Nightmare

Ethan's POV

A rare sense of serenity surrounds me as I enter my bedroom. Not to get me wrong,I love Nana's company, but not with her daughter and family around. Not to mention that 'woman' who appeared at dinner. I never expected such drama to happen, and I can feel a slight ache in my temples just thinking about it.

I am in the middle of taking off my shirt when the door opens, and I turn instinctively to see Avery standing at the door.

A strange sensation spreads in my chest, and I fight off the smile that is already making its way to my lips. "Are you waiting for me to tell you to come in first?"
