Blackness surrounded me as I tried to focus and open my heavy eyes. Everything was hazy as I blinked several times. I attempted to move my hands to rub out this foggy vision but I had no such luck. My arms felt too heavy to lift. The smell from earlier still lingered in my nose causing me to cough.

" You're awake, marvelous," a deep voice said as he clapped several times in excitement. I still saw nothing as darkness was surrounding me. My heart sped as fear seeped in.

A match sound resonated in the distance as a spark came to life behind him. In an instant candles were lit around the room by a woman, one I could vaguely see. All I noticed was her blonde long hair as she quickly moved around the room almost too quickly I thought.

Maybe it was that I still felt groggy and my mind was playing tricks on me.
