098: Gone Rogue

Odessa knew she'd be free of this monster inside of her soon, as well as the shackles around her wrist and ankle, and she knew she'd see her kid soon. It was only a matter of time, but she had no idea it would be this soon.

Odessa cocked her head, peering at the kid who had just entered the little hut where she had been living for as long as she could remember. She slowly rose from the bed, and the chains made a loud noise on the floor. She noted the boy's familiar green eyes, how they boiled with tears, how his shoulders stiffened and his hands balled in tight fists.

Odessa stood a foot away and didn't realize when the name slipped past her lips. "Raphael,"

Raphael sobbed and wrapped his arms around Odessa, who remained still, trying to determine whether this was real or one of her numerous fantasies.

"Mom," Raphael sobbed on her shoulder.

Odessa recovered from her fright and reached out to embrace her son. Her child! Odessa found herself wanting to scream with joy. Her kid was alive
