Thank God Kai doesn’t walk to that monster bike; instead, he comes to a stop in front of a beautiful sleek black sports car. He walks over to my side and opens the door for me, then smacks my behind before I can even sit down. I let out a yelp as I sit down, and when I look at him, he winks and closes the door. Naughty bastard.
After that, we were off.
The drive to the estate took about two hours. I’ve never driven in comfortable silence with anyone, but with Kai, it came naturally.
“So who all lives on this estate?” I ask, turning my head towards the driver’s seat. “The elders, young pups, Betas who aren’t as tough and bloodthirsty as the ones which run at my flank. It’s a community of about 500+ people, but I see them all as my family, the ones I am sworn to protect.” He says as he watches the road. 500+ people?!

Caterina It’s been three days, and Kai has been in and out of the penthouse without so much as a word uttered to me. I was beginning to feel as lonely here as I did back home with no one to talk to but my wolf, who was yearning for Kai. Caterina Viktor removes a set of keys from his jeans pocket and unlocks the massive oak doors. When we entered, I was seriously expecting a cloud of dust to assault my nose, but there was none. The place was impeccably kept as if it was waiting for its masters to return. The decor showed class and elegance, with every piece of art and furniture painstakingly chosen to compliment the other. Caterina I lost Viktor after a couple of runs around the forest. He’s way faster than I am and is basically a blur when he runs; it didn’t help that I didn’t familiarise myself with his scent either. After a while, I gave up and wandered off on my own. I hear the sounds of a lake and make my way towards it, sniffing the air and listening for any sounds, but when I walk up to the lake, I freeze in my steps.
