ARABELLA POV

“Austin,” I finally said. “Austin is coming. He says he is coming to pay his respects to the new…Cross heiress.”

The paper trembled in my hands, and I read the words again, hoping I had misunderstood, hoping my eyes were playing tricks on me. But the words were clear, written in Austin’s neat, precise handwriting, sealed with the Blue Moon Pack’s crest. He was coming. He was coming to court the new Cross heiress. He was coming to court me, and he had no idea who I was.

ADRIAN The car ride back to the Blue Moon Pack was silent. Garry drove, his hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were white, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. Liam sat in the passenger seat, his head turned to the window, his reflection a ghost in the glass. Neither of them spoke. Neither of them dared to. I sat in the backseat, my body rigid, my eyes fixed on the window. The trees passed by in a blur, their dark shapes merging into one long shadow, and I did not see any of it. I saw only her face. Arabella’s face. The cold smile, the sharp eyes, the way she had looked at me like I was nothing. Like I was the dirt beneath her shoes. Humiliation burned in my chest, hot and choking. I had been dismissed. Cast aside. Treated like a servant who had overstepped his place. In front of everyone. In front of her pack. In front of my own men. And the worst part was, I deserved it. Every word she had spoken was true. I had treated her like garbage. I had allo

ARABELLA POV The hall erupted. Completely. Voices rose in a cacophony of shock and confusion, pack members turning to each other with wide eyes and open mouths, whispers spreading like wildfire through the crowd. But I did not look away from Adrian. I kept my eyes fixed on his face, watching the way his expression shifted from shock to horror to something that looked almost like fear.He stood frozen, his body rigid, his hands clenched at his sides. His companions, Garry and Liam, had risen to their feet, their faces pale, their eyes darting between me and Adrian as if they could not decide what to do. The pack members closest to them had stepped back, creating a space around them, as if they were suddenly contagious."Arabella," Adrian said again, his voice barely a whisper. "You are... you are the Cross heiress?"I tilted my head, a cold smile playing at my lips. "I am. Surprised?"He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing. "I did not know. I did not—I never imagined—""That

ARABELLA POV The morning of Adrian's arrival dawned bright and cold, and I was already awake when the first rays of sunlight crept through my curtains. I had not slept much the night before, my mind too full of plans and possibilities to rest, but I did not feel tired. I felt alive. I felt ready.Mira entered my room shortly after sunrise, carrying a tray of tea and a small plate of pastries. She had recovered well from her ordeal, though she still moved carefully, as if afraid of being hurt again."Miss Arabella," she said, setting the tray on the table beside my bed. "The preparations are complete. Lord Edward has asked me to tell you that everything is ready for the Bluemoon Allah arrival."I nodded, taking a sip of the tea. "Thank you, Mira. And how are you feeling this morning?"She smiled, a real smile, and I felt a warmth in my chest. "I am well, Miss. Thanks to you."I reached out and squeezed her hand. "You do not have to thank me. You are my responsibility now. And I take

AdrianThe morning air was cold and sharp, biting at my skin as I stood by the car and watched my men load the last of the luggage into the trunk. The sky was still dark, the sun not yet risen, and the pack lands were quiet, the only sound the distant howl of a lone wolf and the rustle of leaves in the wind. I had not slept well the night before. My mind had been racing, turning over the same thoughts again and again, and I had finally given up on rest and decided to prepare for the journey ahead.Garry and Liam stood nearby, their breath misting in the cold air, their faces still heavy with sleep. They had not complained when I told them we were leaving at dawn, but I could see the questions in their eyes. They wanted to know why I was so determined to go to the Whiteclaw Pack. They wanted to know why I was so fixated on this mysterious heiress. They wanted to know what I hoped to gain from this journey.I did not have the answers they wanted. I did not have the answers for myself.

The one who stood by while I was humiliated and cast aside. The one who never once defended me.”The room erupted. My father’s face went red with anger. “He dares to come here? After everything his pack did to you? After everything he allowed to happen?”Selene, who had been silent until now, stepped forward, her eyes blazing. “This is an insult. A del

ARABELLA POV The werewolf doctor had just finished his examination, his hands still warm from checking my pulse and my temperature and the healing wound on my arm where the IV had been. He stepped back, his expression professional but relieved, and he gave a small nod. "You are recovering well, Miss Cross. The poison has been fully flushed from your system, and your vitals are stable. I see no reason to keep you here any longer. You can be discharged today."I let out a breath I had not realized I had been holding, and the tension in my shoulders eased. "Thank you, Doctor. That is the best news I have heard in days."Kael stood by the window, his arms crossed over his chest, his dark eyes watching the doctor with an intensity that made the poor man nervous. He had not left my side since the moment I woke up, and even now, he looked reluctant to accept that I was well enough to leave. "You are certain she is ready?" he asked, his voice low and controlled. "There will be no relapse?
