CHAPTER 33: TEASING

REAH'S POV 

Luna Bella stood up, "We should leave now. Xavier must be waiting," She said and I agreed with her. 

The last thing I wanted at a time like this was to annoy Alpha Xavier again. Especially, after I found out that he helped my mother. 

We left the Cafe and went home. Getting inside, Luna Bella had to leave right away as her doctor was already around and waiting for her. I stood by the door to Alpha Xavier's room, trying to assure myself that it was gonna be okay. 

I opened the door and entered, I saw Alpha Xavier sitting in bed and staring at me "Did you take your nutrients this afternoon?" He asked and I frowned. 

"Is that why you asked me to return home immediately?" I found it hard to believe that the reason he asked me to return home quickly was because he wanted to ask me that. 

"Isn't that enough? You should know that the only reason you are still alive right now is that baby in your belly and if anything happens to it, no one can save you from me," He said calmly but I felt my heart go cold. 

I looked at him and nodded "I will go take it right away," I said and walked toward the table. 

Someone already arranged the nutrients there so I just picked the ones for the night and swallowed them. After that, I walked into the bathroom to have a bath. 

So, he wouldn't enter with me, I locked the door from behind. Later, I walked out with my robe on and sat in front of the mirror to dry my hair. 

"When you are done, you should put this on," His voice entered my ears. 

Turning around, I saw him throwing a bag at me and I caught it. Opening the bag, I found out it was a nightwear. I let out a deep breath and nodded my head. 

I finally finished drying my hair and stood up, walking toward the bed. I laid beside him, he did not say a word and because I knew it was not time to sleep yet, I did not make any move to satisfy him either. 

"I went to the hospital today and I was told you changed my mother's ward to VIP. You even invited experts all over the world to treat her..." I started, Fiddling with my fingers. 

"Yes, I did," He said and after that, his expression turned colder but he didn't say more. 

"Thank you. I wasn't expecting you to help but I'm indeed grateful," I told him and after that, I moved closer to him. 

I have no idea why he did that but I already knew there was no way he would tell me either. I also knew my appreciation meant nothing to him so to show my gratitude, I decided to satisfy him instead. 

I placed my hand on his belly and moved it down slowly, stopping at the tip of his trouser, I looked at his face and saw that he had his eyes closed. Seeing that he wasn't going to stop me, I decided to dip my hand into his trousers.

My hand moved swiftly down his body and grabbed his dick, I wrapped my fingers around it and started playing with it. I moved my fingers gently, waiting for it to rise higher while I looked at his face again only to see that he still had his eyes closed and he looked like he wasn't enjoying it very well. 

Seeing that, I decided to stand but realised my body was heavy. I frowned slightly, What was wrong with me?

"The nutrients you took, you need to sleep after taking them," 

Alpha Xavier's voice rang in my ears and my eyes widened. So, that was the reason...

I nodded and closed my eyes but refused to remove my hand from his trousers. I continued playing with his dick as my eyes turned heavier and soon, I slept off. 

The next morning, I woke up with a more refreshed body. Opening my eyes, I realized that Alpha Xavier was already up again and he was even prepared for work. 

"Good Morning," I greeted him as I stood up from the bed. 

I entered the bathroom where I had a quick bath and soon, I was ready too. We walked down together after taking the nutrients. 

"Good Morning, beautiful Reah!" 

Luna Bella, who was already waiting for us in the dining was excited to see us and she stood up to walk over. She hugged me gently "How do you feel today?" She asked. 

"I'm fine, Mum. What about you?"

"I'm as strong as I can be," She laughed. 

"You are already ready for work. I asked the maids to prepare your favourites. Come eat before Xavier would show his angry face again," She held my hand and led me toward the table. 

"Good Morning, Mum," Alpha Xavier greeted. His voice was as cold as usual. 

Luna Bella just looked at him and returned her attention to me without saying a word. She placed some plates in front of me and started serving me herself. I tried to stop her but she wouldn't let me. 

We spent the next hour eating and when we were done, Luna Bella saw me out of the house. 

Getting to the car, the temperature turned cold again and I could only bury my head in my phone. 

"The Luna ceremony will have to be postponed," Alpha Xavier suddenly said. 

I turned to look at him with confusion in my eyes "What do you mean? Why is that?" I questioned. Was he planning to postpone or cancel it?

"My mother will be travelling next week for her treatment after which she will only return in three months. Do you think you can perform the Luna ritual without her around?" He asked and then moved closer to me. "I feel like it's actually a blessing in disguise for you. Do you know you would lose your life if we performed the Luna's ritual without consummating our marriage?"

"What?" I was shocked. 

He nodded and looked away, 

Like that, he said nothing again until we got to the office. I couldn't take the matter off my mind, was he lying to me? No, he had no reason to. So, if I had performed the Luna's ceremony in a month as intended, I would have died.

I shivered in fear, my heart turned cold and I felt even more scared of what my life had become. 

Alpha Xavier and I went into his office together and after arranging his table, I left his office. Getting out, I met Fryster already sitting beside my seat. "You are here? Good Morning, Fryster," I greeted. It was nice seeing him again after two days of not seeing him. 

His eyes sparkled when he saw me and he immediately covered his mouth "Reah!" He called excitedly. "How's your health? You were not around for two days and it felt like two years!" He went on. 

I shook my head and laughed. How could work be tiring when I had such a sweet person around me?

"I'm fine now. I had to stay in the hospital throughout the day before yesterday and yesterday, after getting discharged, I had to rest more. How have you been?" I explained to him, smiling brightly as I walked over to my seat. 

Fryster nodded. "Alpha Xavier said so. I wanted to call you but sadly, I do not have your line. Quickly give me, please. I don't want to be so restless as I was yesterday and the day before yesterday anymore," He pleaded and I chuckled. 

I collected his phone and exchanged our contacts. "Thanks for worrying about me," I said, returning his phone to me. 

Fryster saved the line and nodded his head. "Ah Yes, that night, after you fainted, I tried to take you to the hospital but a man suddenly came in and took you away. I was even trying to fight the man but he told me he knew you and even said some things that made me believe he did. Who is he though?" His eyes were filled with curiosity as he questioned. 

I was deep in thought too. Who could that person be?

"He's a friend," I decided to lie first. I was sure that person would be one of Alpha Xavier's people. 

Fryster's face expressed a knowing smile as he gave me a side eye "Or is he your man?" He teased and my eyes widened. 

"He is not," I shook my head, denying it. 

Fryster laughed "I can tell he is your man. He looked very respectful and cool, oh! You are so lucky!" He continued teasing me. "When will you introduce the handsome man to me? I need to let everyone in the company know that you are taken. Though it breaks my heart, I need to accept it,"

Without a doubt, I knew Fryster wouldn't stop teasing me for the whole morning!
