CAN I BE A HUMAN AGAIN?

Jina's POV

"Hey! Jina!"

I looked back and tried to control my tears. It was Yumi,my best friend. Didn't know that she was at the party too. I waved back at her.

"What were you thinking, girl? I'm calling your name for ages!"

She was panting as she stopped by my side.

"Oh ,sorry!" I tried to smile."Didn't know you were here."

"Didn't know that you were coming too! I can't believe it! You! At a party! Hah!"

Yumi said with a laugh. I stood silent, trying to fix my hair.

"Anything happened dear?"

She came closer to me while patting my shoulder. "You look devastated! "

I couldn't control myself anymore. Tears came running down my cheeks.

"It was Derek!" I burst into tears as I hugged her tightly.

EARLIER THAT NIGHT

I'm Jina, an ordinary high school student. My parents live far away from the city and currently I'm living in the school dormitory room with one of my classmates and also my best friend, Yumi. City life was somewhat difficult at first for an ordinary village girl in many ways. But, I seemed to have a lot of courage to overcome them in my own way. And of course with Yumi's help. I'm now in my second year and also have a part time job at the high school cafeteria to bear some of my expenses.

My life is ordinary and usual - waking up at 6 every morning, going for a jog,making breakfast after coming back from the jog for both Yumi and me,having classes and assignments, and then go to work at the cafeteria when most of my classmates enjoy their time either dating or partying. I am not unhappy with my casual everyday life,but... I am not happy either. Sometimes I feel a little bit of missing something inside of me - something warm, something sweet...

And,then one day,there came Derek,one of my classmates.

"Hey,Jina! Wanna go on a date tonight? Come to the party with me,,,,Hugo is throwing a party at his house,,,so,wanna be my date?"

I was working at the cafeteria on a sunny Sunday morning while he came and asked me out of the blue. It took me a moment to realise what he was talking about. I was just an ordinary girl and had no special appearance, no special appeal that could attract any guy - I always thought that to myself. I was never asked out by anyone in my life,though I was okay with it. I accepted the fact to be single. It was okay with me to be by myself. I was never invited to a casual party, let alone be anyone's date!

"Mmmm,,,,tonight? "

I was mumbling and said in a downtone. I could feel my cheeks and ears becoming hot as I was blushing furiously.

"Yeah! So let me pick you up at 7 then? "

Derek looked at me directly with a smile on his face. I was feeling so shy that I lost words to reply. I just nodded my head and smiled back at him. He suddenly placed his right hand on my cheek which made me startled for a moment.

"See you then,princess!"

Then he rushed out.

What was that? Was I just asked out on a date by Derek? Or was I dreaming!

Derek! The most popular boy in our class! You gotta be kidding me!

After my shift was over,I went to my dorm room and looked for any dress that would be perfect for the occasion. But,most of my clothings were just casual work outfits,casual t-shirts and jeans.

"Why don't I even have anything to wear! At least a normal gown!"

I screamed at myself out of despair.

Then suddenly,I looked inside of my purse and went out again. I took a bus to the nearby shopping mall and went inside.

"May be, I can treat myself to a new dress! Come on! You deserve this! You are always working and have hardly any time for yourself! Tonight will be perfect for something new! Chill out!"

I said that in my head and took a deep breathe and moved inside....

"You just look gorgeous! "

Derek held my hand when I came out of the dorm. I was wearing a white floral gown with matching attires. I blushed shyly as I put my arm on his shoulder. I was stumbling time to time as I was wearing high heels and was not quite used to it.

After a while,we went inside the party hall.

It was my first time to be in such a place and I was quite mesmerised by everything I looked. I was blushing as I entered there, holding Derek's hand. I saw my classmates, they were looking at me with surprise as no one ever saw me like that before. There were drinks and everything. Some of them were having a pool party at one side of the big lawn. I was looking at everything with pleasure . It seemed like a whole new world that was unknown and undiscovered to me for a long time. And suddenly, I found myself in the midst of it,holding Derek by my side. I was happy,,,,happy for the very first time!

"Okay,Let's go!"

Suddenly Derek grabbed my arm tightly and dragged me to a corner.

"Wait,where are we going?"

I said loudly as the music was too much to hear anything clearly.

"We'll see in a minute!"

He gave me a mysterious smile.

We walked along the hallway and went inside to a nearby room. Derek turned on the light. I went inside when I heard him closing the door behind.

"Damn! You look so hot in that dress!"

And without any notice, I discovered myself tightly wrapped in his arms,he was kissing me like crazy!

"Isn't it too hot in here? Or is it just me?"

He smirked at me while unbuttoning his shirt. I could see his hard rock six pack body completely uncovered infront of me.

"Do you want me to help you undress,princess?" He whispered near my ears. I could feel his warm breathing landing on my neck,creating a tickling my sensation inside of my body. Why was it so hot suddenly?

I could bearly hear him saying anything as I was too busy touching his abs and kissing him all over his body!
