CHAPTER 32: ABOUT YOU

REAH'S POV 

She made me choose more than ten bags before we were finally able to leave the store. We made our way to the Cafe she talked about and my eyes widened when I saw it. 

It was a very big place, I felt like it belonged to the clothing store as they had the same name but what was even more fantastic was the decoration of the Cafe. 

It looked more like a bar and the lighting was a bit dim. We walked inside and we were immediately attended to. We were led into a room which I assumed to be a VIP room. 

The room wasn't very big but the design was exquisite. Luna Bella took my hand and led me to a seat, "We will have fun here for a while. Your husband should get home in two hours. We will leave then, too," She said and I agreed with him. 

We were served, Luna Bella watched some videos on her phone for a while before she decided to drop it. "Tell me about yourself, Reah," She suddenly requested. 

I was surprised and I turned to look at her, unable to hide the surprise in my eyes. 

"Don't be so surprised. I did not do any background check on you," She explained and I was even more surprised. 

"How did you know about me then? You rescued me from those kidnappers and brought me home. Why did you do that?" I asked her. 

Luna Bella let out a deep breath and looked a bit embarrassed. "When your husband refused to give attention to any woman and I realized my condition was getting worse. I thought I might die anytime soon so I decided to set him up with a girl. I already arranged a friend's daughter who would sleep with him and become his woman..." She paused. 

A small smile played on her lips as she lowered her eyes, "I don't know how it happened but the little girl refused to go because she was scared of Xavier's anger and then, I heard that someone else entered his room that very night. I immediately dug into the case and found out that it was you. I was bothered at first, I knew nothing about you and I was wondering how I should go about it until I found out you were pregnant. I threw all my thoughts away and decided to match you guys together... This is how it ends up," She explained. 

I was stunned for a while. I had always wondered who had the gut to drug someone like Alpha Xavier but who could have believed that it was his mother?

Wait, wasn't that why Alpha Xavier hated me at first?

I shook my head. That wasn't the case. He hated me because I made him lose his virginity. He must have hated me because I touched him even though he didn't want any lady touching him and the fact that he loved someone else. 

I had no idea how to respond to the matter. It was shocking and somehow annoying but Luna Bella wasn't someone I could talk angrily to. I just let out a deep breath and sipped the drink in front of me. 

"I..." My phone suddenly started ringing, stopping me from responding which I secretly appreciated. "I'm sorry," I quickly said and brought out my phone. 

Checking it, I realized it was Alpha Xavier and my brows furrowed. "Hello?"

"Where are you?" His cold voice rang over the phone. 

I looked at his mother who was beside me and forced a smile on my face "I'm with mum. We are out on a date," I replied. 

"Come home right away," He ordered. 

"Okay," I replied, still keeping the smile on my face. 

After that, I ended the call. 

"Is that Xavier?" 

Luna Bella's voice took me out of my reverie. 

"Yes, He is," I replied as I kept my phone back in the bag. 

"What was the call about? I noticed your mood changed the moment you answered the call," She pointed out. Her eyes showing her concern. 

I looked at her and smiled "He wants me to return home right away. I think he's home already," I replied. 

Luna Bella rolled her eyes and sneered. "He acts like he is all cool and all. Who could have imagined that he would miss you so much when he doesn't see you in a few hours?" 

I blushed gently and sipped my drink again. How I wished that was indeed the case...

His voice sounded harsh and cold. He must be angry about something again. 

Luna Bella also took her cup, "We should be fast so we can leave soon," She suggested. "Yes, Tell me about yourself," She returned to the earlier topic and I smiled, finding it amusing. 

"I don't really have much to say about myself though," I picked up my silver hair that fell on my shoulder, pushing it back. 

"Wait, did you dye your hair? Why is it silver?" Luna Bella suddenly asked. 

I looked at my long hair which rested on the seat and shook my head "It's natural. I've always had silver hair since I could remember and my mother told me I was born with it," I replied. 

Luna Bella nodded her head with understanding  "Silver hair, Hazel eyes and unparalleled beauty. You are indeed a gem," She praised and I chuckled. 

"My mother fell sick when I was still in high school so I had to do a lot of part-time work to get some money to pay my fees and her hospital fees too. After that, I got a scholarship to one of the best universities in this country and left the school at 21. Since then, I searched for a job for a while but it wasn't easy and I had to continue with my part-time jobs. That's pretty much all about me," I replied, not wanting to talk about Joyce and her brother as that would make me emotional. 

"What about your dad?" She asked and I sighed. 

"I don't know him," I replied,  it sounded silly even to my ears but that was the truth. "When I was eight, I had an accident that made me fall into a coma for a year. After waking up, I lost all memories of my childhood and the only person I remembered was the person I met beside me when I woke up, which was my mother. I tried to ask her how the accident happened but she refused to let me know and I decided to forget it. Ever since then, my mother never mentioned anything about my Dad and seeing the way she struggled to make me happy, I did not want to make her sad by asking her something that would break her heart." I replied. 

Even while talking about my father, I felt nothing at all as I had never really thought about him. My mother had always been enough for me and I expected my father to have searched for us if he was alive. 

There was silence in the room for a while before Luna Bella let out a deep breath. "You've really gone through a lot. You are such a good girl. No wonder I fell in love with you at first sight," 

I smiled softly...
