Blood and Moonlight

Sage Where is my folder. I didn't forget it. I never forget anything, it's one of the perks of having a photographic memory. Essays are due today and I can't miss the deadline. My college fund depends on it. I stop rummaging through my bag as I approach my locker. Then it hits me like it always does. The memory is hazy and fast but it's me putting it in there yesterday before I went home. I blink and it's gone as im spinning the combination on the locker and it opens with a loud thud. I flinch at the noise. Im barely able to reach in to grab the folder of finished essays, all ranging in different grades from C to A+, when there's a tap on my shoulder. I freeze for half a second before pulling the thick plastic folder from its shelf. I flip to the very back and pull out my original to turn in next period. I slide it skillfully into my bag before turning to my first customer of the day. "Hey Sage, what are your rates on Ms. Fosters English Lit paper?" Say the Blond, 6'4 mammoth of a "

Jax I couldn't help but reach out and touch her. She is most likely covered in bruises under her jacket. It's no secret that her father is a drunk. The way she turns around and glares at me with her green eyes through her square glasses brings my wolf to the surface, but instead of cowering like humans usually do at the sight of our wolves she stands her ground not budging. I want to reach out and touch her again but Foster catches her turned in her chair. I'm speechless when she automatically recites the lesson back to the teacher. I didn't think she was even paying attention. I'm looking her over and when my eyes lock with her yet again I see something flash in them, it was small and so fast I nearly missed it. It disappears and she turns back around in her chair. My wolf is surging beneath the surface. I'm not use to anyone holding their ground with me, especially such a tiny human girl. Her long dark hair falls over the edge of my desk Infront of me and before I can even stop my

Jax"She wants to meet her Alpha, and mate." I say holding her face carefully in my hands. I feel flames ignite in my palms and travel down my arms and into my chest. I watch as her face turns a crimson color and as gold swirls around in her forest green eyes. This girl is the opposite of me in every way. Just being around her I can already tell and I'm not sure why fate has made her mine. I'm not use to fragile little things.I watch as my words register with her, and confusion flashes across her redden face. She doesn't break eye contact with me as she reaches up to remove my hands from her face. "You have to be mistaken." She says softly letting my hands go. I instantly reach out for her again tracing my fingers down the sleeve of her denem jacket. "I'm human. My parents are human." She says turning back to her stack of papers Infront of her. I keep lightly tracing my fingers up and down her arm and I see her look around the room as if trying to find an exit strategy. I knew she'd

Sage "Okay." I say and I see the satisfaction cross his face as I lean away from him letting him sit back up his blonde hair falling back into his face. I don't know why agreed to go with him but it's either Jax, my father, or the student body that I'll have to face and even though I hardly know this guy logically he's the safest bet I have right now. "If we're gonna go it'd be best if we get out of here before the bell." He says lifting me up off of him. I catch my footing and pick my bag back up off the floor. "I have to drop the binder off at Lacey's locker." I say looking at the clock. Five minutes until the bell. Well shit. Our lockers are at the other end of the hall and I'll get caught in the middle if I try to return it. I bite my lip trying to figure out what to do when Jax grabs my bag and fishes the thick binder from my bag. I follow him to the front of the library where there a girl I recognize as Logan. She looks up as Jax approaches. She gives him a wide smile "What
