CHAPTER 6: KIDNAPPED

REAH'S POV 

I stared at the man, who was standing at the entrance and my heart skipped several beats. 

I could see the shock in his eyes, knowing he wasn't expecting to see me either but I was even more shocked. 

I couldn't help but think about the report I just got and my cheeks reddened. I was carrying the child of my first love and this alone was enough to make me happy only if the situation was different. 

"What are you doing here?" He asked coldly, his eyes searching mine. 

I swallowed and took a step back. Seeing that cold look on his face, it was no doubt that he would tell me to abort the baby if he ever knew about it!

"Nothing!" I replied and ran out, making sure he would never find out about my pregnancy. 

I continued running, not stopping until I knew he was far away and wouldn't see me. I felt weak from within, tears rolling down my face as I walked tiredly by the road. 

My mind was messy and there were countless things I needed to figure out but why me? Why did I have to get pregnant at this time?...

I was suddenly dragged into the car and before I was able to register what was going on, the door was closed and the car drove away. 

I looked at the men around me and frowned "What's the meaning of this? Where are you taking me to?" I was forced in between the men but what was more shocking was that none of them had their faces exposed. They all had a mask covering their faces so I wasn't able to even recognize them!

Despite all this, I wasn't scared at all... Maybe because of what was going on with me at the moment that made me feel like my life was coming to an end, something like this didn't scare me at all. However, I was angry!

"You don't have the right to question us!" The one at my right cautioned. 

His eyes, which were the only things I could see, pierced me as if they were daggers. "Do you think you can talk anyhow just because we haven't beaten you yet?" His deep voice pressed on. I knew he was a bad person ~

"Don't do that, man. You know the boss needs her body. We shouldn't defile her!" The one at the front, who was driving scolded the man and I frowned. 

"Your Boss needs my body? What for?" I was surprised and at that moment, my heart was starting to register the things that were happening around me and I was getting scared. 

Why would someone need my body? What for?

"Like I said earlier, You simply don't have the right to ask a question!" The wicked man shouted again and my heart sank. 

I looked at the one on my left only to see that he wasn't even looking at me. There were three men in the room, would I be able to beat them and escape? What was I supposed to do?

I closed my eyes as I tried to think of what to do. I couldn't just let them take me away without trying to fight back, I couldn't just do that!

"Don't worry too much. Just keep your mind at rest and in a few hours, you will be able to rest." The driver said again. His words were calm and his tone was cool too but for some reason, anytime he opened his mouth to talk, I would feel a chill in my body that made me uncomfortable. 

"What do you mean?" I asked with confusion all over my face. 

The man raised his head to look at the mirror in front of him, he was quiet for a while as he turned his hands, changing direction. "I mean... You are dying soon." He simply said. 

What?! Was he playing??

His voice was devoid of any emotion. It was like he wasn't even talking about a human's life!

I subconsciously grabbed my belly and closed my eyes, my lips quivering weakly. My baby... Tears rolled down my eyes as I shook my head. Why was this happening to me? Was this the reason my mother asked me to run away? Was it because of this person?

It was too late already. It was already too late and there was nothing I could do anymore. If I had known something like this would happen or if I had known I would get pregnant like this, I wouldn't have stayed behind!

I was still deep in this thought when the car suddenly stopped. My eyes flew open and my face scrunched up. "Are we there already?" My heart ached for my baby and I couldn't help but ask them, though my heart was racing. 

I suddenly heard a gunshot and before I knew it, the man at my left side grabbed my head and pushed me down. "No matter what, you mustn't raise your head or you will lose your life, okay?" His voice was extremely cold and his hand tightened around the back of my neck, causing me to nod my head forcefully. "Good!" He mumbled before he left my head. 

I heard the door open and the two men around me rushed out of the car. I raised my head slightly, only to see that I was the only one in the car but there were still gunshots outside. My brain started overworking, different thoughts ran through my mind as I thought of the next thing to do. 

This might be the right moment for me to escape and save my baby but what if I was caught and killed immediately? 

I wasn't scared for my life, however, I needed to protect the life inside me and... I needed to stay alive for my mother too~

The car suddenly shook violently and soon, I heard the door closed. "You're here," A soft voice mumbled and my body shook. 

I trembled under the voice and closed my eyes, not saying a word. The engine started, and the man said nothing as he drove the car away. My heart was racing heavily against my chest, I couldn't bring myself to open my eyes and I had my head lowered there as if raising it could make the man kill me!

I knew the man inside the car wasn't one of the men earlier. It was a different man entirely and that was what scared me the most. At least, I knew the ones earlier were planning to use me for something but what was this man going to do with me?

"You shouldn't stay so scared, Girl. I'm not a bad man." The man's voice entered my ears but how could I believe him? "It was my boss that asked me to rescue you. She saw you when you were kidnapped into the car and asked me to follow you. Don't be so scared. No one is going to hurt you around her." The man explained and only then, did my body calm down a little. 

I opened my eyes, and looked at the ground of the car for a while before I opened my mouth, "Who's your boss?" I asked, my voice was weak and low.
