CAMILLE

Standing near the entryway was a beautiful lady. She was wearing a figure-hugging cream coat over a tight designer dress, her long blonde hair falling in perfect waves over her shoulders. She was also holding a leather folder in one hand, her bright blue eyes scanning Silvan with a mix of familiarity and obvious hunger.

“Silvan, darling.” She smiled as she walked in. “Your secretary downstairs said you were in a private meeting, but I figured you wouldn’t mind me dropping by.”

CAMILLE“You literally ditched me at the bar to go chase after a random blonde guy, Mia!" I rolled my eyes hard, folding my arms across my chest as I leaned on the kitchen counter. "I had to deal with everything by myself!”Mia was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, looking up at me with an apologetic grin. “Oh come on Cam! We've talked about this. He was super hot, and you know I can't resist a good-looking guy. Plus, you had Damian with you! I thought you guys were having your little secret agent catch-up.”"Well, it wasn't a catch up but a total disaster. I never imagined he'll be that aggressive." I grumbled, sinking into the chair across from her and rubbing my temples. "Damian lost his mind, you vanished, and I ended up alone.”“I would have done the same, if my girlfriend unexpectedly got married." “Miaaa!" I glared at her, she rolled her eyes looking away. “You know we were never a thing, and I never knew he had such feelings for me." She burst into laughter, and I really fel

He stood with his hands in his pockets, his posture rigid. “You shouldn't be in my office, Clara. You know my office is off-limits to board guests.”“Oh, stop being so serious,” the lady laughed, stepping closer to slide her hand over his forearm, her painted red nails standing out against his dark suit. “I'm not a guest. My father sent over the revised shareholder documents for the annual global gala. I thought I'd deliver them personally... and maybe see if you

CAMILLESilvan barely left his desk. One minute, he was speaking French on a call, and the next, he was switching to German as if it were nothing. He scribbled notes as he listened, then suddenly started speaking Spanish. I had no idea what he was saying, but judging by his tone, he was definitely swearing.I swear the man was a hot-tempered being!I, on the other hand, stayed near his desk, taking down memos, sorting through files, and replacing his coffee whenever it got cold. Which he mostly didn't even drink.Even though I was mad at him, I couldn't even dare to make an attitude now, because he was definitely in a bad mood. Every time I leaned over his desk to hand him a document, I could feel his grey eyes on me. Gosh, I hate the way he stares at me!His intense gaze on me reminds me of how Mia looks at her victims.Speaking of Mia, I needed to call her. Unlike her, she hasn't called me or replied to my texts, which was quite unusual. Finally, it was 2:00 pm, and the calls ended

  • Bound To The Ruthless CEO    CHAPTER 23: MAD AT HIM

SILVANWhen Martha brought out the plate, Camille picked up her fork and shoved the food into her mouth, chewing with so much aggressive force that she looked like she wanted to bite my head off instead. I ate my breakfast in silence, thoroughly amused by her silent rage.A few minutes later, Reto walked into the dining room, glancing at his watch. “Good morning, Mr. Alder. Good morning, Mrs. Alder.”Camille didn't even look at him. She just let out a petty, aggressive "Mm-hmm," stood up from the table, and stormed straight out the front doors.I looked at the table, and the plate of food was half unfinished. Martha, who had been standing in the dining room, looked at me with a concerned expression. Later, a loud BOOM echoed from the driveway, which I guessed was a car door slamming. Reto winced slightly, looking at me. "Sounds like a rough morning."I didn't answer. I wiped my mouth with a napkin, stood up, and walked out to the garage. She was already sitting at the back of the b

SILVANCamille was literally pressed against the passenger door, her body so stiff she looked like she was ready to jump out onto the highway. She wouldn't even look in my direction.“He's not my boyfriend," she muttered, "and I don't owe you an explanation.”I let out a harsh laugh, turning my head to look at her. The streetlights flickered over her face, catching the stubborn glare in her eyes and the faint red mark still lingering on her left wrist. My jaw tightened; seeing that mark stirred something in me— a sudden rush of anger.“Is that why he was dragging you through a crowded bar?" I asked. "Because he isn't your boyfriend?”Camille whipped her head toward me, her eyes flashing with instant anger. "You were watching me?”"It's hard not to notice when my wife is making a public scene with another man.”“Stop calling me that, and I wasn't making a scene!” she spat, leaning forward slightly, her restraint snapping. “He was talking to me, okay? Things got out of hand. That's it.

SILVAN My head was pounding, and the bass from the speakers was vibrating through my glass, but I couldn't care less.Ever since that damned phone call yesterday, things had been awkward between us. Camille gave me the cold shoulder and left for her apartment in the morning. Not like I cared, though; I wanted to give her space too. And I was a bit sorry for my harshness and bluntness towards her.The truth is, I couldn't admit I found her attractive, even though she wasn't my type of lady. Although she was confident, I could tell she was timid, naive, and way too soft for someone like me.By 8 PM, Clara wouldn't stop calling. She begged me to meet her at the Twilight Bar, whining about how I was avoiding her. I only went because my uncle wouldn't shut up about keeping the Bennett family happy until the merger was signed. And here I was."Silvan, darling, are you even paying attention to me?" Clara pouted, leaning over the table. "Yeah, Clara. Fascinating," I muttered, taking a swing
