Author’s POV

Isabella let out a weary sigh, pressing a finger to the bridge of her nose as if she could physically push the headache away. “Alright, fine, I will pay for the damn blood bags,” she said, voice heavy with exhaustion. “But don’t stop treating my son. Don’t you dare give up on him now.” Her frown softened into a small, tired smile when she spotted her husband’s secretary approaching from the far end of the hallway, a man walking beside her.

Gunnar had promised they would arrive

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 226 HER HUSBAND

Author’s POV Ken paced the sterile hospital corridor like a caged animal, his polished shoes echoing against the tiled floor. His eyes remained fixed on the direction Daniel had disappeared, jaw tight, fingers twisting restlessly at his sides. Every second that passed without Amber felt like sand slipping through an hourglass he couldn’t stop. Leaving this place without her wasn’t an option. Not now. Not when the company was crumbling and the woman he loved lay unconscious somewhere behind these white walls. He yanked out his phone and dialed the company lawyer. The man answered on the first ring. "I know why you are calling, Ken,” the lawyer said, his voice heavy with exhaustion. “I have already been briefed. I can’t come to the hospital, I’m stuck at the company. Had to cancel our family camping trip and rush back. One minute I was roasting marshmallows with my kids, the next I’m buried in contracts when I would rather be—” “Who called you?” Ken cut in sharply, irri

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 225 TOO BOSSY

Author's POV Ken let out a deep sigh, leaning his back against the cold hospital wall. He rubbed his temples, glancing up at Daniel, debating whether it was his place to reveal what he suspected, that someone had tried to murder his sister. In the end, he decided against it. It wasn’t his place. “Um, I don’t know…” he began, but Daniel cut in immediately. “What do you mean you don’t know?” Daniel pressed, his voice sharp with worry and frustration. “I know my sister. She is not reckless enough to work with harmful chemicals without proper protection. She has been in this business for years, and nothing like this has ever happened before. So tell me straight, what really happened back at the office? Don’t hold back on me.” Ken rubbed the bridge of his nose, exhaling slowly. “It’s not that I don’t know, it’s complicated. We are still investigating, so I can’t say for sure yet. But I’m glad she is alright now. And I know it’s soon to say this, but she needs to wake up quickly. S

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 224 CRUEL 2

Author's POV Ken grunted under his breath as he eased Amber’s limp body onto the back seat of his sleek black sedan. Her head lolled slightly, so he cradled it with surprising gentleness, tucking a stray lock of brown hair behind her ear before straightening her legs. He adjusted her position one last time, then slid into the driver’s seat. Amber’s assistant climbed into the passenger side and fastened his seatbelt with a nervous grunt. When the assistant noticed Ken still staring at Amber through the rearview mirror, he snapped, “What are you waiting for, buddy? Drive! You can drool over her some other time! We need to get her to the hospital right now!” The words jolted Ken back to reality. He twisted the key in the ignition, started the engine, and sped out of the company gates, which opened automatically for him. Even as he drove, Ken couldn’t stop glancing at Amber in the mirror. He hadn’t realized how much he cared until this moment. The thought of her not breathin

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 223 CRUEL

Author's POV “I don’t know,” one nurse spoke up quickly, her voice shaky and uncertain as she squatted down to retrieve the discarded remote from under the mangled bed frame. “But I think he accidentally pressed the remote of the bed or something…” Mason frowned deeply, his brows knitting together in disbelief. The remote couldn’t possibly flip an entire hospital bed upside down. What kind of nonsense excuse was that? “Who is supposed to be taking care of him!” Mason half-yelled, his temper flaring as he glared at the doctors for an answer. The two doctors exchanged nervous glances. One of them looked down at the floor and pointed at himself. “I-It’s me,” he admitted quietly. Mason clenched his jaw so tightly they could see the muscle ticking. “You?! How could you let this happen? What if he dies?” He jabbed a finger toward the unconscious man on the floor. “Pull out the surveillance footage right now and find out who did this, because this sure as hell can’t be the fault of

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 222 THE SPY 4

Author's POV Amber could believe he would betray them, because long ago she had decided never to trust anyone again, never to expect the best, so she would always be prepared for the worst. She cleared her throat, her voice cold and commanding. “For now, I want you to send two trusted employees to his house to get him. Keep it under wraps, no drama, no noise. And until we have him, don’t go around telling people we have found the culprit. Who have you told so far?” Ken made a face, gears visibly turning in his head. “I… I have only told the chemical manager and the one at the lab. He stole information from him too. I didn’t want to spread it any further until we were sure.” "Good. Keep it that way,” Amber remarked, letting out a heavy sigh. “I want that piece of shit found and put behind bars. And I want to know exactly how much money he was offered to betray us, because it better have been worth it. Millions are on the line here, and I’m not about to let some greedy trait

  • Bully Me, Alpha   Chapter 221 THE SPY 3

Amber’s POV “Hey, Lovely, are you still listening to me?” Daniel’s voice pulled me out of my distracted thoughts. “Uh, yeah, I’m still listening,” I replied quickly. “But hell no, I’m not going on blind dates. I don’t have time for that, you know it’s not easy being a CEO. Between meetings, product launches, dealing with crises, and trying to keep everything from falling apart, I barely have time to breathe, let alone go out with strangers who probably just want my money or my name.” Daniel chuckled on the other end. “I know. That’s one of the reasons I’m fine being second-in-command at the hospital. I have seen the toll it takes on the director, sometimes he barely gets any sleep and shows up looking like a zombie..." He paused, taking a deep breath. "But that shouldn’t stop you from living your life or being a woman. You have to put yourself out there. I don’t want you ending up alone. So tell me, what do you think about Ken? He is a nice guy, and I heard he might have a crush
