Thanks for the gems guys. Much appreciated.
Adam After meeting Zacharia Ashbreed, the egotistical bastard, I was exhausted. We had fought a great battle, and I was yet to address my council. I asked Desiree to go about her business while Kyle and I gathered everyone to speak. They were all occupied, but we needed to meet. Meanwhile, I ordered the release of the witches, and they were to be escorted out of the country. The former Beta was asked to oversee the task, which he was delighted to do. My father's council were not old, most of them were yet to turn fifty. It is just that it was a tradition that you hand over to your successor once your successor is twenty-one. Kyle and I headed towards the conference hall where the remaining council members were. We were four altogether. "I envy what you have with Desiree," Kyle said to me as we walked towards the conference hall. "Where did that come from?" I asked him, surprised, and he bowed his head. I could tell he was hurting, and I did not know my friend was going through so m
Desiree Adam entered our apartment shirtless. They had just brought dinner, so he was on time. I had opted to wait for him, and so did the food taster, Kalvin Wallberg, whom I had begged we no longer needed his service but insisted to continue tasting our food, had already eaten a fair share of the meal in the name of tasting. Tim couldn't stand the guy, and I couldn't blame him. He felt the guy had taken his job, but how could he when Tim had somehow become my assistant, a job that would have been Janets if she was loyal, but when the world was against me, it was Tim that stood by me, and I could never forget it. "Haven't eaten yet?" Adam asked me with a smile. He looked hot and sexy shirtless, and I wanted to have him for dinner instead, but my growling stomach was in disagreement, it wanted food, and food it shall have. Adam rushed through his meal, which indicated he wanted some alone time, so I had to rush through my food too and have them clear out. The moment they were gone,
Desiree Adam called for the meeting the next day. The pack was still trying to integrate the new wolves. To make the meeting possible, Adam delegated overseeing the integration to Margret and Bianca, who no longer went by the name 'mistress', anymore. We headed to the conference hall immediately after breakfast. Everyone was there, including King Kingston, who still maintained the title even though he had no power. Adam obliged him and allowed him to keep it along with the affluence that came with it, I guess that was part of the deal, but looking at him, I believe the whole Monarchy feel was Dean trying to fill a void in his soul. Alfred Green was there, Dean's beta, The Gamma Kaylan was there who I suspect was Donovan's father and Nickson's father, who was the Delta. Beta Kyle was there, Gamma Donavan and Delta Nickson were there too. Adam and I completed the attendance for the meeting. We all sat down, and I noticed Dean smiling at me. Which was a bit off. The man was damn too cr
Adam My father asked that question with so much distrust that I knew his answer would be no. I did not know that my father had this wealth of information. If Desiree had not advised that I call this meeting, we wouldn't have known, and they would have taken this truth to their grave. Cowardice was frowned upon by packs, and my father would have lost all respect among wolves if they had allowed people to know they ran with their tails between their legs. They had an option, to keep their honour and die or lose it and come home to their loved ones. They promised to come home. There was courage in their cowardice, and weak as it seemed, they had chosen to live so they could fight another day, because of that decision, we had information to work with. I looked at my father with respect so he would know I was proud of him, and I would have done the same to come home to Desiree. "They requested for a portion of our land to settle on," I said, and my father shook his head. "Witches cannot
Desiree The meeting was exhausting, and Adam and I chose to spend the rest of the day in our quarters. I read a book while he attended to the documents. Margret and Bianca came to report the outcome of their task to Adam, but he told me to handle it. "Good afternoon Luna," Margret said with the utmost respect, and I waited for Bianca to greet me too. I remembered how the woman had treated me, and how mean she was to me. She told me never to look her in the eyes. I wondered how stupid she felt right now. " You can't greet?" I finally asked her, and she quickly curtsied and greeted me. I could feel her shame, but the deed was done, and she could take none of it back. Adam came out of the bedroom to see them. "Margaret, Bianca," he said, and they greeted him. "I need to check on something," he said and kissed me on the cheek before leaving the apartment. He seemed a bit worried, but I decided not to ask him. "So tell me," I instructed the women and offered them seats. "Alpha said
Adam Kyle, Desiree and I went to receive the envoy from Stadia. It had taken five days for them to send someone, and with what Desiree and I had planned out, I couldn't wait to make my proposal to them. We entered the waiting room and found Malina and two other women with her. One of the women looked like she was in her fifties while the other one was young and roughly twenty-one years old. "Thank you for seeing us, Alpha Kingston," Malina said as we sat down. I noticed that Kyle was smitten by the other woman but kept my observation to myself. The girl was pretty with Auburn hair. "Alpha meet my mother, Maria Ashbreed and my older sister Sabrina Ashbreed. Due to Zacharia's conduct, we decided it would be best if he doesn't come," She said, and I nodded. I looked at Maria and waited for her to speak. "Alpha Kingston, please excuse my son's bad behaviour," She began, and I nodded to let her know everything was forgiven. "Things are hard for us back home. My coven and I are lookin
Adam I called a meeting in the evening. Kyle told me the visitors had settled in well. Desiree promised to be nicer at her next meeting. I had threatened to punish her the next time she allowed her emotions to get the best of her. Thinking of it now, I realised it wasn't a good threat because the kind of punishment I had in mind was pleasure-filled, and I could see Desiree being naughty for that purpose. I would just have to hope that she kept her promise regardless. My father's council were waiting in the room when we entered, everyone was present except Kyle, whom I wondered what he was doing. He later entered smelling of Sabrina. "Where have you been?" I asked him through the link, not wanting anyone to know. "I was watching the witches," he confessed. "there was no need for that. Don't make us wait again," I warned him, and he apologised. "Margret told me the witches' envoy are here," My father said, and I nodded. Desiree adjusted in her seat, and I pleaded with her through th
Desiree We waited for Adam's father to speak. He had a broad smile on his face, which was typical of Dean when he was thinking of evil. He looked at me and smiled. "Desiree," he said, "please power our weapons, one for day and one for the night," he said, and I frowned. "Why should she do that, father?" Adam asked, and she smiled. "We need to give them a demonstration of how our weapons should run," he said, and we were all confused. "I cannot believe how slow you people are," he said and looked at Alfred Green. "Tell them," he told his beta, and the guy smiled and nodded. "By showing them that our weapons are running fine without their help, they will feel like a charity case. They will know we do not need them and are only helping them out of the kindness of our hearts. They will know we already have magic and can do without them. Above all, they will try to impress us to be relevant, which means they will power our weapons the best way they can to be stronger than the ones
