Chapter Nine- Acquaintances? Or not...
“Pleased to make your fine acquaintance Miss Katniss.” Ludale said with his hand still extended for a handshake. Katniss stared him down from head to toe with disgust vividly expressed on her face. She fixed her gaze firmly on that extended hand of his for a few seconds before looking up at his face again.
He had a smile on and it highlighted his river blue eyes. Katniss was good at reading people just from a mere glance, something she’d usually praise as a rare gift. She was able to pick up some weird inkles of mischief surrounding this Ludale’s demeanor. She wondered what business her mother would have with this man or what hidden agenda he had behind those bright eyes of his. Something felt wrong.
She scoffed and looked away from his face then faced her mother with full attention.
“Care to tell me the meaning of this mother?” Katniss inquired sternly. Ludale smiled in discomfit as he recoiled his arm, surely getting the message that Katniss didn’t want to shake

It was a norm in the Costello Mansion for dinner to be observed at sharp 7pm and it was already 7;47pm; Noah was fourty-seven minutes late as it is.
