Chapter 5

BLACK THE ORIGIN

Chapter 5: Nerom

The Magic Realm was led by 5 Elite Families under God. In the North-Eastern part of the globe were the Berhalkswaan Family and the Jaiden palace.

One of the cities surrounding it was Leave Capital known for the Swordsmanship style of the East. Nerom is the only King rank in the east.

"Hahh... haaa…" Gasping from the air, Alkhun was barely able to get up. Gripping the wooden sword.

"Is that all you've got?" Nerom smiled mischievously leaning his wooden sword on his shoulder.

"No, I can still fight." Alkhun manages to stand up holding his wooden sword at his two hands full of callus and wounds through practice.

It's been a month since Nerom challenged Alkhun to beat him in battle, but the kid was still a long way to go.

"I told you, you can use your magic on me." Nerom grins as he looks at the kid's overwhelming mana.

"No," He gasps. "It'll be unfair..." Nerom was pissed at the young boy's words.

"Do you think I became a King Rank Swordsman because of luck?"

"Maybe.." Alkhun grin. He uses mana on certain parts of his body to support it. Like hands to tighten the grip and to his feet.

He then rushes at him with using man on his feet he is 10 times faster. He then sways his sword at immovable Nerom. Just looking at him with those sky blue eyes, and able to block it despite the force Alkhun has put to it. He retreats and sways his sword to his face, blocking effortlessly. Alkhun keep swinging with force using mana to create greater power, but every slice was blocked effortlessly.

Alkhun retreat and gasps for air; he generated water in his hand and drank it. "haaa...haaa"

"Hmm, you’re improving." Nerom notices Alkhun's endurance getting stronger.

Alkhun has a tremendous talent in Magic and is blessed by tremendous mana that's pretty normal for elite family descendants. The thing Alkhun lacks was physical power, strength, endurance, and inexperience in combat. Nonetheless, Nerom knows that this kid could probably beat him when it comes to all-out power. He was born a mage.

"Do you think how long does it take for me to beat you?"

Nerom grin.

"Oh! It's almost afternoon; I have other students to teach. I have to go kid!" He walked out of his garden and waved goodbye.

Alkhun let his body fall from the grass beneath him and breathe.

Looking at the sky, he can see clouds slowly moving. He closed his eyes and uses his mana-sensing ability. It is usually common for controller type.

Alkhun was a Controller magic type.

The Magic Specializations are magic that varies on the individual. Skills they own, and only they own.

Alkhun was a Controller mage, which he can control magic more than average. Controllers are also called the Magic geniuses.

As he closes his eyes he can feel mana surrounding him everywhere. The mana of the people at the streets, the mana of the grass he's lying to, the large bulk of mana covering the sky. He opened his eyes and there waving was Sophia.

"Halo!" His eyes shone again.

Alkhun stand up from the grass.

"Hays cold as always, Khun here.." She handed the bag of books.

"What is this?"

"Free books."

"Huh?"

"Uhmm, it has been like a month since you've came to the store so I've been wondering." She was avoiding Alkhun's Gazes. He opened the bag and it is full of fiction books.

"Thanks."

"Don't worry those are my books, collections of interesting myths in the West."

"West..?" He remembered his mother on those 4 letters. He sighs and reaches for his bag to drink water.

"Yeah... I heard you are training here, so I visit."

Alkhun put the books in his bag. "Then, I'll be going."

"Uhmm yes."

Alkhun vanished from the house of the old man and headed home. On the street of the city posters about the Gran Cup coming at the next years were posted. The noisy street as always, it was the same path.

It's only been a month and everything feels so different, he drank water from his water bottle and looked at the sakura falling. Spring reminds him of someone, Pamela.

It's been a month and Pamela has never come back home. He hear the river on his way, it was the river in the forest that has always been there.

He never came to it, but that place was the home of the fairies and no one dare to. He suddenly remembers the face of the old man grinning, asking him when will be able to beat him. He looks at that side of the forest and puts the water bottle back in his bag.

"Maybe I'll be the first." He runs in the direction of the river and uses his mana sensing. "Hahahha," he nervously laughed when he felt the overwhelming mana coming from it.

As he runs through the wood he feels anxious and almost trips, so he decided to climb the branches instead to observe the river. There was nothing at the riverside do he decided to go to the back where he can feel the manna presence coming from. He grins.

"It is like my father's…" His heart rate was beating so fast.

Fairies are the strongest Monsters in the Mortal Realm. Not like other monsters exception to the leaders of the King of a species, the fairies are the only monsters with high intellectual capabilities as immortals. They are at the top of the food chain and even said that could par at the elite families.

And one lies in the forest near the Berhalksawn Palace at the bank of the river. It was a myth, no it was true. Alkhun was certain. He can feel its overwhelming presence. He had always felt it's presence and probably that's why no one ever dares to meet it, The Sakura Fairy of The East.

On the distance in the Berhalksawn Palace, the King was observing at the balcony of his office. “What the hell is he doing?” He whispers to himself as he gripped the sword at the side of his waist.

“Hon…” Keppler doesn’t even realize the presence of her wife until she touched her. Looking at her at the side of his eyes, Persephone is wearing a long rose-colored dress and as stunning as always with her brown hair.

“Seems like you’re so occupied on something?” She wrapped her arms around his waist.

He was silent. He can’t deny that his son, Alkhun was really like his mother, fearless and reckless.
