LOGINJulian's POV
At the Altar, chaos erupted.
A pickpocket crashed into the security line.
Kierra let out a gasp, falling into my arms.
My phone fell and was instantly crushed by the crowd.
"Julian, I'm so sorry about your phone..." Kierra bit her lip.
"It's fine. I'll get another one," I said flatly.
Anyway, that phone was used to contact Aria.
It was filled with messages from her.
Those messages were nothing but annoying.
When we returned to the villa, Lara was chirping about when Kierra would move in.
Isaac, though a bit hesitant about the "Candy Land" Kierra promised, seemed on board.
"Kierra has high-level healing magic," I said. "She knows more about bloodline conditioning than your mother."
I was sure that Aria would be back.
She was just throwing a tantrum.
But when I opened the master bedroom door, there was no one.
On the nightstand, her wedding ring sat under the moonlight.
What the...?
I felt a bit agitated.
Another stunt?
Did she leave her signet ring just to get my attention?
"Move Aria's stuff to the storage room," I shouted at the butler.
"Clear the room out. Kierra is moving in."
...
High above the city, in the penthouse of the Iron Claw Group.
I stared out at the skyline, my mind miles away from the reports on my desk.
My phone buzzed—the butler again.
"I don't need updates on her. She's just making a scene and wants my attention," I said, cutting him off before he could utter another word about Aria.
This was just another one of her clumsy little dramas.
I knew her better than she knew herself.
She would never leave the pups behind.
She was too meek and weak.
"Tantrums shouldn't be indulged," I muttered after hanging up, my eyes as cold as frost.
I was intentionally giving her a lesson.
I wanted her to understand that, without me, that "sweetness" she was so proud of was worthless.
In a world of wolves, only the strong survive, and she needed to realize where her protection came from.
I waited for her to text me back and beg for forgiveness.
But it never happened.
...
After work, I returned home.
The orderly life Aria had built was quietly falling apart.
"Isaac, Lara, no more sweets!" The nutritionist frowned at the table full of desserts.
"Luna Aria left strict orders. Too much sugar triggers the pain from your wolf-soul fluctuations."
Lara tossed her head back defiantly. "Mommy missed her check-in call! If she's not here, she can't boss me around!"
Kierra sipped her coffee elegantly, letting out a soft, sugary laugh.
"That's right. She's too strict on you. Kids should enjoy candies."
"Kierra is the best! I wish she were our Luna!" the pups cheered, diving into the whipped cream.
The nutritionist wanted to argue but stopped.
But then, she looked at Kierra and said nothing more.
In the dead of night, the silence of the manor was pierced by a sharp, agonizing scream.
The nursery was in chaos.
Lara was curled up in her velvet blankets, her face pale and slick with cold sweat, suffering from violent stomach spasms brought on by the sugar overload.
"Daddy... Is Mommy punishing my tummy because I didn't listen?" Lara gasped, clutching my sleeve with trembling hands.
"Mommy said if I don't listen to her, I'll get punished... Call Mommy, tell her to take the hex away..."
Kierra sat there, her eyes red.
"Julian, I'm so sorry, I just wanted them to be happy..."
"Don't blame Kierra!" Lara barked, even while shivering in pain.
"It's Mommy's fault! She forgot to call and remind me! She doesn't care about me at all..."
I looked down at my daughter and felt a sudden, heavy sinking in my gut.
Something was wrong. Very wrong.
I pulled out my phone and dialed Aria's number, expecting her to pick up on the first ring like she always did.
"The number you have reached has been disconnected."
That was impossible.
She always stayed on call. Always!
Isaac sniffled beside me.
"Daddy, why won't Mommy pick up? Does she... really not want us anymore?"
I couldn't answer him.
In that moment, across the Mate Bond that I never cared for, I felt a sudden, hollow ache—like a dull blade slowly carving out my chest.
Across the bond, there was nothing but a cold, echoing silence.
A few days had passed.
I stepped into our master suite, expecting the familiar scent that I always diffused to welcome me home.
Instead, the air was dead.
The room had been stripped of her essence.
No oils, no herbs, no warmth.
A strange, jagged ache bloomed in my chest, and my wolf began to pace restlessly, searching for the Omega who alone could quiet my inner storm.
"She's really gone," Isaac whispered from the doorway. He looked small and cold, shivering without the safety net of her scent to anchor him.
But Lara, clinging to Kierra's hand, pointed toward the empty vanity.
"Daddy, since Mommy isn't here to make the house smell good anymore, can Kierra move into her room? Kierra also smells great. It's way better than Mommy's scent."
A sudden, sharp spike of irritation flared within me.
"Fine," I snapped, the words tasting like ash.
"If she doesn't want her place in this pack, someone else will take it!"
The Third Person's POVWhether Julian did it or not, Aria didn't care about it anymore....Kierra was losing her mind.Inside her private trailer on the movie set, she shattered her glass against the floor."What the hell do I pay you guys for?!" Kierra shrieked at her PR team, her long manicured nails digging into the wooden surface of her vanity."You've had dinners with the executives from Moonlight Co., and for what? Absolutely nothing! Now they are out there publicly clearing Aria's name! They must be a bunch of idiots!"Her manager's face was grim.He glanced nervously toward the trailer door. "Kierra, watch your tone! Someone might hear you. We've already done some digging. They didn't just defend Aria. They've also decided on their global brand ambassador."Kierra's eyes snapped wide open, her chest heaving. "What? Who is it?!""It's Elena.""Elena?!" Kierra sprang to her feet, her breathing turned shallow. Her wolf scratched restlessly beneath her skin in sheer jealousy."Th
Aria's POVHer words left me completely stunned.A strange, warm sensation blossomed deep within my chest. My wolf slowly stopped her restless pacing, letting out a soft chuff.I swallowed the lump in my throat and forced my voice to remain steady."Thank you."Before ending the call, I made a firm promise, "I won't let Moonlight Co. down."The official interview was scheduled for three days later. To ensure everything went well, someone from their brand's PR team came over that afternoon.I took the list and prepared the questions they had prepared for me.With Moonlight Co.'s powerful backing, the tide on the internet began to turn. Most of the malicious allegations were gone.In return, I was determined to do my best on the interview. But amidst the triumph, I knew I had loose ends to tie.I made a mental note to head back to Julian's estate after work. I needed to retrieve my official Mate Bond certificate. If the situation escalated any further, that silver-stamped document would
Aria's POVThe crowd of fans scattered in panic as the guards chased them down the block. The head of security walked back over to me."Are you alright? Shall we take you to the hospital?"I forced a grateful smile. "Thanks, but I'm OK. Well, these people are irrational, and they may come back again. If they do, please let me know in advance."He nodded. "We will double our patrol shifts. This won't happen again. Next time you need to leave the building, just give us a call. We'll escort you to your ride.""Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."Because of this violent ambush, I was late for work.Although Jane warned everyone against gossiping, the air in the office was thick with curiosity. Their eyes were darting toward me the second I walked through the door. After the morning meeting, Livia stood near the exit, her arms crossed."Late on your second day of work?" she sneered, her voice dripping with mockery. "Honestly, if you can't handle the corporate life, maybe you shoul
Aria's POVThe internet had turned into a bloodthirsty colosseum.Every single troll was screaming at me, eagerly waiting to watch me burn.Yet, sitting in the quiet of my living room, I had never felt so strangely, chillingly calm. The wild tempest of my wolf had suddenly settled into a dark, focused stillness.I called Collin."Collin, about my rumors online. Don't let grandpa know it, OK? ""Yeah, sure thing. Don't worry about it," Collin said, his voice laced with anxiety."Aria, this is getting completely out of hand. Let me contact some tech guys. I'll get these trending hashtags scrubbed off the internet right now."I looked at the endless screen of toxic slurs."Thanks, but don't bother," I replied, my voice steady. "They are targeting me. Even if you take down one thread, Kierra's PR team will just fund ten more. They won't stop barking until they get what they want."Collin went silent.Right on cue, Kierra dropped a new update on her social media page.Kierra, "I'm OK, ever
Aria's POVLivia stared at him.She practically pushed her way through the whispering crowd. The cloying scent gave away her frantic excitement and hidden desperation.I let out a soft, mocking scoff.Taking a slow step backward, I willingly cleared the space and let her take center stage.Livia locked her eyes onto the billionaire Alpha. She lowered her voice, dripping it in a thick, seductive purr."So... What do you think?"Livia clearly wasn't gifted in design. But when it came to throwing herself at wealthy men, she seemed to have a terrifying gift.Unfortunately for her, Julian's face darkened until it looked demonic. He glared at Livia as if she were a piece of garbage stuck to his shoe."Who the hell are you?" Julian snarled, his voice a low, terrifying rumble that shook the air. "Move!"Livia's face went completely pale, her glossy lips trembling. But the sheer greed in her eyes kept her rooted to the spot."Please just think about it, Alpha Julian," she pleaded, her pheromon
Aria's POVJulian's name flared brightly on the screen.Ever since I walked out of that hospital room, I had never contacted him again. My wolf bared her fangs in my mind, giving a resentful growl. My pheromones spiked into a bitter chill.Without hesitation, I slid my thumb across the glass and hung up.Whatever he wanted to say to me, I had zero interest in hearing it.An hour later, I wrapped up my work and stepped out of the Silver Star Studio building. As I stepped out of the gate, I noticed a dense crowd gathered near the curb, whispering and pointing.Parked directly under the streetlights was a sleek, jet-black Rolls-Royce.My heart skipped a beat. The heavy, oppressive scent of bitter charcoal and smoke drifted through the air, suffocating the natural smells of the city.Julian.I pulled my coat tighter around my shoulders, ducking my head as I tried to blend into the others."Aria."His voice cut through the ambient noise like a blade. The entire crowd went stiff.Dozens of
Aria's POVWhen dawn broke, I opened my heavy eyes.I felt a sharp pain all over my body."Aria, you have a severe spiritual virus infection.""You came in time, or your wolf would be in danger. We tried to call your mate, but...""I see. Thank you," I forced a weak smile.I pulled my phone.More t
Aria's POVOn Sunday, I tried FaceTiming the pups.Through the screen, I saw Lara and Isaac clinging to Kierra's silk dress. They weren't in any hurry to see me.To them, I represented rules, health protocols, and quiet sighs; Kierra represented glamour, sweets, and indulgence."Aren't you guys exc
Aria's POVI watched my pups, Lara and Isaac, as they knelt before the statue of the Moon Goddess. Lara's voice drove steel needles into my ears."I hope Kierra becomes Daddy's real Luna," Lara whispered. "I hope they stay in love forever!"Kierra stood beside them, letting out a soft laugh. Her sl
Aria's POVIt was the third anniversary of my Mate Bond with Julian.I stood in his estate, rejected by my own twin pups for my "reeking Omega scent."And that lavish gala wasn't for me.It was for another woman....Three hours earlier, I was heading home early, battling a severe case of the flu.
