Marsai's POV
The rumbling of my stomach troubled me to the extent that I thought I may die soon. My heart was in my mouth as I dashed off, before the dinner was over. Luckily for me, no eyes were on me.
I didn't know what came over me but I knew it was a good thing. This may land me into trouble as I just dared Alpha Asher. The Alpha everyone is afraid of.
My body still tingles whenever I remember his blood dropping into my mouth. I never wanted this type of life and I will do anything to change it.
I could feel that Alpha Asher tried mind-linking me but I keep breaking off the mind-link with all my might. It used all my energy but that was what I had to do to avoid any communication with him.
I was part of his pack now but I am not ready to yield to his biddings. I could feel him forcing his head inside my mind but I pushed him out whenever he tried.
"Damn it. Can't he just forget about me?" I murmured under my breath as I kept running with all my might.
I ran as fast as I could do, escaping the borders. For the very first time, the borders were clear. No guards were on duty as most of them were at the palace attending the party with the Alphas.
Heaving a sigh of relief, I crossed the river and went deep into the woods. I flinched when a squirrel ran past my legs and a tree's branch almost found its way into my eyes.
"Don't think you can run away, you filthy Omega," I heard a voice say and I came to a halt. My eyes roamed through the woods as fear gripped me.
"Who is that?" I asked but I could not get an answer. Instead, the squeaks of rats filled the air.
"Why have you been forcing me out of your mind? Do you think you can run away from me?" the voice came again and I gasped.
No way. I didn't let that happen, did I? I made sure I comported myself and remained calm.
"If I were you, I would come back to where I left. If you don't want to incur my wrath," Alpha Asher said through the mind link and the mind link fell through.
His voice gave me the chills as if he was going to kill me the moment he laid his hand on me. My heart was torn apart and I fidgeted. My teeth gritted and my feet suddenly became cold.
Winds blew continuously in the woods and my eyes shone brightly as I looked out for rogues. They were most active by this time and if anyone finds me, I will be a dead meat since I have no wolf.
I was torn between two decisions. Going back to meet Alpha Asher or continue my journey to an unknown place.
I dragged my legs, heading to the direction where I was coming from.
"What if you are turned into a slave? A whore? Is that the kind of life you want for yourself?" The question popped out of nowhere and when I was still deliberating, the loud howl of a wolf filled the woods.
I could hear scratching and howling. My eyes widened and I hid behind a tree. It was the sound of a wolf. I could hear the tearing apart of bodies and the eating of flesh.
What could be going on? I need to get away from here. While I tried leaving where I was hiding, I stumbled on a stone and fell face flat to the ground.
My hair was scattered and some particles of soil entered my mouth. Getting up slowly, I came face to face with a giant black wolf staring at me with yellow eyes.
My body froze and it was as if my heart beat stopped for a second. A sharp pain struck through my head.
I ran as my legs could carry me and the wolf pursued me with all its might. There was no other option than to run.
"Oh, moon goddess. Save my soul. Just this time, let me be able to shift into my wolf," I prayed silently but nothing happened. There was no indicator that my wolf had been awakened.
I started breathing heavily as I was already out of breath. The wolf was already catching up with me so fast when my head spinned.
The spinning was so fast that I felt everywhere around me move in circles. I didn't know when I fell onto the floor in the woods, gasping for air.
I wrapped my hand around my stomach as I groaned in pain, probably because I haven't eaten anything since morning.
I knew I was losing it slowly. I regretted running away from Alpha Asher. And now the wolf. The thought of the wolf tearing my skin into pieces sent chills down my spine.
I would gladly accept death if it is what it will take. My mind drifted to another place entirely and I ended up passing out.

Alpha Asher's POV
Everything played out like a dream. One minute the goddamn omega is here and another minute, she disappeared.
In my anger and rage, I stormed out of the place and called for my warriors. They all assembled as they could feel the heat coming out from my nostrils.
"Search every nook and cranny of this place and beyond and bring that omega," I commanded them and they unsheathed their swords.
"What if we don't see her, Alpha? What are we going to do?" One of the warriors asked me and I scoffed at his stupidity.
"I'm amazed at your audacity. If you don't find her, don't come back. Find her and bring her back alive!" I thundered and my voice shook everywhere.
I sent out my pack warriors to find her and
the warriors stormed off into the forest. I watched them as they left and my face brightened.
"The moon goddess is the only one who can save you out of my hands, Omega Marsai…And that will be hard."
Marsai's POV I twisted my body on the bed countless times as my eyes opened slowly. It was as if a heavy load had been relieved from my head.Stretching my arms out with my eyes wide open, the rays from the sun struck my face and I trembled. The scent of the house hit my nostrils and I could inhale a tiny bit of dust. Roaming my eyes around the place, I noticed something strange."How did I find myself here?" I asked no one in particular. The surroundings of the house looked deserted and the house was looking strange with its tiny windows.I tried recalling things but I could not. The last thing I was able to remember was a wolf staring at me.I jolted immediately from the bed and checked every part of my body looking for scars and deep cuts but I couldn't find any. I was very sure that I got an injury somewhere. How did it miraculously disappear?"You are awake," a thick voice called out and I took some steps backwards. A tall looking man was standing in front of me holding a tray."
Alpha Asher’s POVI walked out onto the terrace. This was one of the few places I felt like staying to clear my mind of some stupid thoughts. At this rate, I could kill someone if I'm not careful.I was alone and away from the prying eyes and curious ears of servants and spies. It was then it pricked me that not following my warriors was a foolish idea.It will be a lot easier to trace her since she drank my blood. I stormed out of where I was and barged into my room in the palace. I put on my battle clothes as if I was actually going for a battle. My royal apparel was hung in the wardrobe in my room. Anyone who sees me will think I was bringing war to the rogues or to the rival pack. No one's mind will go to the fact that I am actually going to get a girl.A girl I bought and ran away for reasons best known to her. She owes me so many explanations. Ranging from the reason she ran away to why she kept breaking off the mind link.I gritted my teeth when I remembered that and jumped int
Marsai’s POVGuilt was a bitter feeling in the back of one’s throat. I watched as Alpha Asher carried the rogue that helped me by his shoulder, then flung him until he hit a tree and he fell to the ground with a thud.A moan escaped his lips. The guards that were set out to find me stood all around me and even if I wanted to run away, I couldn’t. They were too fast and agile compared to me. One of them crept up behind me, then took both of my hands into his hand.“Let me go.” I cried, the physical touch shaking me out of the trance I was in.I was in a state of shock. I almost couldn’t believe it even though I knew that Alpha Asher was not going to rest until he found me. I felt horrible dragging down the poor man with me and now, he was probably going to kill the both of us.My body started to shake in fear, and my eyes were glistened with tears. Alpha Asher took a step towards Sebastian, then he crouched down to his level and placed a hand on his jaw.“You ran away with her, didn’t
Marsai’s POV I fidgeted nervously in my seat, as I had never driven on a plane before, I tried comporting myself by staring straight ahead at the view outside the plane window. The only sound that could be heard between myself and Asher was the low hum of airplane engines. I stole a quick glance at him from beneath my dark lashes, wondering if he was still mad at me. Asher didn't seem bothered by anything, as he leaned his head against the seat with his eyes closed. He looked like any other bored passenger flying to their destination—calm and composed while waiting for takeoff. Despite the fact that he demanded for me, we have never been in such an enclosed space together before this moment - not since things changed between them after last week's mission when they were thrown into chaos without backup. The air was thick with tension between us, we were opposites who nevertheless shared a bond forged through firefights and danger.I struggled to find something--anything--to say t
As I stood in the dimly lit dungeon, it felt like an eternity had passed since Sebastian was taken away. The heavy silence weighed on my chest and all I could hear was my own footsteps as I paced around nervously. Anxiety gripped me with each passing moment and thoughts raced through my head. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of cruel punishment he must be enduring at this very minute. Was he hurt? Scared? All alone, wondering if anyone would come to his rescue? A wave of guilt washed over me as well, knowing that our connection had led him straight into danger's path. It was not the first time either; trouble seemed to follow me wherever I am and it would greatly affect people that I got involved with. The warrior who had been pursuing us served as proof of that fact - now captured by those same pursuers whose wrath we'd feared so much. All these thoughts swirled within me leaving only one question left unanswered- how long can any man last here before breaking entirely? As I
As soon as he saw me, his anger was evident on his face. His brows furrowed together while his eyes reflected irritation and fury all at once. "What are you wearing?" He growled loudly at me. "House clothing," I replied timidly while staring back into his fiery gaze. Alpha Asher took a few steps closer to me with heavy footsteps that resounded throughout the quiet apartment we were staying in, then pointed an accusatory finger directly into my face. "You can't wear those rags to school! What do you think this is? Some kind of game?" His gaze immediately fell on me. His eyes flashed with anger and irritation as he surveyed my outfit. "What do you think you're doing?" he growled at me, his facial expression reflecting his frustration. “How can you wear such to school?” "I'm just going to school, I feel comfortable in this cloth," I replied timidly, hoping to avoid a confrontation. But Alpha Asher wasn't having any of it. "You can't go out looking like that!" he snapped back at me.
Third person’s POV As she sat down, Marsai couldn't help but feel out of place amidst all the other students who had arrived before her.But then something surprising happened— one girl caught Marsai's eye and gave her a warm smile. For some reason, it felt like a beacon of hope for what could be possible in this new environment. However, there was something nagging at Marsai's thoughts that prevented her from fully enjoying this moment; no matter how well things might start off now, eventually everyone would realize that she didn’t have any wolf to protect or assist them, unlike most members of their pack.It wasn't just about being different. It was about feeling helpless because Marsai knew only too well why having such companions were essential. Wolves could sense predators long before humans ever do and alert owners immediately they perceive danger approaching via sounds or smell detection abilities beyond human comprehension. However much these animals may limit mobility due to
As soon as Tasha and I left the classroom, we walked towards the corridor where we bumped into a male senior that caught my eye. He was tall with black hair combed neatly to the side, wearing a blue shirt and jeans."Hey Tasha! It's been ages since our last conversation," said the guy cheerfully.Tasha greeted him warmly before introducing me to him.“This is Marsai, she just joined us at school today."“Pleased to meet you," he replied before making small talk with both of us for several minutes. As if on cue, his jokes made everyone laugh–including myself–and without even noticing it at first, I realized how much fun we were all having. Then came an unexpected invitation from him:"You guys look like cool people whom I would love hanging out with more often. Is it okay for the two of you to come over tomorrow night? I'm throwing a house party which could use some company."I felt butterflies in my stomach at hearing his proposal but quickly scanned through my memory bank of pre-prog
