Chapter Ten

Noah’s POV

The sound emanating from my chest was more of a growl than a groan. It was like my pain was caught between my two sides; the human and the wolf side. I did not know what to do. My wolf was starting to go crazy and I did not like it. I knew it was only a matter of time before I turned rogue. A rogue alpha was a danger to his people. These people needed to trust me enough to tell me their troubles. They could not do that when I was in a state of madness.

The thought of Hazel was driving me crazy. She was near yet still so far, out of my reach. I wanted her with the intensity of fire and the fierceness of a storm. One thing was hindering me from seeking her out though; I was afraid of being rejected and humiliated. If only I could get an assurance that she would not reject me again, I would have already gone to her.

“Alpha, your water.” A voice called out.
