Chapter 99 – The Vanishing

Crystal’s POV

After Frances’s disappearance, the villa felt too quiet. The kind of silence that makes one scared, and makes every sound, footsteps and shadows eerie.

Frances’s absence was no longer something we could dismiss as a morning walk. The news of her not being found yet had spread, and people were scared. Most soldiers shifted into their full wolf forms to look for her, the sound of doors opening mixed with the sound of multiple feets running and voices calling out for her, only increased my fear.

Chapter 100 – Shadows at the TableCrystal’s POVThe door creaked open and my stomach dropped. Giovanni’s eyes turned toward me, sharp and knowingly, he smirked at me.Before he could say anything, Alejandro stepped out to meet us, closing the door behind him with a heavy thud. His face was pale, his jaw clenched so tight, I saw the muscle twitching.“I don’t intend to take what my father stole from your family,” he said in a low, rough voice, while he looked at Giovanni. “But this is not the time. It’s the weekend, and I am still looking for my sister. By Monday I will call the elders of this pack and the board of directors— Giovanni, so you will get what’s rightfully yours. That will end this once and for all.”Before I could respond, he grabbed my arm—not harsh, but firm—and pulled me away from the room. “Let us go, Crystal.”I could not stop myself from looking back at Giovanni, and he was still there, watching us from the glass covering of the door. His eyes glowed an unnatural e

You scared the life out of me,” I muttered, still keeping my voice down.“Sorry,” she said, her eyes looking towards the bed where Giovanni laid still, almost like he was lifeless. “I couldn’t sleep. My mind wouldn’t stop racing, thinking of how to help him. Then an idea came—maybe I could try using this new power of mine. I didn’t know you were still here.”We kept whispering, like we were afraid to disturb him. I shifted closer, watching her. She looked so determined, yet it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing.“I don’t know if this will work,” she admitted, almost to herself. “But I have to try.”Gabrielle knelt by the bed and stretched her hand carefully over Giovanni’s head. Nothing happened. Not even a spark. She frowned, and tried again, this time moving her hand over h

I had been staring at the ceiling for so long, my mind replaying the fight between Alejandro, Giovanni, because of me, over and over like a broken record, and this made my heart ache.“Come in,” I whispered, my voice hoarse from crying all through. The door creaked open, and to my surprise, Luna, Gabrielle, and Nana stepped inside. For a moment, I just blinked at them, not sure if I was dreaming because I haven't seen Luna in a while. “Sweetheart,” Luna said softly, her smile warm but sad. She walked up to where I laid on my bed, first, Gabrielle and Nana followed. Before I could even sit up, Luna sat beside me and pulled me into her arms. Gabrielle hugged me from the other side, and Nana placed her hand on my hair. The warmth of their embrace melted something inside me, and my eyes were filled with tears instantly.“We heard everything,” Luna whispered against my hair. “About Giovanni, Aleja

We had been circling the borders for hours, waiting for Marco to strike, but no one came. Just shadows, whispers, and the dread in my chest.I was already on edge when I finally saw a familiar emerald light coming towards us.Marco.He stepped out of the trees, eyes gleaming like fire. I froze, my body torn between lunging at him and still thinking about Crystal and Giovanni. Chapter 95 – The RivalAlejandro’s POV Giovanni stood at the far end, his eyes blazing, his jaw clenched as he could barely hide his disappointment. The air thickened and was heavy with the aftermath of Crystal and I being caught in this situation. I dropped my hand, my chest heaving, unable to give a proper explanation. “It’s not—”“Don’t you dare,” Giovanni snapped, walking closer to where Crystal and I stood. His voice was a snarl, low and dangerous. “Don’t you dare try to explain this to me like I am blind.”“Giovanni, listen—” I stepped forward, my palms raised, desperately trying to make him understand and not create a scene. “You don’t understand. I—”His glare cut me off, sharp as steel.“I understand enough. With everything happening with Marco, you choose to do this! You chose to cool off by wanting to sleep with someone old enough to be your daughter? Someone you should be protecting… Come on Ale, this is your sister and it's wrong on every side.” He growled.“I know!” I
