Instead, I rested my arm on the arm rest and watched as she talked to her quirky best friend until the lead actor walked in.
The airline attendant walked by, refilling my drink before she made her way up to the front. I smiled as I took a sip. Maybe things would get better after this trip?
I wouldn’t have to keep taking care of Micheal. Wouldn’t have to work doubles to help him pay off his debts. I could put money into savings, or at least money into a better place closer to work.
Kane would probably let me crash on his couch for a day or two until I found something. He’s a softie and always been willing to help me out in the past. It had been that way since I started working at the bar.
The couple on screen did the stumbling through their meeting as he awkwardly flirted with her. It was painful to watch, I finished my drink before grabbing my bag from the empty seat beside me.
Before heading to his job, I’d grabbed us coffees and a few magazines to pass the time. I pulled out the trashy gossip magazine. Wanting to lose myself in the over the top drama for the flight.
I opened the cover and my heart dropped at the title, ‘Royal Wedding’ splayed across the front of it. A grand picture of a woman in a lavish gown, her dark hair pulled back away from her face as she smiled up at her groom. His reddish blonde hair cropped short as he lifted his hand to the surrounding crowd.
Sighing, I flipped past it, hoping for something, anything else to read. ‘He cheated’ the next article read, showing a shot of a dark haired actor holding hands with a blonde woman in a skimpy silver dress as they snuck out of a club.
Damn cheaters, at least this one didn’t make my heart hurt. I could understand his actress girlfriend’s pain.
Men sucked.
And not in a good way.
My drink was filled again as I flipped through the magazine again. My head felt floaty and the pain was muted.
I tossed the magazine into the chair beside me, silently watching the movie. I didn’t need to put in the headphones to know what was coming. Closing my eyes, leaned my head back.
Why couldn’t I find something like in the movies?
The flight didn’t take long at all and before I knew it we were landing. I made my way out of the plan and into the terminal. Letting out a long sigh as I shifted my carry on in my hand and moved out of the airport to flag down a taxi. Once I was in the taxi, I told the driver the address to the hotel and looked out the window. Watching the scenery change as we drove to the hotel. After paying the driver, I checked in and the receptionist handed me my keycard.
I took the elevator up to the floor of my room, trying not to cry as I looked at the beautiful hotel. Everything was trimmed in gold and the halls were lined with an expensive looking red carpet, the walls were covered with pale marble and lights accented everything. It had cost more than I wanted to think about but I was going to make the best of it. Adjusting my bag, I made my way down the hallway, stopping at my room.
Placing my keycard in the door, I pushed it open and stepped into the room. Reaching out, I flipped the light switch on and soft light filled the room.
It was better than I had imagined. Stepping closer to the bed, I took in the rose petals scattered over the white comforter that covered the bed. I picked up one, running the soft petal over my fingers. Turning, I looked at the small table that sat in front of the balcony window. A tray was left there with chocolate-covered strawberries, champagne, and long stem crystal flutes.
Dropping my bags, I stumbled over to the table. Picking up the bottle, the sweets could wait.
Removing the scrap of foil, I moved to the balcony. I twisted the metal cording, the cork came off with a loud pop. I shouldered the door open as I took a long swig from the bottle and looked out over the view.
This was what I’d been waiting for. I’d never seen the ocean before, not outside of movies or television shows.
Now it was real, I could smell the salty tang of the ocean, and even in the darkness the view was breathtaking. The stars and moon reflecting over the dark water. It looked like something out of a fairytale.
This night was supposed to have been magical. I took another long pull from the bottle. The bubbles tickled. Making me scrunch up my nose and close my eyes. It was light and bubbly, kinda fruity. Probably would have tasted better if I were sober. I’d taken a nap on the plane and woken up to a full glass of wine and a wink from the flight attendant.
I wasn’t sure how much I’d drank, but everything felt sparkly. A breeze blew across my face and I opened my eyes. A bath, that’s what I needed.
It would help me relax, I’d been dreaming about soaking in that massive tub since I’d seen the pictures.
I took another long pull from the bottle before moving back inside the suite and making my way to the bathroom. Bumping my hip against the dresser. That was probably going to leave a mark. Like my broken heart, the pain was dulled.
I sat my drink down and tugged my sweater over my head. Letting it drop to the floor before I picked up the champagne bottle and took another swallow, moving into the bathroom and turning on the light.
The bathroom was just like the pictures. All tile and marble with chrome finishings, the fixtures even looked fancy. I’d probably never see something this nice again and I was going to enjoy it.
Chapter TwentyI undid the bottom tie of her top, then pulled the string behind her neck. She looked over her shoulder at me, her gray eyes wide. Already I could tell that the few bites she’d had were helping her. I pulled the shirt over her head, and she shoved her arms through the holes. “Keep eating, then I’m putting you to bed.”“Only if you plan to join me.” She said, giving me a look that made it hard to think of anything other than pinning her down and fucking her until she couldn’t move anymore. “No where else I want to be.” “Dom,” she said, turning away from me. “When I get home, I know what I’m going to do.”“What’s that?” I asked, wrapping my arms around her so her back was against my chest.“I’m going to move into Kane’s place and go back to work. You know, pick up the pieces.” I brushed her hair behind her shoulders, wrapping my arms around her waist. I wasn’t sure what to say to that. I didn’t like the jealousy that swelled up in the pit of my stomach. On the one han
Chapter NineteenI pulled her closer, tugging her swimsuit bottoms out of my way. I let go of her nipple, watching as she sank onto my dick. Sheathing me inside of her cunt. Her eyes slipped closed and she bit her lower lip. The shadows danced along her skin from the ocean breeze moving through the palm tree above us. She rolled her hips and I moved closer, taking her other nipple between my teeth and giving it a sharp tug before soothing it with my tongue. She rolled her hips in a circular motion and I groaned, releasing her nipple with a pop. Her eyes fluttered open and she worked herself on my dick. “Sarah, fuck me.” I growled and she did. Picking up the speed. The plastic creaking under her hands as she gripped the back of the lounger. I brought my hands up to her breasts, plucking at her hard nipples. Already I could feel the need to come moving up my spine. She drove me close to the edge of losing control faster than anyone I’d been with before.“Please,” she moaned.“Please
Chapter EighteenLeaning my head against his shoulder. “I wanted him to feel in control, so I put our apartment in his name. I pay for it, I loved him so much that I didn’t care.”“Sarah, you deserve to be loved. To have someone that will cherish you.”“I just wanted to make him happy.” I said, scrubbing at my eyes.“I know that you’ll find someone out there who wants you to be happy. Who will love you as you deserve to be loved. If I were with you, you’d never feel the way that he made you feel.” He chuckled, “I may collar you, so the rest of the world knows who you belong to. But you would be cherished. Free to flourish.”My heart beat faster at his words, that someone like him would want me. Want the world to know that I was his. “I don’t know if I could handle a collar.”He kissed my shoulder, “I don’t know, there is nothing sexier than a collar around a woman’s throat letting everyone know that she belongs to someone.” His lips moved lower and I tilted my head to the side. Could
Chapter SeventeenI leaned up kissing him, “There is a lot about me you don’t know.”His head tilted to the side, his finger twirling a damp strand of my hair as he looked down at me. “Was that my prize?”“You didn’t win.”“Neither did you.”“I don’t know about that, I got to kiss a very sexy guy.” “I think I’m the real winner.” Dom said, leaning closer to me. “Why is that?” “Because I get to kiss you.” His lips twitched as he moved down my body.“Dom, what are you-”“Kissing you.” He growled.“We’re in public.” My words were a rush as my heart pounded and I leaned up onto my elbows to look at him.“No one’s around.” He said, his fingers moving along the waistband of my swimsuit bottoms. “Dom.” I panted and he smirked up at me.Dom looked at me, lifting an eyebrow as he waited for me to say something. I didn’t instead; I watched as he leaned closer. His nostrils flaring, there was something so animalistic about him. About the way he seemed to hunt me down. He pressed his lips a
Chapter SixteenShe turned around and my mouth fell open, the bikini top pushed up her full breasts. Her skin bore love bites from last night, and my wolf wanted to howl in delight that we’d marked her in such a way. I wanted to claim her, to see my bite on that sweet spot low on her neck. “Swim with me?” She asked, turning towards the crystal blue water. Tossing my shirt onto the lounger, I all but tripped over my flip flops trying to follow her.***Sarah POV***The sand was warm between my toes as I ran towards the water. I’d never been to the beach before and seeing the ocean up this close was something I had always wanted. I stopped at the edge of the water, letting the waves splash up over my toes. It wasn't as cold as I'd thought it would be. “Sarah?” Dom asked, and I looked over my shoulder at him. “Never have I ever been to the beach.” I giggled and he grabbed my hand.“So this is another first that I’m getting to share with you?” Dom stepped closer to me, his hand coming
Chapter Fifteen“Romance, the hallmark-er the better.” I blurted out, feeling my ears heat up. Her face lit up and I could see that my answer made her happy. “I write romance, I live for that happily ever after.”“That’s how the best stories end. How about after this we go for a walk on the beach, maybe go check out some touristy things?”“I’d like that.”Breakfast was had with some light conversation and I found the more that I talked to her, the more that I was starting to like Sarah. Once we were done eating, Sarah and I changed into swimsuits. She pulled the sundress back on before tying her hair up into a messy bun. Topping it off with a large pair of dark sunglasses. She pulled out a striped beach bag, “Did you need me to carry anything for you?”I grabbed some sunscreen from my bag, handing it to her. Our fingers brushed as she took the blue tube from my hand. I felt sparks move along my skin. She sucked in a breath and I looked up at her, my lips twitching into a smile.
