REDMOON PACK

TROY’S POV

My intense training in the gym was interrupted when one of my men rushed in, breathless and alarmed. “Alpha, there has been an attack on our land.”

Who would dare to challenge us like this? I thought, anger flaring within me. Well, whoever they were, I was going to teach them a lesson. I was going to treat this interruption as an extension of my training regimen.

I went outside to see my pack was already engaging in battle. Amidst the chaos, a distinct and enticing scent reached my senses, It was a smell I could not ignore. I walked towards the direction of this alluring pull trying to figure out where it was coming from until I stood face to face with her.

Her presence hit me like a bolt of lightning. The most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Her blue hair flowed gracefully, and her golden eyes gleamed like the sun.

Mate. The word echoed in my mind. She was my mate.

Our eyes locked, and I could see the anger burning within her. “This ends now,” she declared as she moved to strike me.

Something seems wrong, I thought to myself.

I transformed into a massive wolf, towering over her. I watched as her eyes widened. The Redmoon are larger than other werewolves but I was larger than most in my pack. I chuckled internally as I watched the way she was taken aback by my size.

“Are you not going to shift, or is that all you have got?” I teased, hoping to provoke a reaction. But she never changed her form, and without warning, she lunged at me.

She attacked quickly and fiercely, but I easily dodged her strikes. It was like I knew exactly what she would do next as if I could predict her moves with remarkable accuracy.

Despite everything, I did not fight back. Deep down, I knew she was not truly my enemy, at least not in the usual way. And while I held back my attacks, I could not deny the truth, she was powerful.

After a time, her pack conceded, recognizing their outnumbered position. I signaled for my pack to stand down as I watched her lead her pack away. An inner feeling told me she might not be a full werewolf yet, otherwise, she would have recognized the mating bond.

Observing her departure, I could not ignore the void that appeared. I wanted more of that brief encounter, a feeling I had not experienced before.

I went into my office, still stunned by what had just happened.

“Why did you call off the attack? We had a better shot at bringing them down for daring to challenge the strongest pack in the district,” Xeno stated as he walked into my office.

Xeno was my best friend and the beta of my pack, the Redmoon, and as such was the only one who was bold enough to question my decision.

“ I found her” I announced

“ Troy, what are you talking about?” Xeno asked confused by my response.

“ I said I found her. ” I replied with a smile forming on my face.

“ Found who?” he asked, he was even more confused than before. “Did you hit your head on something because you are acting strange?”

I rolled my eyes at his assumption. “I meant I have found my mate and she is quite the feisty one,” I answered with the broadest cheesiest smile.

"Where is she now?" Xeno inquired.

"Likely with the rest of her pack," I responded.

“ Is it who I think it is?” He questioned.

“ Yes.” I got up from my chair and walked to the window at the far corner of the room, from this point I was able to see a large view of my territory.

“ Wow,” Xeno exclaimed,

“ I don't think she realized that we are destined to be together,” I continued.

“ I'm lost. What do you mean, Troy?”

“ As soon as I sensed her presence, I immediately knew she was mine but she seemed not to notice, probably because she is not a full werewolf,” I answered.

“She is a weakling, what a joke.” he chuckled.

Without thinking, I swiftly ran in his direction, grabbed him by the throat, and pinned him against the wall.

“You will not speak about your future Luna in that manner,” I growled, my eyes blazing red.

“My apologies, Alpha. I spoke out of line," Xeno apologized.

I released my grip on him and returned to my position.

“ My concern is why did they attack our pack in the first place,” I asked curiously.

“I might have a theory,” Xeno began. “I have been delving into our pack's history and records lately.”

“ Go on,” I asked, urging him to continue.

“It appears that your father's ego and ambitions have earned us some enemies,” Xeno explained.

“ Are you saying that my mate sees us as her enemy?” I asked.

“Perhaps,” Xeno said.

“It just keeps getting more complicated,” I sighed in frustration.

“I guess you and your mate are already starting on the wrong foot,” he stated.

“ How do I get her to like me?” I inquired.

“Well, you can hope that the moon goddess makes everything work in your favor,” he answered.

“ How about we bring her here.” I proposed.

“Considering she sees us as her sworn enemies, I doubt she would come willingly,” Xeno stated.

“That is why we are going to attack her pack,” I announced.

Xeno looked at me as if I had lost my mind. “Are you trying to win her over or just create more chaos?”

“By having her here, I might have a chance to win her heart and learn why she hates us,” I explained.

“That sounds risky,” Xeno warned.

“Got a better plan?” I asked

“Unfortunately, no,”

“Good. Prepare our forces. We strike when they least expect it,” I ordered.

“Understood, Alpha.”

"Ensure no harm comes to her pack members. Bring my mate safely to me. That is your priority, Xeno."

He nodded and left to send my message to the rest of my army.

With Xeno gone, I was left with my thoughts. The happiness of finally finding my mate overshadowed the frustration I felt. I was beginning to believe the moon goddess had deemed me mateless. My beta had found his mate on his eighteenth birthday when he shifted into his wolf form and I must confess, I have been quite jealous of the bond they shared.

But all that changed when I looked into her eyes. She was the perfect girl for me.

A heavy feeling settled in my chest when I realized she did not know I was her mate. It was even worse when I learned she disliked my pack. But I was determined to change that. I was going to win her over.

Chapter 138 – Blue’s POVThe world outside felt eerily calm as we prepared to set out. Emily’s sobs echoed in my mind as I stood by the window, staring into the night. It was the calm before the storm—a silence that weighed heavily on all of us.Troy’s presence beside me was steadying. He placed a hand on my shoulder, his grip firm and reassuring. “We’ll get him back, Blue. We’ll bring Nathan home.”I nodded, steeling myself. “And we’ll finally end this madness.”Emily sat nearby, her face pale and drawn, clutching the last remnants of hope she had. Her brother’s life hung in the balance, and we couldn’t fail.Troy stepped forward, the sword from his uncle’s chest now sheathed at his side. “This might be more than just saving Nathan. If Emily’s right, this man—the one behind all of this—could be tied to the secrets of the cult. He might even be the one who’s been orchestrating the attacks against our pack.”I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in.“You don’t think…?” I he

TROY’S POV.I opened the door letting Blue inside. It was the room where my dad had kept some of his possessions before he died. I have not been inside here for a while and I felt nostalgic.“What are we doing here?” Blue asked, “You never wanted me in this room,” “Yep but I think it’s important now,” I said walking to where there was a pile of boxes, and underneath was an old wooden chest. I removed all the boxes out of my way and brought out a sword from it, carved by the finest blacksmith, and showed it to Blue. “What’s that got to do with anything,” Blue asked, placing both hands on her side.“It belongs to my uncle,” I said. “ Okay, and? Do you intend to use it to fight off the enemies? Because we have to know who they are before we can fight them.” “Look,” I said while showing Blue the fine craft design embedded on the swords. “You see what is written here?” Blue eyes widen in surprise as she reads the words “Deep in the assay,”“Exactly,” I answered proudly and carefully

EMILY’S POV. Humming a turn mindlessly, I strolled along the lonely part leading to my house. It was a shortcut that I had not used in a while but today I decided to take that lane because I was exhausted and needed to rest. While walking I noticed an unusual sound and I turned around to see a man standing beside me. He was wearing all black and wore a mask too, so I could only see a part of his face. “Hey, “ I said trying to hide my fear, it was strange to see another person walking in the same lane because it's usually quiet and nobody uses it as much. He did not say anything, so I kept walking fast and trying to be on high alert. The man eventually caught up with him. At this point, the hair on the back of my neck was standing and I did not know if to run or pretend to be brave. So I choose the latter.“Are you sure you did not take anything from that room,” he asked.“What are you talking about?” I asked, walking faster, trying to get away from this creep. “You know exactly

BLUE’S POV. I went upstairs to tend to my crying babies. I entered the room to find Troy was already there, gently rocking one of the babies side by side and whispering soothing words to both of our little ones. I placed my hands on his shoulder, thankful for his help before going to carry the other baby to breastfeed.I settled into the nearby rocking chair, cradling our second baby close, and chuckled softly. “They like having a lot of attention, don’t they?”He nodded, his gaze shifting between our babies. “They do,” he said, and then smiling softly, he continued ” They are just like their mama, always wanting all of my attention,”“What do you mean?” I pouted, “I definitely do not disturb like this kids,”“Whatever you say, darling, whatever you say,” he responded and kissed my forehead. “They took after their father, not me,” I protested. “I was a sweet little girl growing up and never cried over nothing,” I said proudly.“Even that statement sounds like a lie,” he said cockil

BLUE’S POV.“Hi, what brought you here, this early? I hope you are okay,” I said to Emily as soon as I walked into the office where she was. I noticed she seemed uncomfortable and bothered about something.“Good morning, Blue,” she greeted, “I am sorry for disturbing you but there is something that I need you to see,” “What is that ?” I asked, curious.“It does not look like much at first sight but I think it holds the answers we have been looking for and hopefully it will help us trace the people who experimented on Alex,” Emily said, then unzipped her backpack and brought out some drawings with strange drawing and a green book which looked like something I have seen before. “Where did you get that book from?” I asked while pointing at it. “My brother gave it to me, he said Alex had lent it to him before his death,” she paused studying my reaction, and then continued, “At first glance, it looks like it has nothing to do with anything that has been happening lately and just any regu

BLUE’S POV. “Sabrina, Sabrina,” I called out, turning around in the darkness, the place was void and empty and I had been calling her number for what felt like hours even though it was just a couple of minutes. “Sabrina,” I screamed. “Stop being a coward and fucking answer me, Sabrina,” The atmosphere changed and I immediately knew that Sabrina was nearby. “Stop shouting I can hear you quite alright, I am not deaf,” Sabrina said in a soft sing-song manner. “Then what took you so long to answer me? Cause I would have sworn you were going deaf,” I spat in anger.“Easy there now Child, your anger is too much and we don't like it when. People visit our arena with that much anger, it disrupts the balance of my realm,” she said calmly. The way she sounded calmly made me even more angry.“What do you want Child,” she asked softly, “I am guessing I already know why judging from your anger but I would like to hear you speak for yourself,” “Why did you not inform me earlier, you said you w

  • Bound by the moonlight.   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE.

EMILY’S POV. I walked up very early in the morning clutching tightly the bag which contained Alex’s drawing and potentially the evidence we needed. I heard the bag tightly throughout the time, afraid that it might disappear or someone would come to steal it from me. I needed to speak with Blue as soon as possible and I went into the shower for a long bath to calm my tired nerves. I got out of the shower and dried my hair when I noticed something was missing. I looked around and the bag was nowhere to be found. I started to panic. Had someone broken into my house when I was bathing? I quickly searched the entire house when I saw Nathan, my younger brother holding the paper in his hands and the other scattered on the ground.“Nathan, what are you doing ?” I shouted at him which startled him. He turned to look at me and immediately he saw my angry expression and said “I am so sorry Emily,” he asked. “What the hell is wrong with you,” I scolded, while arranging all the paper together

EMILY’S POV. “Don’t even try to lie to me, Emily, I have known you long enough to know when something is bothering you,” Veronica replied, looking at me intensely.“Nothing is on my mind. I am fine,” I responded while wiping my hands dry. “Is it about Alex, because if it is, you know you can talk to me,” I responded. The mention of Alex, felt like she put a dagger through my heart and I could feel the intensity of the pain I had been trying so desperately to avoid and I started crying again. Veronica walked up to me and started hugging me and patting my back. “Is okay sweetie?” he whispered into my ears as I cried into her shoulders, “let it all out?” I sobbed uncontrollably into her arms for what felt like forever. “I don't know if I would ever stop to feel this pain?” I sniffed and I lifted myself from her warm hug to look at her. “I don't know if this pain would ever go away, Veronica. It hurt too much,”“I understand you,” she said as she tucked a loose strand of my hair be
