fact that it was four in the evening meaning it will be another few hours before I see him again. 

“Seven thirty should be fine, hope you don’t mind driving yourself? I’ll be coming directly from work.” He asked after a pause. 

He definitely wants to propose tonight! I did a little skip around the room, before realizing he was still on the other end expecting a response. 

“Sure, I will see you in a bit.” The line went dead after that. 

After doing another happy dance around, I decided to call Aria to tell her about my suspicions about tonight. Her phone rang a couple of times with no response so I dropped her a message, telling her to call me as soon as she sees the message. 

It wasn’t until a few hours later when I was getting ready for my date did Aria call later. I stopped applying my make up and picked up the phone right away. 

“Hey, where have you been? Have been dying to talk to you for the past one hour.” I playfully scolded her as I put the phone on speaker so I could talk and get ready at the same time. 

“Sorry bestie, I got tied up helping my uncle with some stuff, you’re still coming with Kane this weekend right?” 

Even before I met Kane, she has been inviting me over to her rich uncle’s manor for quite some time now. Who from Aria’s description is a wealthy Alpha with no family of his own so he’s always happy to have guests around. 

“I think it’s fated to happen this way, imagine your brother proposing to me tonight and I meet one of your family this weekend?” I sigh, putting on my heels next. 

“Wow! You think my brother is proposing tonight! OMG! Tell me everything! In fact I’ll be driving over later tonight to take a look at the ring.” The excitement in my best friend’s voice made me smile wilder, I couldn’t ask for a better friend. 

“Alright, I have to go, I will see you later tonight.” We said our goodbyes and hung out. 

Kane sent the address of the restaurant we will be having dinner, as I was stepping out of the door. I stared at my junk of a car for several minutes deciding if I should just order a ride. Tonight was special and I deserve some Cinderella’s treatment even though I might regret dipping into my savings tomorrow. 

Stopping myself from overthinking further, I ordered an Uber and in no time, a fancier car pulled up in front of my apartment. Unlike my car, the drive to the restaurant was smooth, I hummed under my breath along with the music of the car. 

“Someone seems happy, what’s the occasion?” My nosy driver asked, glancing at me from the rear view mirror. 

It was on the tip of my tongue to tell him to mind his business but I decided against it. “I’m getting proposed to tonight.” 

I arrived at the restaurant at exactly seven thirty, the host directed me to a table Kane made a reservation for, a part of me was disappointed that he wasn’t there yet. I checked my phone to see if he sent a text informing me that he might be a little late but there wasn’t any. 

Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into one hour and still there isn't any sign of Kane. It’s unlike him to be late so this made me very worried. I had to leave when the host informed me they had to give my table away. I couldn’t hold on to it any longer so I drove to Kane’s work, fearing the worst. 

The light from his office was still on as I stepped into the building after the security guard let me in, I wasn’t a stranger there. I made my way to the third floor where his office was located, the other floors were empty and that made me more worried. 

The door leading to his office was wide open with clothes scattered all over the place, my worries were now replaced by confusion. Pushing his main office door open, I froze at the scene in front of me. Kane, naked from the waist down with a woman wrapped around him!
