After my incredibly successful eye surgery we had to postpone the shopping trip, much to Allison’s disappointment. I was to stay in dark areas, resting my eyes for three days. But when we did finally get to shop Allison footed the bill while picking out many different outfits. She had me try on several, who knew shopping with a girlfriend could be so fun! Next was the make up and she chose several eye shadow palettes, lip glosses and lip liners, mascara, eye liner, etc. Hair products were confusing as hell and I was extremely grateful to have Allison there. Jewelry and purses came after that, I wasn’t really a jewelry person but Allison insisted and required me to pierce my ears. Last were the shoes, she chose several heels starting with a small chunky one and going all the way up to a stiletto! I was sure I’d never have the balls to wear them. We had several bags from the mall for the both of us and ended the trip with soft pretzels and cheese. I was sure I’d never had so much fun in my entire life. “Ok, fashion 101, never, and I mean never! Wear red and pink together, it is the worst kind of clash babygirl, let me tell ya.” Allison started when we got back to the room. And for the next day she explained ins and outs of fashion. After that she showed me how to apply make up on an almost professional level. She was amazing. I learned so much about her over those couple of weeks before the first day of classes, and I didn’t hold out either. I told her all about Davis, my parents, Riley, Aleah, the car accident, and my revelations. I met her twin brother, Carlton, also. I quickly learned that he was gay, and he really was very sweet and even helped with the fashion pep talks. I learned that they were a close-knit family, and they decided that I would be their unofficial adopted sister, and to hell with everyone else, except Davis who they were very eager to meet, especially Carlton, though I made it clear that Davis was straight. “They all are at first honey.” He waved his hand at me with a grin when I pointed that out. My physical transformation was incredible, who knew that some make up and clothes could change so much? They also insisted that I stop hiding my ‘opulent’ hair. I giggled at them profusely, but with the hair products, my usually dry hair was shiny, my natural blond highlights throughout the light brown color were easily distinguishable, and it was wavy going to my lower back. I knew my hair was long, but I always kept it up in that bun and didn’t pay any particular attention to it. Looking in the mirror before orientation that day made me feel like a queen. I had decided to wear a green sleeveless top that matched my eye color, and my cleavage was not lacking, with a black waist belt, and completed the outfit with sleek black jeans. “Oh girl, you are totally rocking that!” Allison gushed. “Riley will be so sorry for missing out!” I smiled. “Thanks Allison.” “Ready for the heels?” I sighed. I had been practicing as she instructed, and yes I was able to walk in heels now without falling, but it was still a little wobbly. I nodded my head and she brought out a pair of black heels, not the stiletto's thankfully, but they were at least four inches, and it was not a bulky heel this time! “Remember, it is all in the confidence! If you think you can do it, you will do it!” She had said that many times and I believed her. I slipped them on and took a couple of deep breaths, thankful that she was standing there for me to put my arm on while I got the shoes on. “Alright.” I smiled at the extra inches the heels provided. “By the way, did I mention how well that smoky eye effect goes with your outfit!” She sighed dramatically. “The student learns well!” I laughed with her. I soaked in everything she was willing to teach me about this, and I had to agree with her that I was catching on well. “Allarah will be the best duo this college has ever seen!” Allarah was the nickname she had adopted for us, a mix of our two names thrown together. “Alright Sam, you ready for orientation?” She smiled brightly. The orientation at TSU was a big event for every student, even those in their final year. They go over every aspect of what is expected at the school, in classes, as well as anything else pertinent to the students. Afterwards they hold a function and require at least first years, or freshmen, to attend, though everyone is welcome to mingle. It is to provide camaraderie and ensure good social relations to start the first semester of college. The school strives to have everyone represent the school well, and that includes a strict no violence policy, and no shifting during class. They are highly against shifting during class time, they do allow us to shift outside of class to stretch our paws when needed though. And the fact that classes are held only three days of the week, or four if necessary for a lecture, makes it much easier to get time to stretch paws or work. We made it to an extremely large outdoor seating arena without me falling and I counted that as success! There were quite a few students present already, they said their hellos and we sat down on the bottom row of the bleachers. Students filed up, gradually filling up the bleachers. I recognized a couple of people, such as Damor Persnal, he was Riley’s best friend, and the son of the beta for Hammerstorm Pack. There was also Sloan Drake, Moonriver’s gamma was her mother, Fiona. She planned to follow in her mother’s footsteps and be a future gamma I was sure. A gamma was second to Beta’s in a pack, and they helped with strategy meetings. I definitely didn’t miss when Riley walked up with his arm around Aleah’s waist. My heart was hammering, I was sure that I was over him and over the sting his betrayal left on my heart, but seeing him after more than a month made me feel light headed. “Is that him?” Allison asked. I only nodded. “You’re way better looking than that she-wolf!” I smiled appreciatively. “Well you certainly look better than the last time I saw you.” The voice was strangely familiar and I looked up to see Nicholas?Samantha“You’re a cheeky little shit, aren’t you?” I wrapped my hand around his neck and squeezed just a bit. I chuckled darkly. “Kill the rest, he’s going to help us get our property back. His eyes widened as the rest of his companions were slaughtered right in front of him. “I said—” he began to splutter, and I smacked him harshly.“You said your death would make the news public. You are alive. And do you honestly believe I would let these little friends of yours live, knowing what they know?” I scoffed, “I’m not daft.”“How do I know you won’t kill me and my other friend the moment you have Lykanthrope?”“You don’t. As it is, we need a test subject, and we have a deal. I don’t go back on my word.” I pushed him back as I let my hand drop from his throat. “Now, let us go find your special friend.”As it happened, his friend was nearby. Within walking distance even. ‘I think enough tweaks with Lykanthrope could force loyalty from anyone.’ Ansel mind linked me.‘He’s right, a couple
SamanthaIt was silent when we reached the abandoned factory, eerie. It didn’t bother me though, I would kill every last one of them if I needed to in order to get the schematics of Lykanthrope back. Sting was the absolute worst group to have access to something of this magnitude. All of Silverclaw was with me, as well as our sworn Barriers and 8 warriors that had shown the most promising growth since our retreat in Apalachicola. Draegon, Ashton, Venus, Stevie, Jeverah, Allen, Pope, and Thella. After the fiasco with her brother, Jeverah made many strides to prove herself loyal, and became stronger.Ashton, under Carlton’s wing, had gotten better since then also, and tonight, he was being tested. They all were. The evening sky was dancing with its colors, marking the end of the day. I had hoped Sting would be winding down, ending their day.The fact that some of their men were captured, meant I had little time before they attempted to move their location, or dispose of my property. I w
SamanthaIt was moments before the cameras would begin rolling as we announced our global transition. My nerves were rolling, Ansel was hot on the trail for the Sting group, working closely with the police investigation, and I was sure we would have information soon. Though it didn’t stop my mind from wandering to what they may or may not have figured out about Lykanthrope. As Angel instructed, and Damon, I was presenting a solid face for my position as the reporters got ready. We stood in front of Silverclaw Enterprise headquarters at the top of the staircase. Carlton and Daniel were with Ansel, so it was me, Damon, Angel, and Vienna. There was a ribbon to be cut in front of us, and a very large audience. Being mindful of the fact that not only werewolves would see the broadcast, we ensured our words would fit with human society. And we certainly made technological advances for humans as well so we did not draw attention.Elixir 2.0 was our main focus for this though. “Thank you a
Samantha“Sex?” Nick’s voice was even more confused than when we had begun.“When you take the Silverclaw oath, and name the family as yours, you have a very strong desire to be with Samantha, and her you.” Angel explained. “We had no idea at the time, she was messing with some chemicals and tech, managed to change her blood, even her very core. A blood oath was to give me similar abilities, and it did…but it did more than that.”Each of the Silverclaw members chuckled at Nick’s expression. He looked at Damon and Carlton. “But you’re both gay.”“Oh not for the first week after we became Silverclaw honey.” Damon answered and we all began laughing some more.“Even though you had mates?” Nick’s eyes were incredulous. “You brought them that pain of…of the betrayal?” He tried wrapping his mind around the concept, we could all tell.“That doesn’t happen with this.” Daniel took up the explanation. “After the bloodletting part of the oath, we actually become a more unified being. Our minds me
SamanthaCarlton laughed and slapped Nick on the back. “It’s quite a bit more than just a blood oath buddy.”“So I’ve heard.” Nick answered wryly. “And seen.” He looked at me pointedly.I sighed. He really wasn’t going to let this go.“Bro, you haven’t seen anything yet.” Ansel took another swig of his beer before continuing. “Silverclaw isn’t your typical wolf, on a larger scale than you think.”“Then tell me. What’s the big secret? What makes you guys so close and so special? You guys are closer to each other and to Samantha than anyone else, even though you have mates, I can see you’re each bonded closely. Especially to Sam.”Vienna looked uneasily around at everyone. “Nick, this isn’t something we can talk about here.” Her voice was hushed. “Becoming Silverclaw and its ins and outs are saved for a discussion with those we seriously consider allowing to join. If they choose that it isn’t worth it, they are turned away with the assurance they speak to no one about what it entails.”
SamanthaNick’s words stunned me into silence as I looked him in the eye. My world seemed to spin. How could he want to be Silverclaw?“Nick…you would have to denounce Dragonmoon…you’d never be the alpha of your pack. You’ve been groomed to take it over by Serburi.”“I know all of that. But you’re more of an alpha than I ever was Samantha. Silverclaw is important to me, I love you as much as the rest of your Silverclaw family.”“Nick, you don’t understand what you’re asking. Not really. Becoming Silverclaw changes us…” I faltered for the words to say. There were so many things that came with taking on the blood oath, much different than anyone could experience with any other oath bond.“Alpha,” Draegon came up to me and Nick before Nick could reply. He bowed deeply. “May I have this dance?”During my conversation with Nick, the music had taken a bit of a slower turn, in my eagerness to stop the conversation with Nick I agreed. Setting my beer on the table nearest to me, I let Draegon
