Things started to happen fast once one of the darker wolves burst through the ragged old cabin door. I rushed to the window to see Emiry sitting still on an old beat-up couch. In front of Emiry a battle commenced with a blur of skin and fur as things happened at an immense speed. I pushed open the window and crawled in. I had one thing on my mind and that was getting her out. If we could make it to my truck were my only thoughts once I reached her.

" Let's go!" I rushed to say except she did not look my way.

I crouched down to her level to see her eyes which appeared hollow and lacking their normal vibrancy. " Emiry, we need to go now". Still, she did not move as if she was in a trance.
