Robyn stared blankly at the screen on the phone in her hands. There was almost a tenth message in a span on three days since she had renewed her phone. This one was harsher and longer than the previous ones.
She had ignored the first two then tried to trace the number. Tony told her it was an unregistered number. Then another number texted her, each day there was a new number. They were all mean messages and who ever was sending them was trying to make her lose her self confidence.
*Why are you being a burden to others? No one loves you. They feel sorry for you.*
The current message had said. She was itching to tell whoever was at the other end that they were a coward and stupid. She knew it was better to just ignore whoever it was and maybe they would give up. She had been living at her grandparents' old home with both her brothers and Rudy the housekeeper. Ella was now living at the Hachi reside
The face staring back at him in the mirror taunted him. He was indeed stupid. How could he not have seen the signs sooner? He was indeed pathetic. The image of a disappointed Robyn crossed his mind and he visibly cringed. The last thing he wanted was to do that to hurt her.It had all started the day they arrived when his assistant had insisted on getting the room opposite his at the hotel. He paid no attention to that. He thought she just felt safe. Then almost near mid night she had knocked on his door claiming she had lost her phone and he had to help her. She was trying to touch him every chance he got and he still ignored it.He did not know how she had gotten into his room. He woke up to someone kissing him and he had kissed back! As if on clock mode, something didn't feel right about the kiss and so he had opened his eyes."Mary?! What the hell are you doing?" He had shouted."Don't fight it. Just let m
Robyn knew she had to do it. She had to leave Beau for a while till they figured out who was behind all those messages. She would be strong if it meant keeping Beau safe even if leaving him was the most painful thing she had to do. She needed to make it as real as possible. The videos and bill sent to her email by Mary hurt her but not as much as leaving Beau and also knowing a part if him did not trust her.She then wondered if Mary was the person who sent all those hateful messages. She switched off her phone and left the laptop. She needed to go somewhere where she could rest and figure out her next move. Whoever was sending those messages knew a lot about her and Beau. But Mary was not conniving enough to threaten her behind a screen. It had to be someone else."We're here" Drew said snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up to admire the view and almost cried when she saw the w
Beau was ecstatic. He felt all the frustrations of the past three days leave him. Robyn still loved him and all was right with the world again. Their relationship was not doomed after all and he planned to keep it that way."I assume by the foolish grin on your face it went well." Colin said as soon as he climbed back into the car."Hell yes brother. She still loves me.""Did you talk about it? Did you tell her you went to see Kiara?""Yes and I think Drew already told her.""Did you sort it out then?""Yes Col, we did.""Good. Don't screw up again""Cross my heart.""Let's go. I have to get some sleep and be at work by ten." Colin said and they left.He propped himself into bed with a smile in his face as soon as they got to Colin's house. The next
Robyn walked into the interrogation room with Detective Brown in tow. The room was dimly lit, with grey painted walls which was wearing off. The metallic chairs looked like they could use a rest.Craig brightened up when he saw her and sat up straight. He was grinning like a Cheshire cat. Robyn wanted to ask why he was excited that she was there but thought better of it.She sat down slowly and very calmly. Craig's head was cleanly shaven which in a way made his face look smaller."Hello Robyn. You look good." He said smiling."Craig Kirk. You look....older." Robyn said calmly.Craig withdrew a little as if surprised that she said that. "You remember me?" He whispered."Of course. You poured mop water in me in our freshman year."Craig gasped as the detective gave her a raised brow."That was not intentional you know.""I know
Colin stood outside Tara's apartment muffins and coffee in hand. He knocked on the door and she opened it smiling. She hugged him a long time."I take it you missed me too.""It's for the muffins...." Tara said laughing. "I really did miss you.""Let's have breakfast then we can talk about the other things.""I don't wanna talk.....""What do you want to do then?""Eat and then do this..." She said kissing him again. "And some more of this.." She kissed him again."That sounds like a plan.""Good thing it's my day off."They had breakfast and watched a movie. It was a good way to distract him from his father's threats. They had told him if he wanted he could sell his shares and not the whole company."I have the most shares so I can do so." James had said."No, Colin has the
The chlorine like taste in her mouth made her double over and throw up. She opened her eyes and she was in a dark room. Her hands and feet were bound and her pyjamas were dirty like she had been dragged on the ground."I know it's you Kiara, show your face you coward!" She shouted."Oh good. The little whiny bird is awake. How was nap time?" Kiara said mocking her."I wouldn't know, seems like you drugged me.""That I did.....""What's this about? Money?"Kiara laughed like she had just been told the best joke in the universe. "Oh goodness no. Hey B, she thinks it's about money!"Someone laughed and slowly walked towards her turning on the light. "You people are really snobby aren't you." He said.Robyn would know that voice and stupid face anywhere. Brett."Arg. It's you, blurr face.""Oh I forgot
Drew left the hospital at four in the morning. His night shift had ended and if he was being honest, he did not enjoy it that much. He was worried about Robyn. She was not talking or dealing with the whole incident properly. She had done that before, she had withdrawn from everything and almost everyone. She was probably worried about what Kat's family would do or say about it all. He needed to help her deal with all that otherwise she would be depressed again. He got to his parent's house and parked the car. He went into the kitchen and saw Robyn on the bench in the garden. She was staring off into space like she had done when she had lost the pregnancy. He grabbed a mug and filled it with warm milk and went to her."The garden is so fascinating." He said handing her the mug. She turned smiling at him and taking the mug."Thank you. When did you get here?"
Beau run faster on the track. He wanted to get away from everything that was suddenly making him angry. He knew he had to face her and tell her to her face how much he despised what she had done to his fiancée.His heartbeat became so erratic and he slowed down and sat down. His mind was cleared now. He just had to get over it soon. Before he went back to work, he had to clear all this from him.He had gone back to his house and was hoping Robyn would move in with him very soon. He needed to take care of her and not let anything else happen to her. He was going to love her harder and not give up on their love no matter what. Like she had done for him.He got up from the bench he was sitting on and watched the sun rise. Robyn had taught him to appreciate sunsets, sunrises,a full moon,a starry sky and a dark one. She even loved the rain. She always found a bright side to everything.H
