Alpha Enzo’s POV

The door to my office was banged open by a prison guard and I could swear that everything within my life of vision turned red.

“You better have a reason for barging into my office like that or I'll barge you into the afterlife!” I said to the guard with a deadly calm that I didn't feel. How dare he interrupt my snakes and ladder game?!

" I beg your pardon sir but you have to come or we'll have a dead body on our hands!” The guard said to me looking frantic.

" What do you mean?” I asked him as I shut down the laptop that I was playing the game with. I hoped this would end quickly so that I would continue. I had a high score to beat.

“It's the prisoner, Aurora! She has been coughing up blood clots for the past hour and she is refusing any form of treatment! At this rate she is going to die and we would get blamed for not taking care of her!” The guard said to me and I sprang into action.
