Chapter Twenty
The hot water cascaded down his body lightly relaxing his tensed up body. He imagined it washing away his stress. Drew had been in a slump lately and he hoped his three days off would get him the rest he needed.
He had almost lost his favorite person in the whole world, his sister recently. His superior had made a near fatal mistake on one of his patients who luckily survived and his family had no choice to give in to a madman's demands.
He thought about Ella, she had apologized to him for what happened. They were talking more lately. Tara must have rubbed her the wrong way to make her a little jealous. Drew was thankful for Tara's brevity to flirt with him openly. He did not want her apology though, he wanted her in his arms, his fingers tracing gentle lines in her hair as she giggled.
