“So none of you ever liked her?” I asked the boys while we all sat in the lounge of my house. I was sitting on one side and the three of them were side by side on the other.

“You want me to believe that?” I had my arms folded.

“We only did it because she was helping us out. It was mutual help.” Chris said, “We had a deal between ourselves.”

“She’s a pretend girlfriend for us because women don’t stop chasing rich men, especially when they’re single.” Sam said, “Nena is the perfect person for that role since she beats the shit out of people too.”

I raised my brows as I frowned. It made sense, there were a number of times she came home and I could tell right away she had a fight with someone.
