Breathe, Rain.

Rain inhaled deeply.

She didn’t know she had been holding her breath until that reminder from her brain.

He was in front of her, his head on her lap, his pulse barely discernable and his breathing shallow.

It brought back memories, Rain wouldn’t lie

to herself. Memories that made her legs weak and memories that made her brain muddled because sitting there with the man in front of her she didn’t know the next action to take.

“Alexander?” She called out again, this time the fear was evident in her voice. It seems like he was going to die and while that might be some sort of advantage to Rain, he was the boss…they might blame her for his death, they might kill her as well.

She should call someone!

He has to get treatment immediately.

“Bed…” his voice was low, she almost couldn’t hear what he’d said. He wheezed after, violent coughs racking his body so much that Rain felt his heart would stop at that moment.
