Thank God Kai doesn’t walk to that monster bike; instead, he comes to a stop in front of a beautiful sleek black sports car. He walks over to my side and opens the door for me, then smacks my behind before I can even sit down. I let out a yelp as I sit down, and when I look at him, he winks and closes the door. Naughty bastard.

After that, we were off.

The drive to the estate took about two hours. I’ve never driven in comfortable silence with anyone, but with Kai, it came naturally.

“So who all lives on this estate?” I ask, turning my head towards the driver’s seat. “The elders, young pups, Betas who aren’t as tough and bloodthirsty as the ones which run at my flank. It’s a community of about 500+ people, but I see them all as my family, the ones I am sworn to protect.” He says as he watches the road. 500+ people?!

That is like a small town! I have never known packs to be this huge; they might just be the largest wolf
