Chapter Seven- "Haunted By Your Own Self..."

    The room was rendered almost completely dark as it was only lit up by a standing night lamp right next to Katniss’ bed; all the windows were shut and the blinders were closed and none of the light switches were turned on as well. Katniss had now come to enjoy the darkness as lit up rooms now irritated her.

The floor was littered with empty bottles of alcohol, stubbed out cigarette sticks, wraps which previously contained cocaine and other narcotics, packs of valiums and other sedatives, empty and nameless medicine bottles that previously contained God knows what, and used syringes.

    Broken glasses and splinters were scattered everywhere in the room as a result of Katniss’ occasional emotional outbursts which would cause her to violently break and smash one or two things around the room.
