I stretched under the soft covers when I got startled by a figure standing in front of my bed. My heart raced as I quickly sat up, and there he was.

“Alpha Troy,” I said as I managed to compose myself, my heart still racing. He offered a faint smile. "Good morning, Blue."

“What the actual fuck.” I cursed. “Is this how you welcome people here? Walking into their room without any warning?”

“You were sleeping so peacefully, I did not want to disturb you.”

“ Then you should have waited outside this room.” I frowned.

He nodded at the possibility “Yes, I suppose I could have. But I thought you looked too adorable, sleeping with your mouth open and drooling.”

“You are unbelievable,” I muttered, feeling a flush of color rise to my cheeks.

“ So why are you here?" I asked.

“ I wanted to talk to you personally before I leave for my duties.”

“ About what?”

“ Well since you will be staying with us for the time being, I want to make sure you are properly settled in, there is no point in treating you like a prisoner.”

I raised an eyebrow, considering his words.

“Technically, I am a prisoner because I am still confined within your territory.”

He nodded and continued.

“True. But I have arranged for some things to make your stay more comfortable. Mary has put together a list of items that she thinks you might need, and they should arrive today. Of course, if there is anything else you need, do not hesitate to let me know.”

“ Why are you doing all this?” I asked suspiciously.

“ You are my guest and I have to see to it that you are alright.”

“ alright“ I answered as I watched him leave the room

A few hours later, the door creaked open, revealing Mary with a friendly smile. "Hello, Blue," she greeted warmly. I guess people in this pack have never heard of knocking, I thought quietly to myself.

“Hey, Mary, how are you?” I asked.

“I'm fine,” Mary said, stepping further into the room “ I have been looking for you, you do know you are not confined to the four walls of this room ?”

“ I'm aware, your alpha already told me that, I just prefer my room” I answered.

She waved a dismissive hand. “I was wondering if you would like to join me on a little outing.”

“An outing? To where?”

“I need to buy a few things to bake, and I thought it would be great if you would join me and maybe we can even grab a treat or two,” she announced excitedly.

Seeing how happy she was I just could not say no to her so I nodded in agreement.

“I will come with you,” I said.

“Awesome” She clapped her hands together. "It will be our little adventure.”

Mary and I strolled through the busy market, she guided me through the different kiosks, picking out the different ingredients we needed for the cupcakes. I was a novice in the kitchen and never had to bake or cook before, so this was a new experience for me.

Once we finished baking, Mary explained to me that she needed to pick up her son from school and would return tomorrow to collect the cupcakes so I should check on them until they are ready. She plans to give them to her son's teacher for her birthday. As Mary left, I settled down in the cozy living room, planning to rest for a little while.

I woke up to the sound of Troy's voice.

“What is burning?” Troy asked.

I jolted awake, realizing that I had forgotten about the cupcakes in the oven. I ran to the kitchen and was met with the sight of badly burnt cupcakes.

Troy walked into the kitchen, his brows furrowing as he noticed the burnt cupcakes on the countertop. He glanced at me with a confused expression.

“What happened here?” he asked.

I sighed, feeling embarrassed. “I forgot to check on them and now they are all burnt.”

Troy leaned against the counter trying hard not to laugh and I felt even more embarrassed.

“I don't even know how to bake. Mary wanted to make cupcakes for her son's teacher, and now she will be disappointed” I cried.

“ It's not the end of the world. We can always make another one.” he chuckled.

“Do you know how to bake? Because clearly, I don't,” I stated.

He smirked and walked over to a nearby cabinet, pulled out an apron. I could not help but notice how incredibly attractive he was wearing that apron, his biceps were so attractive, I wanted to rub on them.

“ Hey, my eyes are up here,” he smirked.

“ Don’t flatter yourself, there is a big spider on your shirt” I lied.

“ Where?” Troy screamed, turning around in circles looking for it. His reaction was priceless and I could not hold back my laughter.

“ I never knew this powerful Alpha was scared of spiders” I teared up with laughter.

“ Don’t joke with me or I might leave you to bear Mary’s wrath .” he scolded playfully.

“ Okay, big guy, I'm sorry.”

As he gathered the ingredients, he glanced at me. “You know, baking is not always about getting it perfect. My grandmother used to tell me that it's about the joy you find in the process, the memories you make.”

“This was very heart-touching,” I responded, placing my hand over my chest and widening my eyes dramatically.

He rolled his eyes at me and started working. He still shared tips and tricks he remembered from his grandmother anyways.

We had a good time together, but I needed to remind myself of my purpose here. I did not come here to get to know him and have fun. I am here to avenge my father for what the Redmoon pack did to him, and I cannot afford to be distracted. However, spending time in the house or with Mary will not help me gather the information I need. As soon as we were done with the cupcakes, I had an idea.

“ Alpha Troy” I began

“ Just call me Troy.”

“ Since you are already aware that I'm not good at cooking, why don't I follow you to work?” I asked

“Why?” he asked, raising one of his eyebrows.

“Mary told me earlier that you train people and who knows maybe you can help me find my wolf,” I answered softly.

“ And why should I trust you?” he asked.

“ I can't expect you to trust me, given our relationship but you would be able to keep a better watch on me there with you than me staying in the pack house,” I replied sheepishly.

He seemed to consider it for a while. “Okay, but if you try anything stupid I will not hesitate to punish you.”

Chapter 138 – Blue’s POVThe world outside felt eerily calm as we prepared to set out. Emily’s sobs echoed in my mind as I stood by the window, staring into the night. It was the calm before the storm—a silence that weighed heavily on all of us.Troy’s presence beside me was steadying. He placed a hand on my shoulder, his grip firm and reassuring. “We’ll get him back, Blue. We’ll bring Nathan home.”I nodded, steeling myself. “And we’ll finally end this madness.”Emily sat nearby, her face pale and drawn, clutching the last remnants of hope she had. Her brother’s life hung in the balance, and we couldn’t fail.Troy stepped forward, the sword from his uncle’s chest now sheathed at his side. “This might be more than just saving Nathan. If Emily’s right, this man—the one behind all of this—could be tied to the secrets of the cult. He might even be the one who’s been orchestrating the attacks against our pack.”I swallowed hard, the weight of his words sinking in.“You don’t think…?” I he

TROY’S POV.I opened the door letting Blue inside. It was the room where my dad had kept some of his possessions before he died. I have not been inside here for a while and I felt nostalgic.“What are we doing here?” Blue asked, “You never wanted me in this room,” “Yep but I think it’s important now,” I said walking to where there was a pile of boxes, and underneath was an old wooden chest. I removed all the boxes out of my way and brought out a sword from it, carved by the finest blacksmith, and showed it to Blue. “What’s that got to do with anything,” Blue asked, placing both hands on her side.“It belongs to my uncle,” I said. “ Okay, and? Do you intend to use it to fight off the enemies? Because we have to know who they are before we can fight them.” “Look,” I said while showing Blue the fine craft design embedded on the swords. “You see what is written here?” Blue eyes widen in surprise as she reads the words “Deep in the assay,”“Exactly,” I answered proudly and carefully

  • Bound by the moonlight.   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN.

EMILY’S POV. Humming a turn mindlessly, I strolled along the lonely part leading to my house. It was a shortcut that I had not used in a while but today I decided to take that lane because I was exhausted and needed to rest. While walking I noticed an unusual sound and I turned around to see a man standing beside me. He was wearing all black and wore a mask too, so I could only see a part of his face. “Hey, “ I said trying to hide my fear, it was strange to see another person walking in the same lane because it's usually quiet and nobody uses it as much. He did not say anything, so I kept walking fast and trying to be on high alert. The man eventually caught up with him. At this point, the hair on the back of my neck was standing and I did not know if to run or pretend to be brave. So I choose the latter.“Are you sure you did not take anything from that room,” he asked.“What are you talking about?” I asked, walking faster, trying to get away from this creep. “You know exactly

BLUE’S POV. I went upstairs to tend to my crying babies. I entered the room to find Troy was already there, gently rocking one of the babies side by side and whispering soothing words to both of our little ones. I placed my hands on his shoulder, thankful for his help before going to carry the other baby to breastfeed.I settled into the nearby rocking chair, cradling our second baby close, and chuckled softly. “They like having a lot of attention, don’t they?”He nodded, his gaze shifting between our babies. “They do,” he said, and then smiling softly, he continued ” They are just like their mama, always wanting all of my attention,”“What do you mean?” I pouted, “I definitely do not disturb like this kids,”“Whatever you say, darling, whatever you say,” he responded and kissed my forehead. “They took after their father, not me,” I protested. “I was a sweet little girl growing up and never cried over nothing,” I said proudly.“Even that statement sounds like a lie,” he said cockil

BLUE’S POV.“Hi, what brought you here, this early? I hope you are okay,” I said to Emily as soon as I walked into the office where she was. I noticed she seemed uncomfortable and bothered about something.“Good morning, Blue,” she greeted, “I am sorry for disturbing you but there is something that I need you to see,” “What is that ?” I asked, curious.“It does not look like much at first sight but I think it holds the answers we have been looking for and hopefully it will help us trace the people who experimented on Alex,” Emily said, then unzipped her backpack and brought out some drawings with strange drawing and a green book which looked like something I have seen before. “Where did you get that book from?” I asked while pointing at it. “My brother gave it to me, he said Alex had lent it to him before his death,” she paused studying my reaction, and then continued, “At first glance, it looks like it has nothing to do with anything that has been happening lately and just any regu
