Authors' Note

This is my first ever supernatural story that I'm so proud to share with you all. But, I'm not alone. I will be writing with a good friend of mine who has been supporting me in my writing journey. I'm really glad that I got to collaborate with her in this werewolf novel and we're so excited to share with you guys the novel we've been planning to create.

Bound By Fate

= Since we haven't written under the supernatural genre before, we don't know about the tropes and other clichés that this genre has especially werewolf, so pardon us. We've tried to come up with a not-so-overdone premise and hopefully, we can pull this off. There will be some actions, twists and turns, along with other stuff that you can expect in a novel. But, this is different because this is something that I never thought we would be writing; I've never read some werewolf stories before or actually watch some series or movies about it. We've just had some research to provide the readers with a close-to-accurate werewolf thingy. So here we go . . .

Portia Laurent becomes a part of an organization that's determined to find a werewolf species for a DNA experiment. Their mission has driven her to search for any living werewolf before the full moon rises and before they can attack humans. Portia has spent her life researching about her werewolf fascination, making it easier to discern one. But her knowledge hasn't helped her in their mission, not until one day, she finds out about the luna. Her friend, Valerie, has told her about a significant mark on her back that reveals Valerie's fate. Baffled, Portia tries to suppress her skepticism for she thinks that it may just be a coincidence. As much as she tries to shake off the fact that Valerie may be the mate of alpha, the truth has unfolded in front of her when she meets Giofré. She pledges her loyalty to the organization, but she cares so much about Valerie to betray her and capture the alpha. She gives herself some time to think, but an incident happens and she's forced to make the right decision. After knowing Valerie has gone missing, everyone starts to point fingers. When the blame is directed to Portia, who isn't aware of what happened, she decides to confront the werewolf. It seems like the world plays on her when the alpha, Giofré, has blamed Portia for Valerie's absence. He's enraged and he's eager to kill Portia, but he won't because he can't lay a hand on her. They come up with a solution and decide to find Valerie together so they can get married and the longing will diminish. Throughout their journey of finding the lost mate, they soon find themselves being in a constant attraction which is stifled by Giofré's feelings towards Valerie. But after spending time with each other, they are both shaken by a disconcerting truth that has been hidden from Portia, making her question everything she believes in. Where can Portia's skepticism take her until she realizes that her fate has been foreshadowed?
